Important Announcement

Hello, dear readers.

As I had mentioned in the author's note under the last chapter, the Simulacrum in right in front of the finish line. It's been seven long years, but all good things have to come to an end sooner or later. I'm still planning to write more for he setting though, and I have a whole lot of post-epilogue extra chapters in mind for the side-cast and other random shenanigans, but as far as the core of the story is concerned, it'll be over soon.

So, you might wonder, what is this post all about? Is Egathentale going to announce his next project here? Oh, no, dear readers. You know me. I don't do things the normal way.

...

I'm announcing TWO new projects!

I haven't been sitting on my laurels over the months... or rather, years, and while writing the Simulacrum, I also started working on two different works in parallel on Patreon. As of now, both of them have their first volumes completed, so I'm going to make this into a small event that will look something like this:

* Both novels will get a three-chapter mass release on the first day

* Then daily releases for the rest of the week

* Finally, one chapter each on every Tuesday and Thursday until the volumes are over

Once both volumes are fully released here, whichever work gains more momentum will become the new main project, with a guaranteed two chapters per week, while the other will be delegated to secondary priority, with a less rock solid schedule (though I'd still like to make it at least one chapter per week). Mind you, these aren't going to be Simulacrum chapter-length, only 3-4k per chappie, because I don't want to get carpal tunnel syndrome.

Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.

As for the stories themselves, here's a small teaser:

The Economics of Resurrection

Genre: High Fantasy, Slice-of-Life, Business Management, Comedy

Premise: Our protagonist is a newly raised skeleton in a late-modern high-fantasy setting. Due to a pact made with the goddess of the underworld before his untimely demise, his soul was set aside and ready for a proper resurrection in a temple. However, unbeknownst to him, the centuries and the misadventures of the gods weren't kind to the economics of the world, leading to rampant inflation and the entire continent going bankrupt, barely kept afloat by the state-sponsored Adventurers Guild. Stuck in his skeletal body, he and his eclectic group of unlikely allies set out to gather funds for his resurrection, unintentionally laying the groundwork for a brand new industry and drawing the attention both the crown and the literal criminal underground of the continent in the process.

Fragmentum Mundi

Genre: Heroic Fantasy, Adventure, Comedy, Regression,

Premise: In a small world, the conflict between the Hero and the Demon King is a reoccurring ritual required to maintain its integrity. Due to an unexpected mishap, our narcissistic, foul-mouthed protagonist ends up delivering the coup de grâce to the Demon King, dragging him into the time-reversal of the new Cycle. Now, armed with powerful boons and the Demon King hitching a ride in his head as his chronicler, he sets out to prove himself better than the Hero by finding, capturing, and rehabilitating the great villains of the Hero's story. Yet, even the best laid plans rarely survive contact with reality (and chance encounters in sewers).

Now, on the topic of the release date... well, I was planning to put everything into motion tomorrow, but I was unaware that there's now an up-to-48-hours long approval period for each newly published work, so all I can say it that they're coming sometime next week.

So yeah, that's all. Have a nice day, and if the approval process doesn't hit a hitch, I'll see you here soon with actual links!

Yours truly,

Egathentale
