Chapter 2031: Rapidly Converting Star Flame into Incremental Fog

There’s actually a Divine Star hiding in the Material Belt? How is that possible?

Initially seeing the Divine Star, Anthony was startled, but when he realized the other party was more afraid than he was, he became more aggressive and immediately pursued, with Negris quickly following.

"Why is there a Divine Star here? Wouldn’t its own gravity disturb the Material Belt?" Negris asked in astonishment over the Soul Network.

A Divine Star is inherently a very massive object with a large gravitational range. Hiding in the Material Belt, its gravity alone would cause all the material to continuously fall onto it. Before long, the entire belt would have been devoured clean.

As soon as Negris finished speaking, the space before them cleared. The two found themselves in a vast void, empty enough to hold hundreds of Divine Stars, which was quite large, yet still not sufficient.

For example, the Little Fireman Divine Star’s gravitational range could reach the edge of the Boundless Space Hole and the other side could touch the Silent Death Sea. Any material without resistance in this range would be gradually pulled closer by its gravity and eventually consumed.

The vast void before them was insufficient to cover a Divine Star’s gravitational range; without resistance, it would be impossible to maintain the current state.

Moreover... where is the Divine Star? Where did it go?

Everyone looked around, but there was no trace of the Divine Star. If it fled, it would have created a passage through the Material Belt, yet no traces were visible now.

"Master, please weigh all things for me," Anthony said as he patted his chest devoutly.

Immediately, Anthony’s vision began to change. From pitch black, it turned to countless lines outlining things invisible to the eye.

Anthony saw a part of the Material Belt on the front left with density visibly different from other areas.

"Come out, I see you," Anthony shouted sternly in that direction.

Not only did it not come out, but the area with different density moved further back, heading deeper into the Material Belt.

Anthony threw an Energy Sphere towards the area of inconsistent density, which exploded with a boom upon reaching.

"Don’t hit, don’t hit, I’m coming out, don’t hit me," a panicked voice called out as a large mist drifted out from the inconsistent density area, slowly coalescing into a ball in the void.

"Isn’t it a Divine Star? Why is it all Incremental?" Negris asked in confusion over the Soul Network.

Anthony affirmed, "I saw Divine Light earlier; it must be a Divine Star. Is it tricking me? Was it not what we saw earlier? Is there another Divine Star here?"

Ursman’s voice echoed in the Soul Network: "Could it have mastered the technique of quickly converting between Incremental and Star Flame?"

Though not following in person, Ursman’s consciousness projected over to watch the whole process.

Negris said, "Even if it can quickly convert Incremental and Star Flame, it can’t create a Divine Star Core."

No matter how much Incremental there is, a stable core is needed to form a Divine Star. Without a core to support them, Star Flames or Incremental are nothing more than a heap.

The Abyssal Big Mouth spent a long time devouring the entire Silent Death Sea just to ignite a core.

Now there’s a Divine Star here that can quickly unravel itself into a heap. Where’s its core? Did it unravel as well?

Discussing in the Soul Network, Anthony was already interrogating the mist: "Who are you? Why did you run when you saw us? What did you do? Speak!"

The mist weakly replied, "I... I was scared, so I ran away."

Who was Anthony? An Old God Stick. When you weaken, he gets stronger. The mist’s weak demeanor bolstered Anthony’s momentum: "What are you scared of? Did you do something bad to us, that’s why you’re scared? Speak, what did you do!"

"I... I didn’t do anything. As soon as you came, I ran away, didn’t do anything at all..." The mist was on the verge of tears.

"Then why did you run? What’s your name?" Anthony’s tone was harsh.

"I... I have no name." The mist weakly replied.

"Then why did you run? No need to run just because you have no name." Anthony’s tone softened a bit, though he secretly thought: As expected of a Divine Star, it has no name.

The mist said, "I was scared."

"Scared of what? Scared of us? Have you been hit by beings like me before?" Anthony’s tone softened a little more.

By adjusting his tone’s pace, Anthony skillfully manipulated the mist’s emotions. Compared to a few sentences ago, it was no longer as panicked and said: "I haven’t seen other creatures. You’re the first moving thing I’ve encountered."

"Is there no other living creatures here?" Anthony asked questioningly.

The Void is truly barren, but not the Material Belt. The Material Belt is richly endowed with materials, so there should be many living beings. In the Silent Death Sea, Anthony had seen juvenile Devouring Abyss, Deceit Tree, Undead Dragon People, and more.

"There are some little bugs. They scavenge my light and squeak at me," said the mist.

"Light? You can emit light? I saw you emitting light earlier, why no light now?" Anthony asked.

"I... I..." The mist stammered.

Anthony’s tone turned ’stern’: "Why not reveal your true form? Are you trying to deceive me with a false appearance and then attack me?"

Anthony was too adept at putting pressure. Having seen nothing like it, the naive Divine Star quickly contracted inward, and a small Divine Star Core emerged from the Dimensional Space, igniting the mist gathered around it.

Anthony, Negris, and Ursman couldn’t help but slap their thighs (waist muscles), the core had been hidden in the Dimension, and the rest transformed into Incremental Fog, easily hiding itself.

This was a Divine Star only an eighth the size of the Little Fireman Divine Star, or call it a Dark Star. Its core was just a small cluster, roughly the size of a leaf from the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms.

With the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms’ leaf only having a diameter of a couple thousand kilometers, on a Divine Star Core, it’s an exceedingly small volume, easily stored within a Dimensional Space.

As long as the Divine Star Core is stashed away, and the remaining Star Flame quickly converts into Incremental Fog, it can easily hide.

An ingenious concept, not too difficult to execute, with a very effective result. If not for Ange, who could discern a denser area within a chaotic Material Belt?

In the Soul Network, Ursman quickly asked: "Ask him, who taught him to cut such a large Dimensional Space? Also, how does he quickly convert Star Flame into Incremental Fog?"
