Chapter 944: Energy Efficiency |
“These are bold words,” Major Sovignor answered. “Humanity has written records that reach hundreds of millions of years into the past. We know how powerful Seekers can become. If you want to achieve your goal, you have to become the most talented Seeker within the last billion years, and your power can't just be a little higher. It needs to be convincingly higher.”
“That’s my goal,” Kyle answered. “Give me 19,100 years. I will make it happen.”
Major Sovignor shook his head. “You may attempt it, but you will have to gain your own resources.”
“That was my plan,” Kyle transmitted. “I want to exchange Merits for 19,100 years of spare time.”
“That will be 4,770 Merits. I will deduct them from your Emblem,” Major Sovignor transmitted.
“Good,” Kyle answered. “Then, we will see each other when I'm back on duty.”
“Even though I do not believe that you will be able to live up to your claims, I still wish you to succeed,” Major Sovignor transmitted. “Ayuvar needs hope.”
Kyle just shot a quick smile at Major Sovignor before leaving Forward Base 198.
After Kyle left, Major Sovignor closed his eyes for a moment.
“Manny said that we shouldn't do anything risky, but I believe I can succeed. Honestly, I don't know if Major Sovignor has any hope. He seemed a bit disheartened after I talked about hope. However, if everything works out, this lack of hope won't bite us in the ass within the next 19,100 years. I made several bold claims, and they can afford to wait.”
“It's just, if I don't live up to my words, their disappointment might endanger all of us.”
“Well, I've said what I've said. Now, I just need to keep going.”
“First on the agenda, the Major Law of Center,” he thought as he found an isolated place.
Kyle burrowed into the ground and closed his eyes. He focused on his Center and felt the movements and transformations of the Energy inside it.
He had already “cleaned” his Center when he had comprehended the Minor Law of Center, but his Center had reached a completely new level since then.
His Center had become much denser, and since he had once been a Legendary Crusher, his Center had also lost its original shape. Right now, it was more accurate to call it a Core.
Kyle only partially knew how to comprehend the Major Law of Center, but that was enough. The point of the Major Law of Center was to increase the Energy it could put out.

This could be achieved in several ways. He could try making the Energy inside denser. He could try to expand it. He could try to increase the efficiency of its conversion.
First, Kyle dispersed his Infused Center Law, returning his Center to normal.
Then, he started analyzing how it worked.
He looked at how all the different Energies in his Center interacted with each other and how their actions affected the remainder of his existence.
After looking at it for a while, he had already found some things to improve.
“A lot of the Energy in my Core gets converted into Biological Energy via certain transformations. If I can strengthen the way my Core interacts with my Biological Energy, I can increase its efficiency. Honestly, I don't think this is related to the Major Law of Center, but it's something I can improve.”
Kyle focused on some of his Energy Pathways and experimented with them, pushing more and less Energy through them.
Some of his Energy Pathways got injured when he pushed too much Energy through them, but that was to be expected.
After countless tries, Kyle still couldn't push more Energy through them. Sure, he could force it, but the broken parts of his Energy Pathways required Biological Energy to recover, which lowered the conversion efficiency.
Kyle decided to change how some of his Energy Pathways were arranged. The sharp turns were elongated. Small bumps were smoothed out.
He could now push more Energy through the Pathways, but if things were that easy, everyone would have already done something like that.
His body had been created with these turns in mind. The parts of his body close to these turns needed the extra exposure from the Energy Pathways.
However, Kyle didn't give up and changed more.
Sadly, even after years of trying, things only seemed to worsen. Even though there seemed to be pointless curves and bumps in his Energy Pathways, after changing them, Kyle noticed that they had actually existed for a reason.
Kyle tried for two centuries, but nothing improved, and as he changed more and more, he felt like he had been in a similar situation before.
“I feel like this is similar to the time I learned Formation Arrays. After a lot of experimenting, I actually just recreated the same Formation Array.”
“I don't think I can improve my Energy Pathways in any way, but I will still try. After all, I'm also learning a lot about how my Energy behaves inside my Pathways.”
So, Kyle kept trying, changing one thing after another.
After a thousand years of changing his Pathways, Kyle returned to the original configuration. There just wasn't anything he could improve.
However, as he looked at his Pathways, he felt clarity. All of his Energy Pathways made sense, and he knew why they had to be like that.
Then, he looked back at his Center, and as soon as he did, he noticed that the flow was disjointed. The way the Energies moved and transformed interfered with each other, making them weaker.
Kyle's mind translated the transformations and movements into an image of Energy Pathways.
Afterward, he created a new and improved framework and changed how the Energy inside his Center moved.
The normal way to comprehend the Major Law of Center was to slowly solve one inefficiency after the other inside one's Center, since the flow of Energy was so chaotic. It was difficult to come up with a finished design immediately.
This was like solving a Sudoku puzzle by creating a finished layout and writing it down instead of solving the puzzle number by number.
Kyle's entire Center changed, and he noticed several changes.
He was using far less Energy during the conversion, and his Center could absorb Energy more quickly. Due to these changes, Kyle calculated that he could now use twice as much Energy as before.
**BOOOOM!**
Understanding filled Kyle's mind, confirming that he had comprehended the Major Law of Center.
“That was probably not how I'm supposed to comprehend this Law, but it worked,” Kyle thought. “Sure enough, it was worth it to look at all my Energy Pathways.”
Kyle looked at all of his Aspects of Power with understanding.
He knew the Major Law for every single Aspect.
“The meat is here. Now, I just need the other ingredients for my dishes, the Minor Elemental Laws. If I can comprehend all of them, I can start recreating my Infused Laws.”
“With the Major Laws of the Aspects as a base, none of them will be below Level Five. If I can complete the set, my strength will reach crazy levels.”
“But I'm certain that some people have already achieved something like that. If I truly want to stand out, I also need to improve the level and quality of my Law of Hammer!”
“I need to break all of the records!”
“But first, I should check in with the others and tell them about the gamble I've made.”
