Chapter 516: Please Kill Me (1)

‘He’s probably fine, right?’

Kim Hyun-Sung was moving while biting his lips. He had to have realized that he had made a mistake because his expression turned grim. However, he continued talking to me. I was sure that he had no other choice because he probably thought that this was the best method. Of course, I continued reacting to him.

He kept on calling my name out desperately, and his voice broke my heart.

“Mr. Ki-Young, it’s me!” Kim Hyun-Sung exclaimed.

‘I know, man…’

“Please open your eyes…” he begged.

‘They’re open.’

“Can you hear my voice?” he asked.

‘I can hear you clearly.’

Rather than swinging his sword, it seemed like he was thinking that delivering his voice to Light Ki-Young was more important. He had to have thought that making me come back to my senses somehow was the top priority because he continued crying out with that sad and desperate voice of his.

He was certain that his desperate cries were making me grab my head. I knew my plan was going to be somewhat effective, but it was more effective than I thought.

‘That’s why you ended up in that position in your past life, man.’

There was a saying about how a third party couldn’t change a person’s nature. Seeing Kim Hyun-Sung’s reaction made me understand why the saying existed in the first place.

He seemed like he didn’t care about his body at all. While watching him trying his best to get me to return to my original self, I was able to deduce more information about what the regressor’s past life was like.

It wasn’t really that hard to deduce because it seemed like he had decided to abandon his safety. He had to be more worried about my head rather than his leg because he continued looking at me while dodging and blocking Dialugia and the skeletons’ attacks.

I winced and grabbed my head once more as if I were in pain, and I heard Kim Hyun-Sung yelling at me once again. His reaction made me realize that this was the perfect time for the masked half of my body to reach out to him. Of course, I made sure that Kim Hyun-Sung wouldn’t be able to reach me by giving orders to Dialugia at the same time.

He was trying his best, but Diaugia was doing better than I thought.

‘She’s pretty strong.’

I felt stupid for forgetting the fact that out of the Legendary-rank beings, she was a high-ranked Legendary. Of course, the biggest issue was the sea of skeletons surrounding him. However, he also couldn’t afford to ignore Dialugia’s Plague Breath.

‘Moreover…’

Kim Hyun-Sung had to have probably realized that there were ghost plagues hiding in the wave of skeletons, so he had to be extra careful. I was sure he felt annoyed and frustrated by all the things I had created for him on this battlefield.

‘I have to exhaust him.’

Otherwise, my one-on-one battle against Kim Hyun-Sung couldn’t proceed. If he were in his best condition, I would have made sure to stay as far away as I could from him, but he wasn’t at his peak right now. Lee Ji-Hye’s mismanagement exhausted him, and he was covered in light injuries. He was just in a fierce battle for a few hours on the battlefield, so it would be strange if he wasn’t tired. In addition…

‘Is his leg okay?’

He also couldn’t move his leg properly.

The ghost plague that penetrated him seemed like it was making his leg feel as heavy as lead, and it wasn’t moving according to his wishes anymore. He was suppressing it as much as he could using his mana, but he would soon lose control of his leg.

His movement was being restricted little by little, and rather than dodging while saving his mana, he started swinging his sword frequently. Basically, the number of attacks he couldn’t dodge had increased, and his change in attitude naturally changed the battle.

Boooooooom!!!

Craaaaaack!!!

The wave of skeletons would split into two whenever Kim Hyun-Sung swung his sword, and he was also keeping an eye out for Dialugia’s Breaths. The ruined city was starting to change, and I couldn’t help but bite my lips.

Boooooom!!!

There was an explosion as a mountain of large skeletons flew into the air again. The monster’s numerous gigantic arms split in half at the same time, and I was actually struggling to keep up with the number of destroyed skeletons.

Kim Hyun-Sung was so overwhelmingly powerful that I probably would have retired at least ten times by now if it hadn’t been for Belial’s mana. However, I couldn’t deny the fact he was creating an unrealistic sight.

I could already deduce the audience members’ feelings while they were watching this scene.

I surreptitiously glanced at the audience members, and I saw them looking at us in a daze. They seemed to have forgotten that they were in the middle of fighting the demons outside.

“No… way…”

“Is this really a battle between humans…? Is he really… human…?”

“What in the world…?”

I could understand their feelings. After all, it simply didn’t make sense that an entire city would be devastated by a fight between two human beings—a man who had covered at least half of the city in a tidal wave of corrupted skeletons while riding on a corrupted dragon and a swordsman who was strong enough to cut through or deflect all attacks.

Perhaps it was because Kim Hyun-Sung was covered in a faint light, but I was sure that everyone could easily deduce who was standing on the side of the light between the two of us.

‘Yeah, nice. You’re doing great!’

Obviously, the audience members became more focused on our fight. My masked side continued extending his hand out as if he was still resisting, and it was important to show Kim Hyun-Sung that I could kill him quite easily if Light Ki-Young wasn’t resisting.

I snapped my fingers again, and Rimoura’s tentacles started flying toward him. I was suppressing him while showing him that Doom Ki-Young’s Phase One was just a warm-up.

“This is fun. Very fun. Hahaha!” It was a cheesy line, but saying lines like this once in a while would keep the audience enthralled.

Our lovely regressor had encountered Rimoura’s tentacles before, so he looked a bit wary against them, but those tentacles weren’t that strong. I was simply using them as a utility skill. There were many tentacles, and they looked quite strong on the outside.

‘This is so awesome.’

Imagine many tentacles the size of a house swinging around. The tentacles weren’t that strong, but they were so huge that they were basically weapons of mass destruction.

I was sure that the audience members were convinced that they were dangerous, and the way our lovely regressor sliced his way out of the tentacles in a stylish manner made the entire scene look a bit unreal.

Many of the audience members had abilities beyond human comprehension, but I was sure that even they couldn’t comprehend this scene.

Craaaaaaaack!!!

Booooooooooom!!!

“Crazy…”

- Rooooooooooooar!!!

Craaaaack!!!

Hahahaha!

“What in the world…”

“Am I… dreaming right now?”

“Oh god…!”

“Oh Benigoa…!”

Boooooooooooom!!!

Kim Hyun-Sung moved even faster, as if he was responding to the explosions. He didn’t stop talking because his top priority was to bring me back from the abyss.

“Can you hear my voice? Mr. Ki-Young. Please… if you can hear me… answer me. Please…!” Kim Hyun-Sung begged.

Of course, I could hear his voice, but I didn’t answer.

“Mr. Ki-Young, please… answer me,” he said.

‘Ha… this guy…’

“You said… you’d be waiting for me. Please open your eyes. I know you can overcome this. I believe that you won’t give in and that you’re still there… I believe it,” he continued.

“...”

“I won’t give up either, no matter what. Please… please don’t give up. You helped me realize that I’m not alone. You’re not alone as well. Everyone is fighting for you, Mr. Ki-Young…” he continued.

“Hyung-nim, hyung-nim! Open your eyes. Please open your eyes!” Park Deok-Gu begged.

‘Park Deok-Gu, that pig…’

“When you told me that if you can do it, I can do it better, I know you weren’t lying when you said it, and I know that very well. Hyung-nim… kgh… I only became strong because of you. You paved the way for my survival in the tutorial dungeon,” he continued.

“...”

“I already know that you haven’t completely fallen for the demons. This younger brother of yours already knows. I know that you’re still fighting and that you’re going to overcome all this soon!” he added.

“...”

“Lee Ki-Young, you bastard! Come to your senses, you scum! Do you really want to see this place disappear from the face of the earth?!”

‘Even Hee-Ra noona is yelling at me…’

“You’re the one who suggested that we live a good life. If you’re a man, then snap out of it!” she added.

‘Man, this is really making me cringe, but it’s not bad.’

I looked around excitedly at the people fighting the demons, and they seemed to have realized what Kim Hyun-Sung was trying to do because they looked at me. The Guild Members of the Blue Guild—including the exhausted Elena and Sun Hee-Young—raised their voices.

Those who had even the slightest connection to me cried out to me while crying.

The sight was so touching that I had to give them fan service by acting like I was in excruciating pain.

“Damn it! Damn it…! Damn it all…!” I screamed.

Kim Hyun-Sung definitely felt like it was his chance because he called out my name and said, “Everyone… is waiting for you. Everyone is…”

I wasn’t sure when he arrived in front of me, but he was standing there with a smile. The skeletons and tentacles had stopped moving, and the cacophony of noises was replaced by silence.

“You held my hand. Now, it’s my turn. Please… open… your eyes,” he said cautiously.

“...”

“There are still many things I want to talk to you about, and there are still many things I want to do with you. We still have to go on that picnic with our guild members, and we still have to visit the Mirror Lake that Miss Ha-Yan always wanted to visit… This time, we’re going to visit it,” he suggested.

Kim Hyun-Sung reached out with his hand, and he smiled at me as he stood there with his injured body. He seemed certain that I could hear his voice, but he became filled with despair when he saw my face.

Tears were rolling down the uncovered side of my face…

‘Nice.’

I had been wanting to say this line…

“Please… kill… me.”

Kim Hyun-Sung was at a loss for words.

‘I killed it!’
