It was highly suspicious since the time the guy got "scared into immediately passing them the password".
They're also quite bold to go after the sentries, when what they want to attack is a major base.
Some of you may know, but nowadays, even those cosy security grandpas in a mildly important places, like universities, museums, etc. need to check-in every xx-minutes into different sentry points.
It was made mostly to stop them from sleeping on the job, but it's also a great way to make incapacitating them quite useless.
Based on that, I'd expect the Germals (Germany would be a copyright infringement, I guess) to have even better ways.
And what we know as below-30-members team may not exactly have a chance against a whole bastion of PREPARED enemies. (Unless they almost all have superpowers, idk. If so, the chances are there)
Not like I can think of many other solutions of the top of my head.
Unless that's the scouting part, and the army comes next, since it's near the border anyway.

In conclusion, it's gonna be chaos. Which we like.

The location of the base is true, but the data like how much personil in there, trap placement, what weapon they has is fake whoknows
If they didn't put the base location then how can they trap them in there? sigh

No, some of the data should be real. So they can lulled into a false sense of confidence, and then, just when they think they won.... We grab them all in one big swoop!

Another chiche trope in Chinese novels. But this novel manages them in a good way.
