Chapter 318-319 On How to Conquer System Fairies and Make Them Your Wives 318-319

The method for forging the Eternal Light Sword had been left by the monk. And the Dao Venerable’s words in the Void had confirmed that it was a Dao Realm treasure.

“…A damaged Dao Realm treasure in the Lower Realm? Which Dao Venerable left it behind?…”

If the Solitary Dao Venerable’s words were true, then the monk was also a Dao Venerable, perhaps even more powerful.

And if that was the case, then his forging method was genuine.

Chen Yin believed the Immortal Venerable had forged the complete sword.

But something had happened afterward.

“Did you notice that Little Yao didn’t see the most crucial part?” he asked Qing Mei Niang.

“You’re talking about what happened after the Triennial Heavenly Tribulation, aren’t you?” she said, her eyes narrowed slightly.

Why had Gu Changliu been injured? Why had Mingluan married him? And where was Mo Wuyou? Something significant must have happened, something Little Yao hadn’t seen.

“I think it’s connected to the Eternal Light Sword. If we find more clues, we might understand why it’s incomplete.”

“But where do we look…?”

As he spoke, something in his pocket glowed. His Mist Spirit Sect disciple token. It was for emergency summons.

Something happened at the Mist Spirit Sect? Who would dare attack them now? Or… had something happened to Shen Shuanglian? But she was a Dao Comprehending Grand Clarity Realm cultivator. Who could threaten her?

He checked the message.

And sighed, rubbing his temples. “That girl…”

“What is it?” Qing Mei Niang looked at the token.

Sect Master trapped in Heavenly Path Perilous Domain. Send someone to Mount Yu immediately. Seek Sword Immortal Chen.

“Your little girlfriend sure knows how to pick a dangerous spot,” she said, her eyes twinkling mischievously.

Chen Yin sighed. The Heavenly Path Perilous Domain was the only place in the Lower Realm that could threaten Shen Shuanglian. Mo Wuyou had driven all the ancient beasts there.

Shen Shuanglian must have gone there alone, searching for clues about the Immortal Venerable.

“It seems I have to go to Mount Tiantu.”

“Need any help?” Qing Mei Niang offered, a playful smile on her lips. “There are many powerful demons in the Heavenly Path Perilous Domain. And you, without the Eternal Light Sword…” She winked at him. Ask me for help.

“Thank you, Senior, but I can handle a few Grand Clarity Realm demons.”

Qing Mei Niang pouted and turned away. “Then go and save your little girlfriend. And stop bothering me.”

Chen Yin turned to leave, then paused. “One last thing. Little Yao’s story… it made me realize how painful unrequited love can be. I know you have… feelings for Master. I have a solution.”

Qing Mei Niang looked at him, confused.

“Next time Master and I… do it… how about you watch?” He grinned and ran away.

A giant fox claw tore through the air where he had been standing.

“Chen Yin! You just wait!” she roared.

Meanwhile, at the heart of the Heavenly Path Perilous Domain…

Shen Shuanglian sat in the center of a failing formation, her expression calm.

“Little human girl,” a deep voice echoed from the mist, “you’ve seen things you shouldn’t have. Stay here, and we’ll spare your life. But if you insist on leaving…”

“Seniors, I meant no disrespect, but I can’t stay here. Please let me go,” she said calmly.

“Hmph! Humans are all liars! Then let’s see what you’re capable of!”

The formation flickered.

Shen Shuanglian opened her eyes and sighed.

…Chen Yin…

..did I cause you trouble again?

It had been a long time since Chen Yin had last visited the Heavenly Path Perilous Domain, a dangerous and mysterious region in the heart of the continent, rarely visited even by Grand Clarity Realm cultivators.

His last visit had been with Shen Shuanglian, their fall into the Domain, their shared intimacy in the hidden cave, still fresh in his memory.

Despite the thick mist that perpetually shrouded the Domain, he navigated the treacherous terrain with ease, his steps sure and steady as he approached the central region.

He passed the cave where he and Shen Shuanglian had sheltered, the familiar surroundings bringing back a wave of bittersweet memories.

The mist grew thicker, obscuring his vision and his spiritual sense, but he pressed on, undeterred, his experience in the darkness of the Azure Cicada Ancient Domain having prepared him for this.

He walked for what felt like an eternity, the mist so thick he could barely see his own hand before him, when a voice, deep and ancient, echoed through the air.

“…Little human,”

“This place is forbidden to your kind. Leave, and we’ll spare your life.”

The voice was filled with a chilling authority.

Chen Yin knew he had reached his destination.

“If you want to talk, show yourself,” he said calmly. “I don’t converse with cowards who hide in the shadows.”

“Arrogant!”

A powerful force surged towards him from the mist, a suffocating pressure that threatened to crush him.

But Chen Yin remained unmoved.

“So many intruders lately… it seems we’ve been too lenient. These humans have forgotten their place.” Other voices, deep and menacing, echoed through the mist.

Chen Yin, realizing that Shen Shuanglian must have been here, decided to provoke them. “If you’re as powerful as you claim, then why are you hiding here, afraid to show your faces?”

His words struck a nerve.

A chorus of roars and growls, like a symphony of rage, echoed through the mist, the sound deafening.

He could feel their killing intent.

“You…!”

“You’re looking for death!” one voice roared, its fury barely contained.

But another voice stopped it. “Wait! Why are you here, human?”

“I told you, show yourselves first,” Chen Yin said firmly.

“You think you can make demands of us, a mere human, trapped in our domain?” the voice sneered.

“So you refuse.”

Chen Yin sighed and pulled out a small sphere, tossing it in the air and catching it.

“Then I’ll help you.”

The voices in the mist seemed intrigued.

“What is that…?”

A moment later, they found out.

BOOM!

A blinding flash of light, followed by a deafening explosion and a chorus of screams, ripped through the mist, dispersing it momentarily.

And in the clearing, Chen Yin saw the source of the voice.

A massive black dragon, its scales like armor, its body as large as a mountain.

A gaping wound, its flesh charred and smoking, marred its side.

It roared in fury, its voice shaking the very foundations of the Heavenly Path Perilous Domain.

More voices, filled with anger and surprise, echoed from the mist.

“Human! You dare attack us?!”

“What?”

Chen Yin pulled out a handful of spheres, his voice casual and unconcerned. “Do you have a problem with that?”

The voices in the mist fell silent, their earlier bravado replaced by a cautious apprehension.

The black dragon glared at him, its eyes narrowed dangerously. “Do you want to start a war with us, human?”

“If you had been more reasonable, if you had shown yourselves and talked to me like civilized beings, then we wouldn’t be in this situation,” Chen Yin said, his voice calm and steady, his gaze unwavering. “You’re all Grand Clarity Realm demons. You can transform, can’t you? It’s tiring looking up at you. Come down and talk to me.”

“We are ancient beasts! We were born with this world! We won’t lower ourselves to your level!” a voice roared from the mist. “Don’t think you can challenge us with those… toys! We’ll crush you!”

“Are you sure about that?”

Chen Yin reached into his bag,

And pulled out a whole sack of spheres.

The voices in the mist fell silent, their bravado completely extinguished.

Chen Yin could almost hear them gasping.

Seriously? These things almost destroyed Jiazi, a peak Immortal Realm expert with a Dao Realm treasure. You’re just a bunch of Grand Clarity Realm beasts. How many lives do you think you have?

The voices in the mist began to whisper amongst themselves, their earlier aggression replaced by a nervous apprehension.

After a moment, the black dragon transformed into a tall, muscular man and landed before Chen Yin, its gaze fixed on him.

“What do you want?”

“A young woman came here before me,” Chen Yin said, getting straight to the point. “I’m here to find her.”

The black dragon glanced at him, then chuckled.

“Oh? Then go ahead and find her. But whether or not you can leave… depends on your skills.”

As he spoke, the mist around them grew thicker, swirling and coalescing, its density increasing rapidly.

And within the mist, Chen Yin sensed the faint hum of spiritual energy.

…A formation.

These beasts knew how to use formations?

The scenery around him shifted and changed, the mist swirling and condensing, until he saw a faint light in the distance.

A formation, its light flickering weakly.

And within the formation, a familiar figure, her blue robes swirling around her, sat cross-legged, her eyes closed in meditation.

Shen Shuanglian.

She seemed to have been waiting for a long time, her entire focus on maintaining the formation, oblivious to his presence.

Until a playful voice suddenly echoed in her ears:

“Senior Sister, isn’t the ground cold?”

“Why not sit on my lap?”
