"You can’t eat it."
"I want to eat it!"
I replied to Luna, who seemed to want to jump from my shoulder and just slurp up the snake noodle in front of her. I held her in place as I shook my head.
"You understand well why we have to keep her."
"Yeah, but I don’t want to! I am the only one you will need! The rest of it I can eat for you!"
Luna shouted with a spoiled voice, shaking her head left and right, her wolf eyes focused deeply on the snake. I could see her swirling her lips around her teeth like she was just waiting to eat the snake. I felt a small headache at the situation as I looked at the poor snake still trembling down below.
"I agree, I only need you!"
"See! Now let me eat it!"
Just before Luna could jump, I held her in place, keeping her strict, holding her wolf lips from opening and swallowing up the snake. She just shrugged and fought back in a playful way against my hold as I lifted her by her front legs, held her to look in front of me, my eyes meeting her wolf’s deadly ones as I spoke.
My words made Luna pause. Her strength in fighting against her possessive traits to not allow any beasts else to stick close to me. Before that would have been an issue, but right now Luna lies in my own divine kingdom, which means she has to keep my interests first, and she can’t just go around killing or eating things just because she wants to.
Feeling playful, I moved my head closer, placing my forehead against Luna’s forehead, my voice soft as I spoke.
"Luna, I trust you the most in this world. We moved through this world when we were nothing, when I wasn’t a fraction of this and when you weren’t the god you are now. Just Austin and Luna against the world. We fought, we bled, and we spent a lot of time together. Will that change or go away just because I take this beast under me?"
To my question, Luna stayed silent, my forehead still against hers, her soft fur rubbing against my forehead. I could feel her dissatisfaction just flow away from her. Unlike the rest of the girls who are affected by the corruption that sparks with extreme obsession, Luna isn’t like that at all. She does have an obsession with her to keep me.
But that comes from the inner godly pride and ego of the beast that ruled above several others. One of the 5 divine beasts, the inner animalistic desire that breathes in her that won’t let her share. And I understood it. That’s why I am not pushing it away but accepting it. And truly, I have no desire to take any other beast other than Luna with me if it were all normal.
I would without doubt 100% keep my life in her hands and fight with her to the end of the world. I love her and care for her. If the world chooses to go against her, then I shall stand by her side and take down the world with her. I respect and care for her. That’s why, if she is vehemently against this choice, then so be it, I will throw the beast to Emma and have it end there.
The only reason my greed sparked is because of this beast’s talent; I don’t give a shit about it. I don’t think any beasts or companions that come later will ever fill the position that I have for Luna. The things we went through, we went through when we were weak, when my life wasn’t my own to decide upon. It was the same for Luna, too.
Thus, when I held myself to her, I passed on those feelings and emotions of the same and at the same time, I felt the same from her. She did dislike it, but she also accepted it. For what’s coming, it will change the structure of everything, and when that happens, we will carve a part of the world for ourselves. And at that time, the more talented and powerful that stands by our side, the more useful they will be for us. And with this, I easily soothed away the dissatisfaction that was in the heart of Luna.
A smile came to her wolf-like face as she relaxed herself into it. She was happy that I accepted her problems, and even more so, the emotions that lay as companions we still had. So I pulled her face away from mine, looking at her with a smile as I spoke.
"Together, always..."
"Till the end of all."
Luna added, after which, with a humph, she appeared back at my shoulder, relaxing herself into me, permitting me. And she knew, for all time, she would be number 1.
Now having satisfied my cute wolf who could eat this whole world, I turned down to look at the snake. It finally raised its head to look at me, its eyes filled with worship of Luna. Even such a weak beast could feel a sense of worship and divinity towards the beasts that rose from nothing to touch upon the heights of power all beasts dream of achieving in their life.
I smirked.
"If you choose to follow me, I won’t coddle you. I will give you growth opportunities, but that will come with risking your life and getting stronger for what I have in mind. I cannot have weak beasts by my side."
The snake nodded its head up and down, to which I finally placed my hand above its head. Soon, a contract was formed between the two of us, binding us strongly, keeping a flowing strength between the two of us. And I even went a step ahead to bind its unique life form and biology to my kingdom. Soon, a shifting of a single blue and red formed around it, making the purple around its body stronger, after which it faded away.
Its eyes were now filled with affection as it opened up, landing on me. I could feel its desire to rub itself against me, but the wolf at my shoulder was giving it such a hard eye that the snake knew if it made a move, its life wouldn’t be easy anymore going forward.
Seeing it behave, Luna gave a huff. After which, it comfortably just lay on my shoulder, making me smile.
"Don’t worry, I have plans for you."
I said, patting its head, and with a puff, it disappeared from me as I stored it away in my space. Then, having dealt with this, it was time to deal with the next step.
"Luna...."
I called out. I didn’t have to say what I wanted. I could easily pass it on to Luna, who understood what I wanted. Thus, within the next minute, a pup-like wolf fell in front of me. My eyes landed on it. Its talent is quite strong. With effort, it will be able to reach the peak of the Origin realm, and by sticking close to the guy, it will be able to break through and walk upon the vast efforts of maybe the Imperial realm. More importantly, it’s a dude, and when he becomes a human, I am sure he will be buff and big.
Musing on that scene in my mind, the pup directly knelt when it appeared in front of me. I smiled at it. It already knew what was up. I had already conveyed it to Luna, who had instructed this pup on what to do. Funny enough, this wolf was in Origin realm 3, matching that of the snake. I was replacing what he was getting with what I wanted.
Lower quality in a way, but good quality still.
Plus, it’s a blessing for the wolf too. Moving around with a regressor will help break its own limits. Moreover, this wolf came from the divinity that lay under Luna, which means once contracted to him, the wolf’s loyalty lay to him. But when asked and confronted by Luna, it will still stick to its side. The function being simple, as in when the Origin God comes and tells a married man to fuck her, can he even resist?

Thus, I left the place, one of the first and largest ones already taken care of as I left. Now I floated above the dude who was getting close to the waterfall. So I stood by as he moved through the beasts, barely surviving, fighting for his life, moving into the waterfall, getting in and then meeting the pup. Thus started a huge fight from there.
The fight went as expected, ending with both their defeat in a way, but the dude coming out and winning with a sliver of extra push and luck as they lay panting on the ground. To which he came closer, gave the pup a fist bump.
"The name’s Hover Hill. Want to follow me?"
