Chapter 250: Advanced Enhancement Card

Qin Ziwen glanced at the surroundings and immediately recognized this working leopard.

Although the fight between the Crowned Eagle and the Monkey-Eating Eagle was fierce, it hadn't moved far.

Because the Crowned Eagle was extremely fast, so fast that the Monkey-Eating Eagle couldn't fly far before being caught up.

So this area was still within the vicinity of the previous residential complex.

"Well, if it isn't the little leopard," Qin Ziwen casually clicked his tongue twice.

To his surprise, the Golden Leopard in front of him hesitated for a moment and then actually walked over.

"You're not afraid of me?" Qin Ziwen was somewhat taken aback.

The Golden Leopard stopped about two meters away from the man and the bird. It looked up at the Crowned Eagle, a bit fearful.

It recognized this Monkey-Eating Eagle; it was a local tyrant of the surrounding mountains, usually committing all sorts of misdeeds and acting arrogantly.

Most animals were on its menu.

And now the corpse of this Monkey-Eating Eagle was lying right in front of it.

So the Golden Leopard acted very submissively. It lay down, squinted its eyes, and let out a soft whimper, "Mew."

"Alright, I won't bully you. Come here and let me pet you. If you behave well, this thing is yours," Qin Ziwen pointed at the Monkey-Eating Eagle corpse beneath him. This thing looked big, but in reality, most of it was feathers and bones, with not much meat.

Whether the Golden Leopard understood or not, when Qin Ziwen beckoned, it first glanced warily at the Crowned Eagle, and then actually walked over.

Qin Ziwen placed his hand on its head.

With his current physical constitution, even if this leopard suddenly turned ferocious, he could directly pin it to the ground.

This was the confidence brought by the increase in his own strength, different from the elevation of status and position. It stemmed from deep within, a confidence in his own power.

If it were before, facing a wild Golden Leopard, he would never be so bold.

His palm rubbed against the other's head; the texture felt like a somewhat rough, stiff towel.

The fur on top of this Golden Leopard's head probably hadn't been groomed much.

When his fingers scratched its head, the Golden Leopard instinctively squinted its eyes into two narrow slits, its whiskers trembling slightly, its entire face relaxing.

Later, it even involuntarily started purring in its throat.

"Hahahaha, good leopard."

After gently patting its head and satisfying the feeling of petting a leopard, Qin Ziwen stood up. "Alright, we're leaving."

After saying that, he jumped onto the Crowned Eagle's back and flew away on the eagle.

The Golden Leopard, which had been enjoying itself and had even crouched down on the ground, opened its eyes in confusion, lifted its head to look at the retreating figure in the sky. Why did the human leave so suddenly?

Qin Ziwen's petting had just given it an unprecedented experience.

Different from the feeling of using its claws to scratch an itch when its body was sore or itchy, this sensation was hard to describe in words.

"Roar~"

It let out a dissatisfied cry. The Golden Leopard slowly walked up to the Monkey-Eating Eagle, just about to enjoy the feast the human had left for it.

Suddenly, a sound came from the nearby bushes.

The Golden Leopard turned its head and saw a large pack of brownish-gray wild wolves emerging from the grass.

These wild wolves surrounded it but didn't attack. They just closed in from all sides.

The Golden Leopard let out a whine and resentfully climbed up a tree.

It looked down at the food on the ground, feeling like crying but having no tears.

"Mew~" It couldn't help but whimper again, then looked up at the sky.

But unfortunately, the human and the Crowned Eagle had already flown far away.

......

Arriving in front of the Mountain Cave, returning to the old place.

Facing the Crowned Eagle's approach, the bats inside the cave let out uneasy cries.

Qin Ziwen frowned. The number of these bats was somewhat large.

If they all swarmed out at once, it would indeed be a bit troublesome.

Fortunately, they weren't very brave. As long as the Crowned Eagle didn't get too close, although they made a commotion, they didn't take any other action.

Qin Ziwen stood on tiptoe and peered into the depths of the cave.

In the pitch-black depths of the cave, there was a conspicuous spot of green.

Qin Ziwen was very familiar with green cards; this color was exactly that of an Enhancement Card.

It seemed that even without anyone around, this Altar would still refresh cards.

After instructing the Crowned Eagle, Qin Ziwen walked towards the interior of the cave.

Not long after, he arrived before the Altar deep inside. A dark green card floated above the Altar.

Compared to the pure green of an ordinary Enhancement Card, the back of this dark green card had more complex patterns.

He let out a light "Huh." This didn't seem to be an ordinary Enhancement Card.

He picked up the card.

[Advanced Enhancement Card]: This card is a one-time use card. After use, it can increase a superhuman unit's standard physical constitution by 1 star level, while simultaneously increasing the level of a certain ability by 1.

Compared to an ordinary Enhancement Card, this Advanced Enhancement Card had one less restriction and was not limited to humans and animals.

In other words, this Advanced Enhancement Card was universal for both humans and animals.

He stored the card away.

Qin Ziwen retraced his steps back.

Above in the cave, the bats let out piercing cries.

Suddenly, one of the bats spread its wings and flew towards him!

This action was like pushing over the first domino. The bats in the cave instantly erupted into chaos!

"Squeak squeak!"

Countless bats spread their wings, densely swarming and flying in all directions.

Qin Ziwen's heart tightened. Subconsciously, he took off his jacket to cover his head and then sprinted with all his might towards the cave exit.

While running, he felt something hit his back.

He paid it no mind. At this moment, his goal was only one: the cave entrance.

At the cave mouth, the Crowned Eagle's loud cry came through.

It spread its wings and charged directly into the cave, knocking aside a large number of bats along the way.

Seeing the Crowned Eagle's figure, Qin Ziwen leaped up, grabbed the eagle's ankle. Then it spun once within the cave before flying back out towards the cave entrance.

The surroundings transitioned from dark to bright.

After flying out of the cave, fresh air rushed in.

Qin Ziwen took several breaths.

He shook his head.

The bats behind him didn't give chase. They were still flying around chaotically inside the cave.

Qin Ziwen looked back, a trace of gloom flashing in his eyes.

After landing on the ground, he checked his body. Qin Ziwen found he was lucky and wasn't really injured. Only the back of his hand had been scratched by a bat, leaving a small wound.

Although these bats had erupted into chaos, only a small portion had actually attacked him. Most of the bats were just scurrying around wildly inside the cave.

"Are you hurt?"

Qin Ziwen checked the Crowned Eagle and found its feathers were thick, with no damage to the skin or flesh.

Riding the Crowned Eagle back along the original route, during the journey, Qin Ziwen saw the location of the Monkey-Eating Eagle's corpse.

However, a large pack of brownish-gray wolves was gathered around the Monkey-Eating Eagle's body. The Golden Leopard was nowhere to be seen.

"Got robbed, huh?" Qin Ziwen was momentarily stunned, then found it funny.

It really was a working leopard, only able to eat leftovers.

"Go, down." Qin Ziwen patted the Crowned Eagle's head.

These wolves really had some nerve, daring to steal something he had given away.

The Crowned Eagle understood his intention and descended in altitude.

The wolf pack gathered around the Monkey-Eating Eagle's corpse sensed something. The leading wolf pack leader lifted its head and let out a howl.

The next second, the wolf hidden within the pack was instantly snatched up by the Crowned Eagle and carried up a hundred meters into the sky.

In the sky, the brown wolf, which had never experienced such a height before, clamped its legs together. Urine pattered down from between its legs.

A few drops of pungent, yellowish urine hit the leaves. The Golden Leopard dodged backward a bit. It lifted its head, its dark pupils peering through the gaps in the leaves, staring intently at the human in the sky.
