Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You闭嘴恶龙我不想再跟你生孩子了

This is a romance/slice of life novel with a fantasy theme. Before I say anything else, if you are planning to read this then you should read the mtl on this site, I’d say it has better translation than the given translation and obviously many more chapters. The only problem it has is the ending format of each chapter. Most chapters don’t end properly and continue to the next, so you’re still seeing everything but it’s split at parts. Now onto my review:

I’d give this novel a 7.5/10. It is not too deep, and nothing is too complicated. It has similar feel to Ending Maker when it comes to romance, other than the toxic beginning. The first 20-30 chapters we see the mc and the female dragon, still act as enemies but holding back on doing anything to each other as they now have children. To go a little deeper, the mc is a dragon slayer who is extremely op, but gets betrayed by one of his own people when attacking the female dragon’s clan, causing him to get captured by the female dragon and when she’s taunting him and about to kill him, he counter attacks by using a last ditch aphrodisiac attack on her and causing a 🍇 like situation, with the mindset, “you are my enemy and you’re trying to step on me, so before my death I will cause you pain”. This happens in the first few chapters. I won’t talk about morality problems or anything like that because everyone will have their own thoughts on the situation but if you think this is a problem just move on. After 2 years, the mc wakes up with a child, from the same dragon, and the toxicity from the start is because they still have hatred for each other but they have children. The female dragon wants the mc to be the father of the child and forces him to stay, as at this point he’s extremely weak and on top of that the mc doesn’t want to just leave his child alone with his “enemy”. The toxicity comes from how the female dragon gets revenge by 🍇ing him back, and how she mocks him, and the mc gets revenge back in his own ways (also sexually, I guess they like using sex as a method of humiliation). As time goes on the toxicity lessens drastically and they just become competitive, where they tease each other and try to prove the other likes them, similar to Ending Maker. But these characters are sex fiends, constantly thinking about sex. It’s r-15 though so they don’t go too deep into it but it’s still talked a lot about, for example the seduction before sex. Of course this is only shown like 20-30% of the time, still a lot but as time goes on it lessens to about 5%. Next I’ll write some pros and cons if you’re still unsure about starting this. I have more cons then pros but that’s because the pros outweigh each con, most cons aren’t a big problem:

Pros:
- Lovely family. Mc is really a family guy, and the female dragon quickly also becomes a good mother. We see the mc and female dragon change and how the people around them change a lot, especially the children.
- Likable side characters, since this book is long there a lot of side characters, including children, mc’s friends and more
- Decent romance. Other than the early toxicity it’s nice seeing their progression. It doe gets annoying when they drag things out because they’re not completely honest, but they’re both pretty hard headed so it’s expected and not too big of a deal
- Good character depth for the main and side characters

Con:
- The background setting is almost non-existent as even by around chapter 1000 in this site’s mtl we have only seen the human race and the dragon race, but we heard there are many races in this world and they don’t show up at all. It’s only much later that we start seeing them more, but it’s annoying that they haven’t been shown more often because many world shaking events have happened and the mc and his group are the ones who deal with it silently when there are many other strong beings around (not as strong as the mc but they could help)
- Obviously the early toxicity, I imagine a portion of people who dropped this dropped it because of what happens early on, as I almost did
- The mc sometimes missed crucial hints that we can see, making him seem dumb but other times he’s smart so it’s inconsistent. But maybe this isn’t a negative since humans are just like that, but it can be annoying
- Much later on, it feels like the author is dragging the story on too long. There were already multiple places where the author could have ended the novel. Normally I would be happy but for some reason I’m now tired reading this. Especially since the author said he’s not close to being done.
- There’s some plot armor later on, like much much later on. It’s not necessary in the beginning and middle since the mc is op but later on it’s shown up.

Anyways, I almost caught up with the mtl on this site but I stopped reading temporarily, mainly because I’ve been losing interest. It kinda feels a little dragged out. But this is still a very good romance and slice of life novel with nice family moments.

Its all dark and twisted at the start but it gets better. Kinda wholesome actually. It's like a test or a screening to see who'd stay around to actually read the good parts.

I only read up to chapter 80+.

If you've checked the Events there is R+pe and reverse r+pe. There's no justifying this but to give you context they did that because they're enemies by blood. Dragon vs Human. And what do you get when you make a "love" story of two different races who wants to kill each other? Well you get this novel.

The early chapters might be a bit rough or off putting for some others. But it gets better along the way I promise that!

It's a story of pride, care, love, family, and some twisted (but wholesome) relationships of the couple. How will the human mc live with his dragon wife and children while living in a dragon civilization that's mortal enemies with the human race? The couple considers holding hands and kissing very lewd but has done all there is in the bed?

Anyway I'd give it a 8/10. I'm still reading it and hopefully it adds more depth and story to it.

When reading I was wondering if some parts got abruptly cut off since there'd be dialogues missing with context. Kinda like how pasting to translate in chatgpt removes a lot of content. So I checked with the machine translation and my suspicions were right. In the machine translation there are more details and lines of dialogue. Ironic that the MTL has more "life".
