    yeah lowkey author messed up with this chapter, no awakened beast comes out of a first nightmare when they fail its supposed to be dormant, and even then an ascended shadow should instantly eviscerate the creature, as for the distractions he faces trust me that one isnt a mistake or some shitty plot device, its actually a very well thought out and very terrifying premise

    So not only an awakened beast came from a normal human instead of dormant but apparently the shadow manifestation who is supposedly as durable as ascended weapon can't stop him? even if this author need to stuff words to reach the requirement he should make it reasonable.
