The square suddenly fell silent!
Hart, the little fatty, was in a daze as he watched Lance flying out backward. Then, he looked at Meng Lei, who was standing in front of him. His mung bean-like eyes were full of disbelief as he stammered, "H-how did that happen?"
Whoosh!
This attracted the attention of everyone else in the square, too. The few teachers in charge of the new students' assessment frowned one after another, a look of displeasure coming over their faces.
"What's going on over there?"
"Who's so gutsy?"
"They actually dare to fight and brawl in Saint Dragon Square!"
"Do they want to be kicked out of school?"
"What's going on? Who's the one that struck just now?"
Lance spat out the blood in his mouth. He glared furiously at Meng Lei, as though flames were bursting forth from his eyes. He shouted, "You lowly cheap trash! How dare you ambush me?! I'm going to kill you!"
All the green scales on his body stood on end. A terrifying, cold, and sinister aura suddenly erupted from him—he was about to go on a rampage!
"Oh no! That guy's become serious!"
The little fatty's expression changed, and he said, "Although that bastard isn't of age yet, his body is already comparable to a Third-Grade Warrior's. Old bro, discretion is the better part of valor. How about we retreat for now?!"
Third-Grade Warrior?
A hint of surprise flashed across Meng Lei's eyes. This Dragon Person named Lance should be pretty young, and about the same age as an elementary school student on Earth!
He was just a mere elementary school student, yet his body was already comparable to a Third-Grade Warrior's. A Dragon Person's talent was truly impressive. The middle-aged teacher made a casual grabbing motion, and wisps of green air appeared out of nowhere. They transformed into two big green snakes and wound around Lance's legs. Hindered all of a sudden, Lance landed onto the floor with a crash and fell flat on his face!

"Haha, to think that you'd end up like this today! I'm going to die of laughter!"
Upon seeing what had happened, the little fatty was bent over in stitches at once!
"You bastard!"
Lance had a sturdy physique, so this little collision hadn't actually hurt him at all. He struggled to his feet and glared at the middle-aged teacher. He snapped, "Who are you? Why are you stopping me?!"
"Hmph! This is an important place in the school. How can you be allowed to behave so atrociously here?" The middle-aged teacher had a somber look on his face as he said, "Where's the disciplinary team? Throw him out of the academy!"
Throw him out of the academy?
Oh no!
Lance had heard of how those who were thrown out of the academy had turned out in the end. Right away, his expression changed drastically, and he hastily said, "No! Don't! I'm a new student that has only just arrived here to report. I have the academy badge! You can't chase me away!"
"A new student? Hmph!"
The middle-aged teacher's gaze swept across the academy badge at his chest, and his expression eased up slightly. He replied, "Fine, on account of you being a new student, I'll spare you this once for the time being. If you dare to create any more trouble, whether you're a prince or nobility, you'll be expelled all the same!"
"Yes, yes!"
Perspiration broke out on Lance's forehead, and he hastily nodded.
"And you!"
The middle-aged teacher turned and glared viciously at Meng Lei. He said, "Haven't you heard of the academy's rules? Students who get into a fight or brawl in private will be expelled immediately and thrown out of the academy once discovered! Getting into a fight with a classmate the moment you enter the school… Do you want to be expelled?!"
"Not at all, not at all!"
Meng Lei lowered his head and wussed out!
"Hmph! As long as that's not the case! Remember, this will only happen just this once!"
The middle-aged teacher let out a loud snort, looking quite as if he were exasperated at the students' failure to live up to expectations. He said, "Just how many people have made every effort to enter the academy, only to meet with failure? And yet you got into a fight the moment you entered?"
"Sir, I've erred!"
"Hmph!" The middle-aged teacher gave a cold snort and returned to the assessment site. Then, he shouted, "Next!"
Meng Lei turned, took a look around, and realized that there was no longer anyone in front of him—it was his turn to be assessed!
"Let him take the assessment!"
The middle-aged teacher glared at Meng Lei and then instructed the teacher in charge of the assessment beside him.
"Yes, Department Head!" replied the assessment teacher.
Then, he began Meng Lei's assessment!
At this point, Hart, the little fatty, also walked over and started to observe enthusiastically. He was extremely curious about Meng Lei right now.
The fact that Meng Lei had been able to send Lance flying with a punch meant that his body was also rather strong, too!

Something seemed to occur to the middle-aged teacher. He grabbed the recruitment list on the table and began to scan through it. The first line written on the name list was:
'Meng Lei, 15 years old. Superior-Grade Thunder-Element, 100 times that of his peers. Human.'
"You're Meng Lei?"
The middle-aged teacher lifted his head and looked at Meng Lei in great astonishment.
"Yes, that's me!"
Meng Lei nodded.
"Not bad, sonny! So you're the one!"
The middle-aged teacher, who was in disbelief, urged, "Hurry! Have your spiritual power assessed, too!"
Meng Lei did as told and got his spiritual power assessed. Just like before, his spiritual power was 100 times that of his peers. Upon seeing the results, the middle-aged teacher exhaled a long breath of air and finally became certain of his identity. "Why did you get into a fight the moment you entered the academy when you have such great talent?" asked the middle-aged teacher testily.
"I…"
"What's there to 'I' about? Aren't you afraid of being thrown out of the academy?"
With his finger pointed right at Meng Lei's nose, the middle-aged teacher started to berate him fiercely, "What were you going to do if you were really expelled? You'd have a lot to cry over if that really happened!"
"Cough, it won't go to that extent. At the worst, I'll just go to Douglas Magic Academy!" mumbled Meng Lei softly with a sneaky laugh.
"Uhh…"
The middle-aged teacher was actually rendered speechless. He didn't quite know what he should say to that. Indeed, even if there was no place for him here, he would naturally be able to find a place for himself somewhere out there. For someone with such exceptional talent like Meng Lei, even if he should lose his place in Fire Dragon Magic Academy, he could totally still go to other magic academies. "That's the reason for you getting into a fight?"
The middle-aged teacher choked rather badly at his response. He said testily, "You'd better be more well-behaved in the future. The academy isn't a place where you can act willfully and make trouble. Understand?"
