It's a mediocre novel that I read long ago, so my memories may be distorted. Nothing new, just a well-written novel, and, yes, it revolves around a protagonist's cheating, but, as far as I can remember, it wasn't that bad. If you want an example of something really bad, try "Digging to Survive: I Can See Hints" .

    Dropped around 280ish chapter.

I won't lie that i pretty much enjoy the journey so far but the cons really bothering me that i can't continue. Which is weird because i can even finished worse novel than this.

    Here's what i hate:
    - Weird plot device. The author really like to make everything goes wrong so that mc can take benefit from it. Which is sounds normal from this kind of novel, but the way it did, is really stupid sometimes. He can gain the same benefit without first making everything worse first.
    - not detailed cultivation stage. Each stage didn't feel special as it's just like a number or level. Besides, the author didn't really explain it either. I've read novel that has more detail for each stage so this feels really bland
    - the mc is stupid. He's portrayed smart but lots of time he's really dumb. He catches a lot of suspicious thing but then goes "well, let's think about it later". Then everything goes wrong (this is one of the top reason for my 1st point)
    - flat side character. Especially you'll find many "young master" that exist only to hate mc
    - etc

Actually i have many dissatisfaction but i can't really put it into word so i think this is enough. Read if you want but don't think too much

I read this one a while ago. I remember it being quite good, but the ending is, in my opinion, very bad.
But it is good for background reading if anything. The MC is quite OP, though it does take abit of work to get there. Though, if there was another flaw, it would be that the power levels just keep on expanding, and hits a cap right at the end.

Allow this humble Daoist to state. hokage

It's an older novel, don't expect a groundbreaking story.
It's light, it's fun, and it's easy to read.

Not poison, simply mortal soup to calm the mind.

    8/10 monk

Older novel and it started in 2021 is crazy (to me).

When I think "older novel" I still think of novels before 2015 before the isekai and system craze. So devoid of two elements this novel has.

As the review below mine said, it’s a good story if you just want to pass the time and turn your brain off while reading. That said, if you want more than that, then this story isn’t for you. The final stretch of chapters was quite rushed, and the system—which is the core of all the mc’s achievements—is never questioned: where it comes from or anything like that. Most stories usually bring this up after a while, once the mc is strong enough. But here, it’s never addressed. You could tell the author had lost a bit of motivation to continue the story in the last chapters, but oh well, it’s fine. Better that than leaving it unfinished or with a terrible ending. At least this one was mediocre but still an acceptable ending.

    Enjoy the read.

Guys its definitely a good novel to read while doing nothing or resting. I would say that its between mid and above average in the concept of a system and its story but it will definitely not disappoint you if your Forte in reading is these kinds of novel. Read it throughly so that it won't disappoint you and blabber about what is happening.

This is review after 500 chapters, this novel was good in the beginning writer had system + cultivation concept where MC levels up his skills and also MC can see his status and skills and I even forgot name of his basic skill, cause it has been long time since MC used it which has potential one of the OP skills has never been used to its full potential from mid chapters and writer pulls stuff out of his a** whenever he wants to.
Overall rating 7/10 (in the beginning) and later 5/10.

Overall a solid 7/10 bc of the ending, but if I don't count that, it's a 8-9/10. The MC makes good use of his golden finger and it felt very satisfying to read for me. I also feel like it scaled the world well giving strong enemies without feeling like powerful people are spawning in just bc the MC went up a level. I'll probably read this a few more times over.

MC sometimes suddenly reveals new techniques or new items. For example; he used the Yin dispersion technique (an advanced version of the Yin gathering technique) on his coffin.

Things like this often spoil the reading pleasure. I wish the author hadn't added such things. When did MC ever learn a more advanced version of his technique?

And I can't calculate MC's financial situation. The author says that everything MC produces is expensive, but due to the shortcomings in the plot, we don't know where MC finds this money.
