Chapter 101: My Son Has Already Grown This Big

The ancestral grounds of the Aiven family, training field.

The two clashed like swirling sandstorm vortices, fists howling with terrifying momentum.

Kyle and the Great Elder Alec moved so quickly that even space itself began to twist and distort.

Even though they could perfectly control their own power, the sturdy cold iron floor tiles beneath their feet continuously cracked apart with enormous spiderweb-like fractures. Only the stabilizing formations underground kept them fixed together and prevented them from completely collapsing.

“Bang!”

With a dull collision, Kyle and Elder Alec simultaneously struck each other in the chest, both sliding backward dozens of meters.

Great Elder Alec lowered his head in disbelief and stared at the palm print on his chest!

In terms of pure combat technique, he hadn’t gained any advantage at all? !

Half a day!

Only half a day!

That little brat Kyle’s techniques had already caught up to his!

To him, this was simply a nightmare, because he had originally wanted to enjoy the pleasure of “beating up a sandbag”…

“Hmph! You little brat, you pass!”

Elder Alec looked thoroughly displeased. Flicking his robe sleeve, he disappeared from the training grounds without another word.

At this moment, only Fifth Elder Irlton remained in the vast training field, quietly observing with a mischievous smile on his face; along with Alvaro, who stood like a silent iron tower, and Caitlin, who was covering her mouth while giggling.

“Hahaha!”

Fifth Elder Irlton finally couldn’t hold back his laughter anymore. He stepped forward and patted Kyle on the shoulder.

“You little brat, you really didn’t leave the Great Elder any dignity at all, hahaha!”

“Great Ancestor, please don’t mock me. I don’t want to get beaten up again…”

Kyle rubbed his chest, where a faint pain still lingered. He wasn’t some masochist; getting beaten once was miserable enough. Did the Great Elder really have to beat him up for several more days before being satisfied? !

“Alright, let’s not talk about that anymore.”

Still smiling, Irlton took out a potion radiating a gentle soul-like glow and handed it to Kyle.

“Hurry and drink this Soul Spirit Potion. You should restore your soul body as quickly as possible and strive to break through to the Transcendent realm before the vampire gathering!”

Kyle accepted the potion somewhat puzzled.

“Great Ancestor, is there something else? My soul power can recover slowly, so why rush the breakthrough? And why waste such a precious potion?”

“It’s actually not as troublesome as you think. The stronger you are when attending the vampire assembly, the more face I, your great ancestor, will gain!”

This time, Irlton was determined to leave everyone deeply shocked!

His great-grandson was the undisputed number one among the current vampires!

Kyle rubbed his forehead. He could understand the mentality of elders wanting to show off their juniors, but as the one being shown off, he didn’t enjoy being stared at so enthusiastically.

Sigh!

There was nothing he could do; since they were elders, he could only endure it.

“Remember, you absolutely must achieve your breakthrough before next June!”

Irlton solemnly reminded him once again. Then, with a satisfied smile, he also left the training grounds.

Kyle exchanged a glance with his younger sister. No words were needed; the schadenfreude shining in Caitlin’s beautiful eyes had already clearly expressed her thoughts.

“My dear brother, why are you so outstanding? Best of luck… This time, I really want to know how many vampire ‘girls’ will try every possible way to climb into your bed…”

Just imagining himself surrounded by a group of “girls” hundreds of years older than him made Kyle shudder all over.

Too terrifying!

Meanwhile, Caitlin was currently extremely excited. The elders hadn’t even spared her a second glance and had simply allowed her to continue “wandering”!

“Alvaro, quickly! Take us back to Coral Thorn City!””

Having not seen Dean for a long time, Caitlin impatiently urged.

Alvaro’s gaze fell upon Kyle.

Kyle’s expression darkened as he unhappily nodded.

He was currently thinking about how to find some trouble for that little bastard Dean; he desperately needed a punching bag right now!

Kaluo Continent, Crescent Empire, Silver Sand Coast, temporary medical warehouse district at Coral Thorn City Port.

At that moment, O’Brien was fully focused on expelling death energy from a patient when he suddenly sensed a familiar aura rapidly approaching.

He diverted a sliver of attention and discovered that Dean had arrived, carrying a child in his arms whose face was still streaked with tears.

He frowned slightly, but immediately concentrated fully on the task at hand once more; saving lives was the highest priority.

Dean stopped not far away and quietly stood there without making any noise to disturb him.

There was nothing he could help with anymore anyway. Only after confirming that his teacher was safe did his heart finally settle slightly.

Afterward, he joined the volunteers, driving transport carts, helping maintain order, and taking care of patients who had no family accompanying them.

Perhaps because Dean was present, although Cab was still immersed in the overwhelming grief of losing his older brother, he was at least no longer quite so helpless…

While everyone remained busy, Kyle, Alvaro, and Caitlin also returned to Coral Thorn City.

“Hah, these people are fairly sensible.”

Kyle saw that the nobles had also contributed their doctors and medicine supplies, while sending many people to participate in rescue and reconstruction work to ensure Coral Thorn City returned to normal as soon as possible.

Furthermore, none of them had considered taking advantage of the opportunity to annex industries whose leaders had died.

This left Kyle, who had originally hoped to reestablish his authority, feeling extremely bored.

The next moment, he appeared atop the central tower, quietly releasing his aura.

In the blink of an eye, Gann Cole, Claudi Haines, Sarkhad Blackthorn, and Bartos successively appeared before him.

Upon seeing Kyle, all of them bowed slightly, their hearts filled with complicated emotions.

“I summoned you mainly to confirm Coral Thorn City’s current situation. This disaster can also be considered a rebirth for Coral Thorn City.”

“My lord, Coral Thorn City currently has sufficient material reserves, and all the major chambers of commerce are actively mobilizing resources to restore normal production and trade. It shouldn’t take too long.”

Gann Cole answered without hesitation. As the only manager who had remained in Coral Thorn City, he had enough authority to speak on the matter.

Kyle nodded, showing approval toward Gann Cole, but then shook his head and said:

“That’s not what I’m asking about. What I want to know about are the auction and the dueling tournament. These two events are Coral Thorn City’s grand occasion held once every ten years, symbols of this city’s strength and credibility! We cannot abandon these two events simply because we encountered such a problem. Otherwise, it will take a very long time to restore their former glory.”

Hearing this, the others fell silent and frowned while considering the issue.

“Think of every method you can. We’ll meet again tomorrow at this time to discuss it.”

After throwing out the task, Kyle instantly disappeared from the spot.

The auction and dueling tournament were nominally organized by them. Kyle at most provided some ideas behind the scenes and profited from them; naturally, the actual preparation and execution work was handled by them.

Afterward, Alvaro brought Kyle and the anxious Caitlin to the temporary medical station.

Very quickly, they found Dean inside the spatial rift, busy with something, while O’Brien continuously emitted holy light not far away.

When Kyle’s gaze landed upon Cab, who was closely following behind Dean while clutching the corner of Dean’s clothes with his small hand, he paused briefly before revealing a malicious and immensely delighted smile.

He lightly nudged his younger sister, who was staring at Dean, with his elbow, lowered his voice, and spoke in an exaggerated tone:

“Oh! Look, my dear sister!”

“This is wonderful, absolutely wonderful! Your son Dean is truly remarkable!”

“After only being apart for a few months, not only have his skills improved, but his ‘son’ has already grown this big?! Look how clingy he is. He must definitely be Dean’s biological son, right?”
