    Text inspired by Shadow Slave

    ---

Nobody cared about me and, disillusioned, I decided it didn't matter if I perished. However, in a strange twist of fate, even when he longed for death, they did not allow it. They then chose to attach shackles to my neck, as if that were better. In this nightmare that my life has become, I decided to remain, persist and live. Utilizing all the resources around me, this decision infused me with renewed strength and a superficial freedom. During my first dream, I found you and the one I chose to call my best friend. Who could have imagined that the time we spent together in this reverie would begin to transform us?

I found a purpose to live and inadvertently started following you. You, in turn, rediscovered something to protect, as you watched over everything you had once lost. And she, the young woman who appeared to be pure, had to break her own heart and make decisions whose consequences were unknown to her. Who would have thought that a premonition from a distant future would make you my master, and her the one who sold me?

You, in a desperate struggle to keep us safe, would tear my heart from my chest and, with her assistance, place the thread of fate around my neck, as if the mark of slavery had never faded. There I was, once again in chains, stripped of all my secrets, and, to top it off, lonely, because, ironically, linking my destiny to yours separated us.

Living an existence that oscillated between dreams and nightmares, we came together once again, torn between the desire to run into a hug and the desire to cut any ties we had. Once again, I made a decision: to run away, run away and take refuge in the white desert of snow and ice, only to find ourselves again in the nightmare, the nightmare of my life. Unlike before, this time it was just the two of us.

Shaking the waters of our hearts even more, only to discover that, connected to a river that flowed from the future to the past eternally, we lived a thousand lives, and I learned that, despite not remembering, I came to love you in all of them. However, just as a slave does not declare to his master, I wished to declare as an equal, And, as if destiny smiled on us, at the river estuary, I obtained my freedom. and, knowing that our shared memories would provide a yes, rushing to you, I found only your impassive face and an icy gaze that froze my spine. It was then that my world spun and you, with a soft voice, in dissonance with your expression, uttered the words that would mark a new beginning in my life: "WHO ARE YOU?" I could only laugh, laugh, because I was free, free...
