Chapter 2376: I made a move.

"That is correct.

I gave you Bloodedge because it has the ability to connect two Universes as long as there is a medium.

I was hoping for the Bloodedge to sense me from wherever you were and connect you to the Multiverse."

The Seer revealed and Nux narrowed his eyes.

"Ability to connect two Universes as long as... there is a medium?"

Nux frowned, then he recalled how the Bloodedge connected Zylarith’s Chaos to the Main Universe’s Chaos to create an opening the Infinities used to force their way inside his dimension and his frown deepened.

"What was the medium?"

He asked directly.

As far as he knew, there was no Energy or Power in that Dark place, neither could he sense anything here in the Multiverse.

Then...

What medium did the sword use?

"It’s me."

The Seer answered with a light smile and Nux’s frown deepened.

"You...? How did you become... a medium...?"

"You have Zylarith’s memories, do you not?

Then you must know how Relics are made?"

Nux nodded with a disgusted look on his face. He wasn’t a Saint, in fact, he could even be called a mass murderer, but the moment he learned about the technique to create Relics, he felt sick to his core.

To use a living being’s Soul to do—

Before Nux could complete his thought, his thought process froze as he noticed something else.

The Bloodedge...

It was a Relic as well...

And...

It was no ordinary Relic.

It was a Relic that was strong enough to kill even the Infinities.

While the strength of a Relic depends on quite a few factors, one of the most important factors is the strength of the Soul it is being made out of...

For a Relic to be strong enough to kill Infinities... the Soul required to make it would be...

"Avernyth Eternity..."

Nux let out a name and...

"That is correct."

The Seer nodded.

"You used your own Soul to create the Bloodedge, that was the medium it used to sense... you."

Again, the Seer nodded and the more Nux thought about it, the more horrifying it all began.

To think he had been carrying the Soul of an Infinity as a weapon all this time. No wonder the Bloodedge was so ridiculously strong and used that much energy. He literally owned the Soul of an Infinity!

Soon however, Nux frowned again.

"No, if... Avernyth’s Soul is with me...

Then how did... Vashti come into existence?

Did you... divide Avernyth’s Soul into two?"

"In some way, yes."

The Seer nodded.

But Nux shook his head.

That answer did not satisfy him.

"No, I need a proper answer."

He demanded.

Because too many things didn’t line up here.

Even if he believed her story. .

The Seer came into existence because Vashti learned about the Multiverse and Avernyth was killed the way one had to be killed to enter the Multiverse.

But going with that logic—

Avernyth’s Soul shouldn’t even exist in the first place.

Then how was it inside Bloodedge all this while?

Also, if he was not who he was in the original timeline, then why would Avernyth create a Sword using her own Soul? That too, a Sword that was clearly made just for the current version of him.

The Seer looked at him and then—

"I made a move."

She told the truth.

"You made... a move...?"

Nux tilted his head in confusion.

"For quindecillions of years, I have only been observing the Multiverse from the sidelines, like an observer who was watching a movie play out.

I knew the past, I knew the present and I knew the future of countless Universes.

At first, I enjoyed it.

Both as Vashti and Avernyth, I craved knowledge more than power, to me, knowledge was power.

To know everything there was to know about the Universe.

That was when I learned about the Multiverse, a world even bigger than a Universe, a... forest of Universes.

That lit a light in me, I wanted to see, I wanted to understand the Multiverse, I wanted to find out the truth of existence, the start of it all and I wanted to see the end.

Every secret that the Multiverse held, I wanted to know it.

That fire inside me that constantly craved knowledge, that was what kept me going.

The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn but eventually—

After every single sacrifice I made, after I learned every single thing about every single Universe, after I had answers to every single question that once bothered me—

I realized something.

I...

I was no longer a living entity.

In pursuit of knowledge, I gave up my body, my soul, my connection and my right to live in every single Universe.

The knowledge that I so deeply craved ended up becoming a curse that pulled me away from Life itself.

I only became an observer.

An observer who knew everything that was supposed to happen in every single Universe, but could never physically interact with any of the said Universes."

The Seer explained, looking at the Multiverse with a distant look on her face. Then, she slowly turned towards Nux and—

"That was when you appeared."

"Of course, your appearance in itself never surprised me, you were supposed to appear. My projection in your Universe simply noted your existence and didn’t think much of it anymore.

But that was when it happened—

Something that should not have happened.

You...

You didn’t move how you were supposed to move and that surprised me. I looked into you more clearly and then I saw it."

The Seer’s tone changed, her monotony changing to excitement, as if recalling that moment still excited her.

She then pointed at Nux’s Universe and—

"That was the first time your Universe appeared.

A Universe that is different than any other Universe, a Universe with no clear future, a Universe that I couldn’t even visit, let alone study and understand.

And then..."

The Seer then turned to the Universe Nux and her initially belonged to, the so-called ’Main Universe’ and—

"Then the Timeline that has always been constant, the Timeline that has always been unchanging...

Changed.

And the Future—

It no longer existed because you corrupted it."
