Book 4: Chapter 52

The couple, who usually treated “homework” with overwhelming intensity, were unusually gentle tonight.

There were no deliberate rough movements, no forced domination, no strange positions. They embraced, kissed, and joined naturally, steadily reaching pleasure together.

Again and again, without growing tired of it.

After several rounds, Rosvitha lay on her side, nestled in Leon’s arms.

Having just experienced multiple climaxes, she looked a little weak. Waves of swelling sensation continued to rise from her lower body, accompanied by unconscious spasms.

Each slight tremor shook loose lingering droplets along her inner thighs.

She curled her long, beautiful legs, lightly rubbing against her own skin, producing faint rustling sounds.

“Mm…”

A soft, dreamlike whimper made Leon clearly sense her exhaustion.

“Five times… that should be enough, right?” Rosvitha asked.

Normally, five times was only the beginning.

But tonight was different. Physically they were fine—yet mentally, lingering concerns made them stop while they could.

Leon leaned against the headboard, one arm around his wife’s fragrant shoulders.

“Actually… I read in a book a few days ago that if you’re lucky, once is enough.”

Rosvitha froze.

The moment she understood, she shot upright. The blanket slid down from her smooth upper body to her waist, revealing her full curves and flawless figure.

She glared at Leon, embarrassed and annoyed.

“Once is enough, and you still forced… forced four more times!”

Leon also sat up, defending himself with righteous confidence.

“You don’t understand. Back in the Dragon-Slaying Corps, this had a professional term.”

“What?”

“Saturation assault!”

“Go die!”

Laughing, Rosvitha grabbed a pillow and threw it at him.

Leon reacted instantly, grabbing another pillow to counterattack.

With their stamina barely recovered, instead of continuing their “saturation baby-making,” the foolish couple launched into a full-blown pillow fight.

Hey! I’ve got an idea—maybe we should name the third baby ‘Pillow’!

(Just kidding.)

In the end, Rosvitha emerged victorious.

She straddled Leon’s lower abdomen, knees bent, thighs clamping his waist. Hands on her hips, she looked smug, her tail—somehow—pinning a pillow over his face.

“You’re cheating!”

Leon’s muffled voice came from under the pillow.

“How am I cheating?”

“You used your tail!”

“There’s no rule saying I can’t.”

“I hate tails!”

Hearing that, Rosvitha pulled the pillow away and gently lifted his chin with the tip of her tail.

“It helps you indulge so freely, and now you hate it?”

Leon’s face turned red as he looked away.

“That’s different.”

Rosvitha snorted softly, withdrew her tail, and lay back beside him.

She held the corner of the blanket to cover her chest and lay in his arms, both of them staring at the ceiling.

After a brief silence, Leon suddenly asked,

“When did you start wanting another baby?”

Rosvitha thought for a moment.

“A long time ago, I guess…”

“Back when we went to Sky City to play that live-action interactive game?”

She paused. “Why do you ask?”

“Because on the first night of the game, you quietly came to my room and asked me something.”

Leon continued, “You asked if I had plans to have another baby with you.”

Oh…

Rosvitha remembered.

That night she had actually planned to ask where Leon hid the game item, the Black Holy Stone—but didn’t want to cheat by waking him at two-thirty in the morning, so she changed the question on the spot.

“Yes, I did ask. And I remember your answer… you said you had thought about it.”

She added softly, “I knew you weren’t asleep, so maybe you weren’t being sincere—”

“I was sincere.”

“Huh?”

“Even if I wasn’t asleep, I meant it, Rosvitha.”

Leon kept his gaze on the ceiling, but his voice was utterly genuine.

“I’d already wanted another baby with you for a long time.”

Rosvitha’s eyes lit up.

“Really?”

“Of course.”

For some reason, hearing this made her feel instantly relieved.

Perhaps she had been afraid that if only she wanted another child, it would pressure Leon.

Now that he voiced the same desire, her heart felt much lighter.

“Then I guess…” she said smugly, “you started wanting another baby even earlier than I did.”

Leon raised an eyebrow. “Why?”

“Because it’s obvious. You love me more than I love you, which means I have you completely wrapped around my finger.”

Leon: ?

“No way! By your logic, it had to be you first!” Leon argued fiercely.

There was no way he’d lose to a dragon woman over this.

Absolutely not!

After the pillow fight, the couple launched into another battle.

“No, you loved me first.”

“No, you did.”

“You did!”

“You!”

“You—wait. Why does this sound weird? We—mm—”

Rosvitha’s words were cut off as something soft pressed against her heated lips.

Leon gently cradled the back of her head and kissed her.

Turns out—even the toughest dragon mouth was soft and sweet when kissed.

“Fine. I admit it, Rosvitha Melkvi. I love you more.”

Married man’s survival rule:

Knowing when to concede helps marital harmony.

The sudden surrender left the queen stunned.

She blinked her silver eyes, then protested,

“What nonsense! What do you mean you love me more? I love you more!”

She leaned in and kissed him lightly.

Leon’s outward expression: deep affection, sincere gaze.

Leon’s inner thoughts: See that? Complete reversal. Professional move.

Thus, the couple began competing over who loved the other more.

Their method was simple.

Kissing.

One kiss each, back and forth, neither willing to lose.

But kissing easily reignites sparks.

The desire they had just calmed flared up again.

During one coincidental kiss, both leaned in at the same time.

A pause—then thunder met fire.

“Then… one more time,” Rosvitha said, face flushed.

“Didn’t you say five times was a lot?” Leon teased.

“Hmph. This is called saturation preparation—I learned it from you.”

Leon smiled, lifted her delicate chin, and kissed her.

Lips entwined, desire rose, and the deep violet dragon markings flickered once more.

……

Half a month later, at the border between human and dragon territories.

“This trip back to the Empire won’t be settled in a few days like before. So if your body shows any signs of pregnancy, you must write to me immediately. Understood?”

“Yes.”

The remnants of the Empire were beginning to stir. Leon intended to strike while the iron was hot and drag out both the so-called Shadow figure and the Warhammer Dragon King, Adam—ending it once and for all.

As long as those remnants still lurked somewhere in the world, Leon and his family would never know true peace.

The logic was simple—but previously, both Leon and Rosvitha had failed to see the essence of it.

Claudia had given them the courage to take the step toward a third child.

The maid Milan had eased their inner anxiety.

Now, the couple believed that temporary separation was for a better reunion, and present hardship was for their family’s future.

If they indulged only in comfort and happiness, then when crisis came, it would destroy everything they cherished—twice as hard.

“Noa has her advancement assessment at the end of the term, so she’ll be boarding at school this whole semester. As for Mu’en and Little Light, I’ll take care of them.”

“Thank you. If I finish things quickly, I’ll return immediately.”

Rosvitha smiled and adjusted his collar.

“Safety comes first. No matter what you do, come home safely. Understand?”

“Alright. I’ll come back with every part intact.”

She punched his chest lightly. “Idiot.”

They chatted about the children until hoofbeats echoed from the distance.

A caravan of carriages approached.

It was Rebecca, Martin, and members of the Lionheart Society.

“Captain! Sister-in-law!”

The twin-tailed girl ran over, waving.

“We rushed here as soon as we got your letter! Have you found leads on Shadow?”

“Yes. A general direction. It has to be investigated inside the Empire.”

“Got it.”

Rebecca nodded, then glanced at the silver-haired beauty behind him.

“Sister-in-law, are you coming too?”

“No. I can’t leave the clan for long. This time, only your captain is going back.”

“Aww… I wanted to cuddle with you,” Rebecca whined.

Rosvitha laughed helplessly, then stepped forward and pulled Rebecca into her arms.

Due to the height difference, Rebecca experienced a full, face-first embrace.

“Ahh~ I feel reborn! So this is what the captain enjoys every day. No wonder he never wants to go back to the Empire!”

Leon grabbed Rebecca by the collar and lifted her out like a chicken.

“Once this is over, you’ll have plenty of time to cuddle your sister-in-law.”

Rebecca pouted. “Hmph! Stingy! All married men are stingy!”

“It’s getting late, Captain. We need to reach the next relay station before dark,” Martin reminded.

“Alright.”

Leon pushed Rebecca’s head aside and turned back to his wife.

“If this—”

He pointed at Rosvitha’s abdomen.

“—shows any signs, you must tell me.”

“I know, I know. Go do what you need to do. I’ll take care of myself.”

Leon nodded.

“Write to me. If you feel down, write to me.”

“Okay~”

“If the girls miss me, have them write too.”

“Mhm~”

““And if Claudia sends the donkey over, tell me immediately.” Rosvitha covered her mouth and laughed. “No problem.”

Leon walked backward, listing everything he could think of.

Rosvitha listened patiently.

A breeze swept across the barren land. Her skirt fluttered as she watched her husband depart, silently praying for his safe return.

After the caravan disappeared, she suddenly remembered something.

She tapped her head.

“Ah… I forgot to have him name the third baby!”
