Chapter 200: A New Type of Card

The back of the Summoning Card resembled a starry sky.

Against a deep blue background were many tiny white starlight points.

The front bore the outline of a Hadrosaur.

Holding the card in his hand, Qin Ziwen understood its usage.

Within the next twelve hours, he could summon a Hadrosaur that would obey his commands.

The summoned Hadrosaur's size and strength would completely match that of the hunted Hadrosaur. This card was a single-use card, similar to a Healing Card.

After use, the card would be destroyed. The summoned Hadrosaur would last for a maximum of twelve hours. Whether it died or the summoning duration expired, the Hadrosaur would vanish.

He stored it away and then looked at the Duplication Card.

The color of the Duplication Card was interesting; it was multicolored, like a lump of kneaded-together modeling clay. There were no patterns on either side, only dizzyingly complex designs.

The card's effect could be easily guessed from its name.

After use, this Duplication Card could permanently transform into any Common-level Building Card.

However, it could only duplicate cards, not buildings.

The last Blank Expansion Card went without saying.

Suddenly, from beneath the water, a dark shadow rapidly approached.

There really were animals at the bottom of this lake, though not very large. The lake wasn't deep, and with the available light, based on experience, he roughly estimated the length of this aquatic creature to be between two and three meters.

Qin Ziwen swiftly swam towards the water's surface. The figure continued to pursue him from behind.

Intense movement sounded from the water flow behind him. Sensing the impact of the water current, Qin Ziwen instinctively curled his legs and stretched out his arms.

At that very moment, darkness fell over his head.

The Crowned Eagle circling in the sky had noticed the thing tailing its master the moment it appeared.

Its thick legs broke through the water's surface, followed immediately by its wings beating violently. The large fish from the water was hauled into the air, its slender tail thrashing wildly.

The Crowned Eagle's claws easily pierced the fish's belly. Blood mixed with lake water sprayed down like rain.

Qin Ziwen scooped up some lake water and wiped his face.

Looking up, the Crowned Eagle dropped the big fish, lowered its claws, and hovered above him. Qin Ziwen grabbed its legs, and the Crowned Eagle carried him back to the shore.

As soon as he landed, he saw Wang Sheng, who had been waiting for a long time. "Mr. Qin, do you think I can join the Qin Alliance?"

Qin Ziwen smiled slightly. "There's no talk of joining or not joining. As long as you're willing, we're all one of our own."

......

The vehicle convoy slowly drove into the residential complex.

The entrance was already packed with a crowd of waiting people.

"Water is here!"

"We finally have water!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, scrambling to surround the Waterwheel, kicking up clouds of dust.

They gathered around the Waterwheel, quickly forming several layers of people.

"Everyone, disperse," Zou Jianghe shouted. "What are you all crowding here for! Can't you see the convoy can't even move?"

He shouted several times before finally managing to disperse the crowd.

Zou Jianghe walked over to the cart and lifted the water cover.

Looking at the clear, clean water inside, Zou Jianghe felt slightly reassured. He asked a nearby tall man, "How are things at the Oasis?"

The Alliance employee responsible for water transport replied, "We were attacked by a wolf pack on our way there, but we drove them off. These are the wolf pelts we skinned."

Zou Jianghe glanced over and noticed his Alliance had the highest number of wolf pelts. The corner of his mouth couldn't help but curl up.

It seemed whoever killed them got to keep them.

The corner of his mouth curled up again.

"Go on."

"Then we reached the Oasis. There are many animals at the Oasis, lots of them bigger than elephants."

"Perfectly normal. It's an Oasis, after all. All the nearby animals go there." Zou Jianghe nodded in understanding.

"Later, Guild Leader Qin led us in surrounding and eliminating the Giant Hyaenodon. Almost none of us got injured." When the team member reached this point, his tone unconsciously carried a hint of admiration.

Zou Jianghe keenly sensed it.

If these Alliance members spend more time at the Oasis, won't they all start wanting to run off to the Qin Alliance?

He then comforted himself. It was just killing a pack of beasts, nothing major. He should trust them.

"Anything else?" Zou Jianghe continued to inquire. His mood was complex now, both hoping for good news and fearing hearing too much of it.

The team member shook his head. "We loaded the water and headed back."

It seemed Qin Ziwen's progress was limited. Zou Jianghe felt somewhat relieved. "What's your name?"

"Guild Leader, I'm Jiang Shan."

"Hmm, keep up the good work."

Suddenly, Zou Jianghe's mind became active. Since the Oasis wasn't that dangerous, maybe he should go there and make a showing himself.

"Let me ask you, are there any Ferocious Beasts at the Oasis? Were you attacked at night?"

"There are two Tarbosauruses active near the Oasis, but we haven't been attacked at night yet."

Hearing this, the thought that had just ignited in Zou Jianghe's mind was instantly extinguished.

Forget it. A wise man does not stand under a wall that might collapse.

......

Upon hearing his subordinate's account and learning there were two Tarbosauruses at the Oasis, Luo Gang's expression grew serious.

"Normally, predators of this level have very large hunting ranges. In this area, it's almost impossible for other members of the same species to exist, unless they are of the opposite sex."

"But Teacher Luo, we saw with our own eyes those two Tarbosauruses confronting each other. One even snarled at the other."

"Describe the scene at that time again."

After listening to the description, Luo Gang frowned, his expression growing increasingly grave.

"If I'm not mistaken, those two Tarbosauruses are likely a male and a female. The one that snarled at the other is probably the female. She is likely pregnant or has already given birth. When she came to hunt, did she exhibit any special behavior? For example, capturing prey to take back?"

The student thought carefully, then shook his head. "It seems not."

"Think more carefully."

The student hurriedly asked his classmates nearby.

The conclusion everyone reached was: no.

Luo Gang said, "Then it's highly probable she has already laid eggs, but they haven't hatched yet. When you go back, tell Guild Leader Qin that this female Tarbosaurus is currently in a nurturing period. Her emotions might be unstable. Try to avoid her hunting range during activities."

"Understood, Guild Leader."

"As for the other Tarbosaurus, it's likely the male. If you plan to hunt a Tarbosaurus, you could consider this angle, try to incite infighting between the two. Of course, the specific situation will depend on your own on-the-spot judgment."

"Understood, Guild Leader. I will relay the message."

"Hmm, are you lacking any supplies? We can prepare more here and send them over when you return. If you're short on manpower, we can also organize more people for reinforcements."

"Guild Leader Qin said when we were returning that the temperature over there is low, so we could bring more quilts and insulating materials. Nothing else is needed for now. Oh, he also said that if there's an emergency at the residential complex, you can contact Jia Liangcai."

Luo Gang looked thoughtful. "Alright, I understand."

With that, he looked towards the east, silently praying in his heart, hoping only for their journey to proceed smoothly.
