    Everyone down in the comments are saying Sunny should have let them attempt the Second Nightmare instead of letting them die. Since those comments are old, I'll explain to you new guys why it's not possible.
    It's simple really, to attempt the Second Nightmare, you need to be close to or in the range of an active Gate. Then you'll enter the Gate, which would lead to the region of the Dream Realm from where the monsters are coming out. After killing the yet to come out monsters, or simply escaping, you'll have to find a Nightmare Seed. Only after entering the Seed would the Second Nightmare begin. There's no active Gate here currently. And I'm sure they aren't in the range of influence of a faraway gate either. So yeah, it's impossible. It feels like the cold is spreading to the comments section as well and making everybody slow.

      People don’t normally need a gate to find a nightmare seed. It is just one way.

      i believe you are incorrect, after entering the dream realm when you go to sleep as an awakened you will completely die OR become lost as soon as your body in the real world is killed right? (though we dont know how big the chance to become lost is it should he reasonably big) and when you become lost you can take your sweet time looking for a seed of the nightmare its just that you gotta stay alive in the dream realm now instead

    for the people saying ´they should have attempted the second nightmare`. all the awakened who stayed behind wanted to stay and fight the winter beast. why? because there are millions of people behind that wall. they saw there was the tiniest chance they could beat it so they took it. it did not work out. but they tried and they would be ashamed of themselves if they left millions to die to save their own skin.
