      Awakened can still hurt ascended but I’m still surprised that it got damaged not because of the rank difference but because of how experienced and skilled sunny is, surely his shadow could’ve quickly killed it fairly easily without receiving a scratch

        I kinda don't want to go back to previous chapter to comment but in previous chapter you commented it's normal to be distracted after you feel you won
        And yes I agree with you it's normally normal but it's abnormal because it's sunny that guy is paranoid from beginning never loosing sight of his target even in forgotten shore with nephis he understood this principle so i I'll expect it's either because of cursed sword or some other scheme in background it's been weird since he came in vicinity of this place ormaybe you are just right and it's was just a lapse of judgement he can be sometimes playful after all

    The author gave the mc all the tools needed to be op and for some reason decided that wait he's kinda op, let's not make him use those tools.
