      There's something weighing on my mind; If this is everyone's last stand, and the best bet to defeat that creature is Shadow Saint, wouldn't it make sense for Mc to ask every soldier for their memories? If Shadow Saint had consumed all the memories available there... would the outcome have been any different?

        Perhaps a proper plan against this unknown could be to get ever memory and echo he can get his hands on, feed as much as possible to Shadow Saint, then on Nightmare and then have the Imp feed on memories (I think memories are very nutritious ngl).
        A one or two tier higher Shadow Saint + a one or two tier higher Nightmare + Mc's mask and armor combo + Jet's direct soul attacks + Shadow Imp's unpredictability is a very solid plan in my humble opinion.

          the thing is, saint is made of stone. i dont think stone has high resistance against cold. especially one from a titan. i might have forgotten if she has high elemental resistance or not but sunny was not even able to see the winter beast. and the winter beast is still a titan. as for memories, saint needs transcendent memories for 1 shard so unfortanetly no. and imp is very weak right now since he has not consumed anything yet. both jet sunny imp and nightmare would not be able to reach its true body. sunnys soul nearly froze before he reached it. hope this helps

            Hi again :)

            Stalwart Attribute Description: [The Stone Saint is highly resistant to all forms of damage, as well as being fully immune to mind and soul attacks.]
            Last I remember, saint was able to earn points even from the lackluster creations of Mc (like 0.5 or less) and it didn't have to be transcendent. At the very very least saint's level can be easily upgraded with the sheer number of memories here. Same goes for Nightmare (At least 1 level higher). Also you need to include echoes as well. (since Mc's shadows can eat echoes)
            Shadow Imp is just for the unpredictable elements, who knows? maybe he can get something by eating a ton of memories. He could also have no effect.
            All in all, drastic difference.
            If Saint can still be upgraded once more through the use of almost all memories and echoes, I think it's worth it.
            Better than not doing anything.

              idk why i never got the notif for this comment but hi. saint gets 1 fragment for each memory of her rank. going lower that gets cut in half. even if all of the awakened there gave their memories to saint it would never have been enough to make her evolve again. and also she might have a high resistance to all damage but if she naturally has a weakness to something that would not do much. as for echoes, sunny needs to actually have the shadow of the echo in order to absorb all those fragments. he can only get that when he kills something not receive it.

    I can’t handle how sunny or jet didn’t at least suggest to the awakened to like try to escape through other means or try to pursue the second nightmare instead of just dying uselessly like this. Like isn’t being a lost better than just dead, and it’s not like they’re delaying it in anyway. Also didn’t they say that Antarctica would take many lives but it would also strengthen the ones that survive so it would kinda keep the balance of the power of humanity, but at this point no awakened even really survived so like… anyways overall really good novel so far.

      Also, before it was stated that professor Obel didn’t evacuate with the ship at first because they didn’t allow Beth to right? But like considering how important Obel was (I mean they sent sunny to go rescue him), they really couldn’t make an exception for his assistant who is also working with him on whatever important research? In fact, shouldn’t she also be high priority like him??

        Yeah the writing is quite iffy, we're dealing with a government that keeps their entire population under strict propaganda and is responsible for keeping the human species from extinction, the pross would have woken up halfway back to civilization after he refused to go voluntary xD

        obel chose that himself. he said to sunny multiple times that if there is a time when he has to choose obels life opposed to another he would want sunny to choose the other. mainly because obel is really old and has a few years left to live. if sunny wanted to he could have placed obel on the ship but he respected his choice. obel said he was satisfied with his life too.

      i mean that would be kinda pointless, no?
      They died without even seeing Winter Beast and all sunny could come up with was "im sorry" their ascension might take half or a full year maybe even more and who says they are going to survive? even if they did, what would happen in the timeline while they are gone i mean yeah all of them dying to blizzard was a bit of poor writing but they gave their spot for the civillians they knew that all of them will perish against a 2 rank higher titan. hope and solace caused their death in the end.
