Chapter 2851: The Advance of Abundance

Abundance crawled across the Nightmare Desert, flowing over white dunes like a dark river of flesh while its terrifying maw swallowed the Deathless. The ancient undead quickly recognized the new threat and attempted to destroy the Sacred worm, but the wings of the Shadow Legion's formation prevented them from getting close.

The lesser shades melted under the assault of the skeletal remains of the ancient warriors who had been cursed by Shadow God... but that was what Sunny expected. In this battle, the role of the weaker shades was to be destroyed. Their dogged resistance paved the way for the rest of the legion, allowing it to continue on. Abundance and the Shadow Legion advanced, swiftly moving into the depths of the desert.

Sunny stepped through the shadows and appeared in front of the gargantuan worm, regarding the vast expanse of white sand in front of him. There were countless Deathless there — those far away were still engaged in the eternal battle among themselves, but those who were closer had already switched the target of their malice. Even worse, that awareness seemed to be spreading toward the horizon, with more and more undead turning their empty eye sockets to the distant shape of Abundance.

‘I'll have to cull them.'

There were all kinds of Deathless out there. All of them were strong, but some were horrifically powerful. There were fewer of the latter on the outer edges of the Nightmare Desert, but there were going to be far more of them as Sunny and Nephis drew closer to the Tomb of Ariel.

And as they reached the last stretch of their journey... Sunny did not even want to think about that.

In any case, at the moment, the wings of the formation were protecting Abundance from flanking attacks, while its maw swallowed the Deathless in the front. However, if any of the truly powerful undead appeared in the Sacred worm's path, it could be severely damaged and eventually destroyed.

So, Sunny had to stop them.

He called upon his strongest champions — Saint, Slayer, and Serpent — to move ahead of Abundance and prevent the strongest Deathless from reaching it. He joined them personally, as well, manifesting a heavy quarterstaff out of the shadows.

As the colossal worm devoured the world behind him, Sunny rushed forward to engage the enemy... and to avoid being swallowed by his own Sacred shade, as well. It was a nerve-wracking experience, to battle undead horrors while a giant maw of a godworm was getting closer and closer to him from behind.

...But it was also a little thrilling.

For a short while, Sunny allowed himself to dissolve into the violent song of the battle. Nephis had been right — being able to engage in straightforward combat for the first time in a long while was indeed a privilege.

He moved between the shadows, clashing with the champions of the undead horde in relentless melee. There was no shortage of powerful opponents for him to fight... but for now, at least, he was the strongest, if just barely.

Their martial skill was also unmatched, so he greedily absorbed it through Shadow Dance, feasting on the generous collection of long-forgotten battle styles and techniques for the first time in years.

The Shadow Legion advanced swiftly as a result, even as its wings were suffering heavy casualties. The reason why none of the powerful Deathless had been able to pose a serious threat to Abundance yet, however, was not only the fearsome strength of Sunny and his champions — it was also the Curse.

Now that all seven links of the Curse were in close proximity to each other, the power of its enchantments drastically increased. Sunny had learned how to use his shadowbound relic better over time, as well.

Instead of infecting every enemy around him with the Weakening Curse, he cast it upon the strongest enemies among the Deathless with great precision and flawless timing. Therefore, the full power of the debilitating enchantment descended upon a single creature at the most inopportune time, making the attacks of Sunny and his champions so much more devastating.

‘Good... good, more!’

Sunny revelled in the ferocious dread of the calamitous battle.

As the battle on the ground ravaged the white dunes, another battle was happening in the sky. There, Nephis was the sole target of countless Deathless, evading their deadly attacks and setting countless projectiles aflame to preserve her body.

Because of it, it seemed as if the sky was on fire, white flames raining down upon the earth.

Her main goal was to draw the attention of the undead warriors and prevent too many of them from attacking the Shadow Legion, but from time to time, she unleashed rays of roaring white flames upon the white dunes, sowing destruction and annihilation among the Deathless.

The combination of her incredible aerial mobility, her Aspect, her mastery of Shaping and knowledge of the Names, the vastness of her Domain, and of the ingenious enchantments of the Blessing created a truly devastating foe for the undead captives of the Nightmare Desert.

For a while, their strategy worked, and they moved deeper and deeper into the sea of dunes.

There was one problem, though... Abundance was able to crawl forward with such speed because it simply swallowed the Deathless instead of battling them. That meant that the undead horrors of the desert were still whole and undamaged, trapped in the Sacred worm's limitless belly.

And that meant that while Sunny and his champions prevented the strongest Deathless from damaging Abundance, they could not protect the gargantuan creature from being damaged from within.

The Deathless Abundance swallowed kept mangling it from the inside, and despite the boundless ocean of vitality the Sacred shade possessed, it gradually slowed down, coming close to being vanquished.

It was not vanquished, though.

Because just then, Nephis unleashed a wave of celestial fire that incinerated the javelins flaying at her and dove down.

Landing on the back of Abundance, she kneeled and placed her hand on the Sacred worm's black hide.

And a moment later, the entirety of the titanic creature ignited with a soft white radiance.

Abundance was not a part of Neph's Domain, which meant that she could not heal it from a distance. But nothing prevented her from healing it directly.

So, all the damage dealt to Abundance from within was gradually being healed by the soothing white flames.

Some distance away from the colossal worm, Sunny smiled darkly.

‘Nothing beats a good healer.'

The night deepend as the battle raged on. Looking ahead, he hesitated briefly.

Was he deceiving himself, or did the distant silhouette of the Tomb of Ariel really draw a little closer?

So what happens when he summons back abudance in his soul while they will be in his belly would they remain inside his belly continiously destroying abudance even he is in sunny's soul sea or they would sent back to nightmare desert or curse of shadow god deminishes or sunny would get deathless shade that would be hella op...

When shadow god took their shadows, would it be in the same way it worked in the eternal city? Are they all stashed somewhere or can the shadow god literally just, despawn it?

In the eternal city the daemon (forgot their name I’ll check later) used complicated sorcery to separate their shadows, as they have no authority over shadows. In eurys‘ case, he simply no longer has a shadow and cannot die. I would assume it’s the same for the deathless. Their shadows no longer exist

I just realized that sunny has a corrupted cursed rank of chain breaker shadow when he one shot a saint while he was awakened rank. A cursed should be same rank as his sacred shades no?

Why doesn't he use that instead of hitching a ride on Nemphis' chain breaker?

If the actual chain breaker breaks it'll cost repairs but if the shade chain breaker is destroyed it can auto repair in his domain.

Is it so long ago that maybe G3 forgot about it?

He did not obtain Chain Breaker for killing para-sited Solvane, he got Transcendent Armour Undying Chain for slaying her and the plant parasite.
Cassie and the Fire Keepers at that time repaired the remains of the crashed ship where solvane was and that ship is the Chain Breaker(which sunny named).

Even tho I'm the man who doesn't remember much of his life yet I can say with absolute certainty that in 2nd nightmare the cursed chain breaker you speak of was destroyed not any longer after he killed solvane with wooden knife(I think or was it ivory)!

DAWG IS IT JUST ME OR COULD SUPREME CASSIE SOLO THE NARUTO VERSE ACTING CAREFULLY😭😭
    Hear me out:

Firstly, I’d like to point out that I def am a Naruto larper, so feel free to prove me wrong.

    Intro
Supreme Cassie’s authority is def over memories and the mind ect.- and it definitely does discuss in flashbacks how she can tank corrupted knowledge to an extent, can see the possible futures and pasts that happened in different realities, and knows the entire story of existence from start to end, and is now more idea than flesh -just like asterion, and really can’t be killed normally, though she does have a physical vessel.

    Scaling
Firstly, yes I know prolly every person in the Naruto verse prolly MASSIVELY outscales her in strength, speed, and specific hacks by light years. -But does that really matter when your opponent is something that is more idea than flesh? And speaking of scaling anyways- I think there is a conversation to be had about the will of a supreme in relation to power, speed, defense, ect. I personally consider all supremes to be reality warpers, enforcing their “will” on the world to a certain extent. The stronger your “will” the more reality bends to your rules and desires; for example, just a few chapters ago, it talked about how the bones of the deathless were too tough for him to break, but he willed them to break, so they did. I know it’s not a solid premise, but I definitely would consider that having a strong enough will not just equals stats, but makes them irrelevant if the opponent can’t also warp reality. -ignore this though because Cassie doesn’t even really need physical strength to win.

    Hax
Now this is were the main argument comes into play. I very much do NOT know all the main hax of some or even most of the most deadly characters in Naruto-but I do know the general power system of hand signs, chakra, and special eyes/phisical traits/tailed beasts-ect. Obviously, the most famous and lethal hacks known from the Naruto verse are their eyes-the sharingan or whatever the evolved form of that is called. But essentially it allows for extreme mental manipulation to an incredible extent. Hilariously enough Cassie is blind, and sees through the eyes of her enemies-her eyes only being the gateway to her aspects true power. -as it did state previously I think during the part where they were curing aster thralls, it did state that she could easily wipe someone’s mind clean and implant whatever memories she wanted, which also could easily be a win con for her. I think her 2 final ‘win cons’ in a sense, is one, spreading the corrupted knowledge through direct memory, -not even destroying their brain ect just turning them into monsters- and 2 just making them remember all of existence overloading their brains (basically inf void).

Yeah I def got lazy towards the end, but yeah my argument does rely on the premise that she doesn’t actually need a phyisical vessel because their is prolly way too many attacks that could take her out in the verse.

lol thats it id love to yap with smb as to why im wrong or if they agree.

P.S-maybe mordret could solo too his eyes are lit reflections😭✌🏾

Bruh, at this point, all the Supremes could destroy the Naruto universe lol. Even Nephis. Sunny and its shadow attack, Asterion, let's not even talk about it. It's only with the god Otsutsuki that it's going to be a problem. But hey, the Supreme Ones can just wipe out all of Naruto's villages.

Yeah Cassie pretty much beats everyone in Naruto when we see the full scale of her as a Supreme. But basically every Supreme would win against the top tiers in Naruto which pains me to admit

Of course she can. Any Supreme is simply too strong. We have the example of Anvil and Ki Song, who broke the bones of that huge skeleton. But because of all this manipulation of will, I can't say how strong those bones are. Let's just assume that those bones are stronger than any stone. As far as I know, Naruto regularly breaks stone in recent battles, so we can assume that their physical capabilities are similar. In any case, any Supreme would be in the top 10-5% in physical strength in Naruto. And then there is Will, the ability to literally change reality to suit one's needs. You can reread Sunny's battle with Anvil to understand how much of an advantage Will gives. What about Cassia? Her abilities are divided into two types: information gathering and memory distortion. Both are simply incredible in the conditions of an alien, unknown world. Especially when this world has no normal way of defending itself. She would have learned almost all the information about Naruto's world in a month. Did someone notice a strange girl? Does someone want to join the battle? Just erase their memory lol. 90% of ninja simply don't have the ability to resist genjutsu, much less a genjutsu that has never existed in this world. Got a strong opponent? Well, use the power of the Supreme One and Future Sight to find a way to escape, and call for help through your marks. Maybe Cassie really will become a "memory" like Asterion. Then she won't have to worry about destroying her body at all. I dare say that erasing the memories of thousands of unremarkable people is a feat on par with the Eternal Tsukuyomi.

Probably the kingdom of the shadow god, with the shadow lantern. If he throw them out there, the kingdom should end them. Will take a lot of time, like Eurys.

There is no impediment to them not to enter the kingdom of shadows, as Eurys is already there. It might not work because the curse of the god shadow did not allow them to pass through the shadow lantern but walking through the underworld.

Maybe there is a place without essence storms where they are bound. If their shadows were fighting then they would probably devour each other and some skeletons would no longer get up.

The only thing I can imagine is Shadow God has a place like in Eternal City where their shadows just stand and Essence Storm dont go near.

If they were all in the Shadow Realm, then all of the Deathless would die. Remember in Eternal City, the vessels of FOK started dying when Sunny sucked their Shadows into the Shadow Realm through the lantern. Then he went in there to kill all their Shadows to make them part of his domain, at the same time Nightmare and Mimic became stronger also. Their Shadows are probably hidden somewhere to ensure they continue the cycle of the battle

It seems that way but since the Shadow God cursed them he could bind them for example near the center of Shadow Realm.

We dont know what is the situation near the center only that there is Void Gate. Maybe in the center of Shadow Realm there are no Essence Storms that would explain why every shadow goes there from borders where they enter.

My crackpot theory is that Shadow God somehow turned their shadows into the butterflies in ToA or perhaps they got turned into those butterflies by Ariel or another Daemon at a later point. Countless at minimum Supreme strength beings have their shadows stripped and placed in a supposed unreachable pyramid. Inside this same pyramid where there also happens to be countless butterflies of (I think) Supreme level power if I remember correctly contained within? Not to mention the River of Time that flows inside the ToA that probably keeps the curse Shadow God placed from crumbling due to time. This also explains why the army is stuck fighting in a segment of the Doom War for the rest of eternity. I’m probably wrong or misremembering some stuff but it seems to be too coincidental and with the way I’ve noticed G3 writes he recently reminded us of the butterflies but didn’t focus too heavily on them. This leads me to believe G3 is foreshadowing their connection to the curse of Shadow God on these warring armies.

Ur right about everything factual. The theory is interesting but the problem I have is sunny would have either recognized the butterfly that battled daerion as a shadow or there would have been a tell in some way. From what I remember of the butterflies abilities, it had scales that could hypnotize so I don't remember if he ever looked at it to check it's cores like he has for other abominations. If he did and it had normal soul cores they're probably not shadows

Maybe the Butterflies are part of blood or other organs of the Stone Titan, as there are millions of these Great Creatures in the inner space of TOA. Ariel could have given them life energy or something to create the soul cores of these creatures.
I say this cause, a small part of the Stone Titan became Goliath. Ariel could have done something similar
