This is the Hell of Tongue-Ripping (a Buddhist hell for liars). Here, lying is forbidden, and as a result, everyone is engaging in deceit.

    My personal take after Ch.127
    This novel has a brilliant premise, but the author mistakes convolution for true genius. instead of mastering the art of deceptive simplicity, the story gets bogged down by unnecessary filler and forced, over complicated rules, once you look past the fluff, its clear the writing is just trying too hard to look smart rather than delivering actual depth

        Everyone taste is different, but here are a few of my personal classics that I enjoyed.

        ​For calculating protagonists and great world building, Warlock of the Magus World and legendary mechanic, another one I liked but haven't finished yet is legend of the great sage.
        ​If you want stories where the environment forces MC to become ruthless or evil to survive, I recommend wasted spiritual root, suicide hunter, and kill the hero.

    Maybe good if you are in to 5d chess type of novels.

    I think most of the problems comes from the novel being almost impossible to adapt to other languages. There are a lot of times when in order to fully understand whats going on you need to be well-versed in chinese culture and symbolysm and probably be reading in original.
    It's already hard to keep track of going on, so the subpar quality of translation just doesn't help it.

    Loved the worldbuilding and main character.

    If you like this novel you should probably go check God's Imitator as well.
