Chapter 36: Joining the Sword Spirit Sect

[Half a month later, under the guidance of the village chief, the people of Chi Village prepared to leave. However, the chief didn’t let everyone go separately. Some went in pairs, some in groups of three. The purpose of this was to test the strength of Li Family’s Blood Demon Tracking Skill, to see if it could track multiple people gathered together.]

[If three or four people together could escape detection, then the people of Chi

Village would be safer when they gather in small groups in various places in

Xia.]

[You highly agree with the chief’s decision, as it is also your idea. However, this must involve people risking their lives as bets, which you find hard to request.]

[In the end, the men of the hunting team all volunteered to be the test subjects, completely disregarding their own lives. You admire their selflessness, as the people of Chi Village are truly kind and willing to sacrifice for others.]

[Finally, five people remained in Chi Village, led by the village chief. The others went alone or in teams. However, some of the children were still too young to fend for themselves, so they had to let an adult accompany them, taking a gamble that the Blood Demon Tracking Skill couldn’t track the two of them.]

[During the following days, you and Chifeng stayed hidden in Black Wind

Town, focusing entirely on sword practice and improving your cultivation. Consequently, in this life, with an ample supply of elixirs and spiritual stones, your cultivation progressed much more rapidly. On April 5th, Daya calendar 481, you broke through to the Innate Realm 10th Tier, a considerable advancement compared to ordinary Innate Realm cultivators who take one or two decades to advance to a minor level.]

[Subsequently, you visited the grouped Chi Village people and found that even the villagers who traveled in groups of four were not in danger. At this, you and

Chifeng breathed a sigh of relief.]

[After delving deeper into the Black Wind Forest, you discovered that the village chief and others in Chi Village hadn’t been attacked.]

[Following that, you decided to join the Sword Spirit Sect. By capitalizing on your status as a 4th Tier alchemist, you felt that there was a good chance to gain their favor and access their Earth-tier Cultivation Skill and Martial Arts for cultivation, allowing you to cultivate even more swiftly.]

[Although the Sword Spirit Sect could become your enemy, using their resources to make yourself stronger before crushing them would bring even greater joy.]

[Upon arriving at the Sword Spirit Sect and declaring your identity and intentions, the sect was shocked and the Sect Master personally came out to greet you highly valuing you. Ultimately, you easily became an Inner Sect Elder of the Sword Spirit Sect, with great treatment and fame that spread throughout the world.]

[Following this, you continued to devote yourself to cultivation, practicing

Sword Riding Skill. Because of your high status and immense value, the Sword Spirit Sect wanted to win you over even more by allowing you to cultivate their core skill, Sword Essence Skill, and their martial arts technique, Sword Riding Skill, both of which were of Earth lower tier and extremely precious.]

[You successfully cultivated both skills, and during your time at the Sword Spirit Sect, you unexpectedly became friends with Bai Tianhong, often discussing sword techniques with him and forming a close bond. At this time, Bai Tianhong was much younger than you, only 19 years old. However, at 19, Bai Tianhong already had an Innate Realm cultivation, demonstrating his exceptional talent.]

[In Daya calendar 487, your cultivation reached the Half-step Spiritual Realm, and Bai Tianhong’s cultivation was even more terrifying, having already reached the Half-step Spiritual Realm and comprehended Sword Spirit. Naturally, due to your access to the Sword Spirit Sect’s core inheritance, and exchanging sword techniques with Bai Tianhong regularly, you also comprehended Sword Spirit. However, your Sword Spirit was not as powerful as Bai Tianhong’s.]

[Meanwhile, during these years, you had already found out that the five villagers who stayed in Chi Village led by the village chief still hadn’t been attacked. From this, you understood that the Blood Demon Tracking Skill wasn’t as powerful as you had imagined.]

[On August 1st, Daya calendar 487, you invited Bai Tianhong to Black Wind Forest, delving deep to find a Silver Moon Wolf cub. Eventually, you heard the furious howl of a Silver Moon Wolf deep inside the forest and rushed over.]

[Then, both you and Bai Tianhong saw a group of powerful people capturing a

Silver Moon Wolf cub and fleeing. Their cultivation had reached the Half-step Spiritual Realm.]

[You and Bai Tianhong understood the cause and effect. Afterward, you suggested seizing the Silver Moon Wolf cub to domesticate it as a Spirit Pet which Bai Tianhong agreed to help you with.]

“This Bai Tianhong is indeed really good.”

Wang Ping couldn’t help but praise as he looked at the simulation content displayed on the luminescent screen.

It turns out that despite the sinister nature of the Sword Spirit Sect master, Bai Tianhong was entirely different and had a genuine character.

“The Blood Demon Tracking Skill isn’t as strong as I thought, which puts me at ease. Although the people of Chi Village are still facing the significant trouble of the Bloodline Curse, it is still possible to prevent a genocide from happening. ”

Wang Ping sighed lightly, thinking privately.

Following this, Wang Ping continued to stare at the luminescent screen.

[Next, you persuaded the Half-step Spiritual Realm expert to hand over the

Silver Moon Wolf cub, promising him ample compensation. Seeing your and Bai Tianhong’s identities, he handed it over without hesitation, reminding you of your promise before fleeing.]

[At this, you were surprised that things went so smoothly. You initially planned to use force if trading wasn’t possible. Bai Tianhong was also relieved since they didn’t have to resort to violence.]

[However, soon after, you were found by an adult Silver Moon Wolf. Facing the enraged Tier-7 Demon Beast Silver Moon Wolf, Bai Tianhong wasn’t afraid and fought bravely, while you also unleashed your astounding combat power, fighting the Silver Moon Wolf together.]

[Eventually, the Silver Moon Wolf was killed by your combined efforts. After slaying the Silver Moon Wolf, you both left the Black Wind Forest with its body, eliminating the potential Beast Tide and preventing massive casualties.]

[Afterward, you and Bai Tianhong returned to the Sword Spirit Sect and continued to cultivate. You also started nurturing the Silver Moon Wolf cub with various spirit medicines.]

[In Daya calendar 495, you were about to break through to the Spiritual Realm, but your innate talent was insufficient and your Martial Enlightenment Heart was not firm enough, so you failed. At this, you had a lengthy discussion with Bai Tianhong, greatly benefiting from understanding your own inner world. You then began to temper your Tao Heart, confident that you would break through to the Spiritual Realm within three years.]

[At the end of Daya calendar 495, the Spiritual Realm Old Ancestor of the Xia Royal Family passed away, and the vassals could no longer suppress themselves. They began to rally various forces, declaring themselves kings and coveting the throne. It was also at the end of the year that you learned about the whereabouts of the Fire Spirit Flower…. ]

This comment section is so absurd that I'm actually judging thier morals.

In the first place, human trafficking and the killing it's mother to obtain a pet is both wrong, one being worse than the other doesn't make it just.

They say "it's beast and harmful to people" my ass, such a bullshit to win the argument. Why are you bringing modern logic to fantasy world where strong prey on weak, honestly that beast tide wouldn't have been happened if you just didn't steal the cub. Sometimes even the bear attacks the human to protect it's cub, and you don't see it's domesticated

Seeing all living things as equal, the world is equal.

Thus, the girl’s death is no different from a fox or a tree’s death.

But to a mere mortal, the girl’s death would trigger their anger, hatred, and pity. If it was the girl eating the bear, they would not feel anything. If an old lady was eaten, the pity in their hearts would be greatly reduced. If it was a villain, a murderer getting eaten, they would clap their hands in joy, praising.

In actuality, all beings are equal, and heaven and earth is just.

Nature is fair, disregarding love or hate; it is emotionless, and never gives differential treatment.

Rule of the strong, victor takes all!

The disappearance of a lifeform, towards the entire natural realm and the infinite cosmos, to the long river of history — what does it amount to?

Death means death, who can choose not to die? What talk about a girl, bear, ant, fox, tree, old lady, murderer, they are all lowly! Humble! Mongrels!

    A great quote indeed.

Are you comparing pretty much training a pet dog to enslaving/forcefully breeding people and quite literally using their blood as a resource??? How mentally deficient can you be?

There is no need for any name calling. I am just checking where do you “righteous” guys draw the line. The pets if cultivated enough they will have consciousness on par with humans. I do not see really any major difference on your comparisons. In both scenarios you are using someone against their will. If in a dangerous fight you will sacrifice your conscious “pet” to escape and if you get a technique you can also drain its blood. Does the whole being good concept change when it is not on humans? If the moral line is drawn in a satisfying manner I wouldn’t have to make this enquiries.

These r beasts. If you don’t domesticate it, it’ll continue to harm humans. The mother was also beyond the abilities of mc to domesticate.
