Afterwords

Hello everyone, I am Yi Weixie.

As you can all see, the third part of "Restricted Fantasy Invasion", or rather, "Love Purification Protocol", has now come to an end.

Following the usual practice, I will first talk about the creative process behind this volume, followed by a brief preview of the next one.

Although the main plot of each volume revolves around a single female lead, focusing on her specific "issues" often leads to an amusing phenomenon:

Whichever female lead's volume it is, she ends up suffering setbacks, while the relationships with the other female leads progress rapidly.

I cannot really say this was inevitable, because essentially, apart from the second volume, the other volumes were not supposed to turn out this way.

According to my original design, aside from the second volume where I designated An Le as the boss, or the traditional antagonist.

In the remaining volumes, Yan Huan and the respective female lead were supposed to fight a common enemy together, thereby resolving the Modifier or their own psychological issues.

However, the original enemy of this volume, Luciana, was scrapped. This forced a change in the outline, making the antagonist Sakuramiya Hitomi, or rather Perfect Sakuranomiya, just like in the second volume, which caused this issue.

Although I often joke that the enemy should be the wife, when the female lead is the source of the conflicts and problems, it is difficult to make significant romantic progress with her before those issues are resolved.

Therefore, this problem did not exist in the prologue and the first volume:

Because whether it was Bai Yi or Spencer, they were fighting against a unified antagonist, such as the domination of a mother or the formless evil within the school.

Although there was also some conflict with Yan Huan, generally speaking, that opposition only happened in the early stages.

As they understood each other better and their feelings progressed, they naturally came together and cooperated, leading to swift progress.

This is also why I had to emphasize through Myau-chan from the very beginning:

The enemy is not the Host, but the Modifier.

As of now, I can only use the beginning of the next volume to fill in the missing persona developments and relationship progress caused by this change in the outline.

However, sometimes, no matter what choice you make, you might end up regretting it.

After all, I cannot guarantee that sticking to the original outline and making Luciana the boss would have yielded better results.

Perhaps doing that would have led to even more significant problems.

Regardless, although the outline changed, the theme I wanted to express concerning Sakuramiya Hitomi was not distorted.

Just like the theme of truth and falsehood in Spencer's volume, and love and desire in An Le's volume.

I simply wanted to convey the theme of good and bad, nothing more.

Pursuing the ultimate good and striving to become better is indeed commendable, but one must also understand that the climb is arduous, and there will always be moments of exhaustion.

Embrace the imperfections in your lover and yourself, and recognize the areas where both of you are already good enough.

Be kind to your lover, and be kind to yourself who loves them.

It is fine. The beginning of the next volume will feature many plot points to flesh out Sakuramiya Hitomi's persona beyond just being perfect.

Moreover, the outlines for the next two volumes have not changed much. The antagonist will no longer strictly be the female lead herself, but something else, so things will be quite different.

At the same time, you all might have noticed that I made some slight adjustments to the character personas in this volume, just as I promised at the end of the previous one.

In a novel, as the word count and plot grow, there will always come a time when you run out of things to write about.

Especially in an urban daily life story like this, it inevitably suffers the disadvantages of losing its sense of novelty.

Therefore, in this volume, I strove to update each character's persona, making them more vivid while introducing more interesting new content.

For example, Ye Shiyu's claim to turn over a new leaf, Bai Yi's image as a pure university student, and the succubus An Le.

I will continue this trend in the next volume.

Without breaking character, every character's image will undergo further changes, and there will be some very interesting scenes.

I understand that this is just a drop in the bucket, and it cannot be fundamentally resolved until this book concludes and a new one begins.

So, I might weave in some daily life moments to balance out the tense plot, but overall, the pacing in the next two volumes will speed up, aiming for a smooth landing and an early conclusion.

And clearly, the story in the next volume will revolve around Ye Shiyu.

Now that he has danced in front of the entire school, all the disguises Yan Huan previously maintained have become completely ineffective.

The capture persona he constructed and the mask he wore to resolve the Modifier will be ruthlessly torn away, plunging him into the deep end of truly dealing with the Modifiers.

Unlike the foolish Spencer, or An Le and Sakuramiya Hitomi who had high foundational affection and only engaged in a minor scuffle.

The difficulty of resolving the issues with Ye Shiyu and Bai Yi will be increasingly higher.

Furthermore, they will genuinely trigger a Battle Defeat CG when things go wrong.

Next to arrive on the battlefield will be the terrifying Hypnosis Master, Ye Shiyu.

On the eve of their upcoming summer internship together, she has already caught a glimpse that the sworn younger brother she likes is actually a bad boy skilled in deception.

It seems she will have no choice but to strike hard.

In the next volume, Yan Huan will encounter an unprecedented crisis during his internship in the AI department.

At the same time, numerous different Battle Defeat CGs will emerge one after another, like setting off fireworks.

Of course, before the great terror descends, let us first have a little dessert and some appetizers.

For instance, since Sakuramiya Hitomi inherited all of Sakuramiya's memories, she naturally learned about the Modifier, as well as the intimate relationship that occurred between Yan Huan and An Le.

Following that is Bai Yi, who was similarly set off by the High Table Dinner dance. She has already awoken from her illusion of "Yan Huan loves me and I love Yan Huan".

Alright, that is everything I wanted to tell you all at the end of this volume.

I will take a day off today to organize the outline for the next volume.

Tomorrow, we will enter the next volume, the story concerning Ye Shiyu.
