Chapter 3019: A Technological Challenge

In reality, the Esoterist knew exactly why the Esocline Federation was being targeted.

He understood it because he was engaging in the same process that would have led to the Esocline Federation being targeted.

Most of the Panama Continent was covered in forests.

The esoterification had altered the very fabric of the continent in the span of nearly two decades, turning it into an unrecognizable continent of which the human domain occupied only a minority.

Which meant that most of the continent would give off only an organic electromagnetic sensory signature. The electromagnetic radiation that passed through most of the continent would absorb specific wavelengths that would allow someone studying it to identify that most of the continent was comprised of flora.

The human nations on the continent would give off a signature that wasn't quite technocratic since only one nation employed technology in literally every square foot of the nation.

The Esocline Federation was the only nation that would register as a heavily technocratic and advanced civilization.

There was only one deduction to be inferred from this.

"…There are intelligent, technologically advanced civilizations out there with satellite systems technology."

This was a truly shocking revelation.

And yet, a small excited grin cracked at the edge of his mouth.

He didn't like the fact that the nation that he has spent more than a century building was under attack.

He didn't like the fact that everything he had built could potentially be destroyed off the face of the continent.

Emperor of Harmony, he would be lying if he said that the revelation that there were intelligent and technologically sophisticated civilizations out there in the True World was truly exciting.

There was another truth that the Esoterist had intelligently deduced.

"They are more technologically advanced than us."

His fists clenched.

With excitement.

Defiant excitement.

This deduction was also simple.

They had achieved what he had tried to with his satellites before he himself did. He had needed to upgrade his satellite technology before he could even get to it, and yet, the various parties of the True World had not only managed to locate Esocline Federation, they had managed to deploy an extraordinarily fast vessel that traveled across the vast expanses that separated the Panama Continent from the continents of the True World.

This implied that they were vastly more technologically advanced than even the Esocline Federation, making them formidable foes to tangle with.

And yet, the Esoterist did not shirk the challenge.

He welcomed it.

"A challenge unlike anything I have ever experienced in my entire life."

He was always the foremost expert on technology.

No other immortal sage has indulged in technology to the extent that he did. And he was one of the most powerful immortal sages, who to him represented that his path was superior to that of the others.

Only the Beggar Sage could compare to the sheer power that he had thanks to his manipulation of the masses, which the Beggar Sect had used to aid human civilization in calming its people down.

"I admit that I'm inferior," he honestly reflected even as his eyes flared with determination. "But don't assume that I'm willing to remain that way."

He was the esoterist, master of esoteric material science and their applications.

He had no intention of remaining inferior for long.

However, for now, he needed to focus on the incoming vessel.

He couldn't allow the excitement of the future to allow him to mess up in the present against a threat that could very well destroy the Esocline Federation. Even though he himself didn't fear death, for he was immortal, he did fear the destruction of his technocracy.

He immediately began mobilizing some of his top secret projects and any other available resources there were to help him with fending of what could potentially be an existential threat.

Even as the Esocline Federation made its very final preparations for dealing with the incoming unidentified vessel, the Kandrian Empire activated the World Bridge.

Within the depths of one of the most secure facilities at the very heart of the Kandrian Empire, a massive spherical ring began brimming with power began glowing with power as the very fabric of space and time warped while a surge of negative energy warped space, causing it to diverge as a hole began in the very fabric of reality tunneled itself from East Panama to North Panama to the Esocline Federation on coast of the continent.

RUMBLE

The world shook as the portal stabilized.

"Portal open for transit." The voice of the lead researcher reached the various Martial Masters gathered before the large portal, gazing at the Esocline Federation.

The Gatekeeper, Master Vericita, Nel, Master Fae, Master Hever, Master Max, and Master Mana, and a variety of other Martial Masters from the Kandrian Empire, were deployed to come to the rescue of the Esocline Federation.

Among them were two of the three MECHA Masters of the Kandrian Empire.

While Kandria had not managed to cultivate nearly as many MECHA Martial Artists as the Esocline Federation, it had invested heavily in the Martial weapon, making it the second most developed nation in that regard.

"Welcome! Brave warriors of the Kandrian Empire!" A party had been assembled just to hail those who had come to save their nation. "The Esocline Federation will never forget your acts of valor to protect our great nation! Come this way, for the potential battle may be soon to begin."

The forces of the Kandrian Empire had arrived, mobilizing quickly as they waited for the incoming vessel to finally arrive, hastily integrating into crude battle formations, waiting on standby as the vessel had yet to arrive.

The Esocline Federation had rapidly entered into a mode of complete defense within a short amount of time.

With a population of barely one million people, almost all scientists, there wasn't a massive population mobilization that they needed to conduct, unlike the other nations of human civilization, which soon came to learn of the Esocline Federation's plight.
