Chapter 304-305 On How to Conquer System Fairies and Make Them Your Wives 304-305 |
Jiazi stood facing Chen Yin and Yu Ling, his expression grim.
“I’ll ask you one last time,” he said, his voice deep and resonant, “will you join the Dao Venerable?”
“Have him cut off his own head and offer it as an apology at the graves of my friends, and I’ll consider it,” Chen Yin said, his smile cold and menacing.
Jiazi shook his head slowly. “…A pity. If you joined us, we could have been friends. I would have enjoyed having a rival like you. But… you won’t live to see the Upper Realm.”
He summoned his halberd, its aura powerful and intimidating.
Chen Yin and Yu Ling’s playful banter vanished, their expressions turning serious.
“…This one’s different,” Chen Yin murmured.
Yu Ling nodded, her eyes narrowed slightly. “Can you handle him?”
“I think I can,” Chen Yin paused, then added, “but I don’t think my sword can.”
“We’ll see about that,” Chen Yin shrugged.
“I’m not planning on fighting you alone. It’s two against one. Fair and square.”
Jiazi glanced at Yu Ling, his eyes narrowed slightly. “You two… you have the potential to become powerful figures in the Upper Realm. Are you sure you won’t reconsider? I’ll even give you some information, as a bonus. The Solitary Dao Venerable isn’t the only one interested in this world. I doubt you have another pair of prodigies like yourselves to guard the other passage, do you?”
Chen Yin’s eyes narrowed.
—
On a remote island in the Eastern Region…
The bright moonlight was obscured by a dark fissure in the sky.
Qing Mei Niang, her beautiful face pale, her lips stained with blood, her clothes torn and tattered, stood on the cliff, her gaze fixed on the fissure, the wind whipping through her hair.
From within the fissure, figures in bronze armor emerged, their laughter echoing through the night.
“Hahaha, Master Jiazi was right! A Qing Fox who can manipulate the Void! I wondered why he shared such valuable information with us. Such a beautiful creature! We’ll be rewarded handsomely by the Profound Jade Dao Venerable! I wonder if there are any other Qing Foxes in this world… perhaps we can keep a few for ourselves, heehee…”
Qing Mei Niang took a deep breath, her eyes flashing with a dangerous glint.
…The seal she had been maintaining had been breached. A powerful force, similar to her own, had torn a hole in the Void.
She had tried her best to contain it, but she had failed.
Injured and exhausted, she could only watch in despair as the fissure expanded.
“So… this is where it starts,” she murmured, a hint of resignation in her voice.
But she wouldn’t retreat.
Little Ling’er was waiting for her.
She wouldn’t let anything happen to her.
“Even if I die, I’ll take a few of you bastards with me.”
She let out a chilling laugh, her nine tails swaying menacingly, her body radiating a powerful aura, ready to fight to the death.
But then, a soft, cool light enveloped her.
She paused, her eyes widening slightly.
“…He sent you for help? It seems things aren’t that bad on his side.”
Shen Shuanglian, her blue dress swirling around her, landed beside her.
“It’s Luo Luo. She failed to seal the passage. Chen Yin thought you might be in danger, so he sent us to help you,” she said softly.
Qing Mei Niang chuckled wryly at the mention of his name.
“So I owe him a favor now?”
“We can discuss that later.”
Shen Shuanglian bowed respectfully, then drew her sword, its slender blade gleaming in the moonlight, pointing towards the fissure.
More figures appeared in the sky.
Xiang’er, her fingers like claws, her aura dark and menacing.
The Grand Witch Bi Luo, her poisonous miasma spreading like a shroud.
Ye Huang, his swordsmanship sharp and precise.
Luo Qiaoqiao, her red dress swirling around her like flames, her phoenix cry echoing through the night, her parents by her side.
The Demon Lord, his black robes billowing in the wind.
Wan Yunhai, his beasts swarming around him.
The once peaceful sea became a chaotic battlefield, the sky and the water torn apart by their power, their battle visible even to the mortals miles away.
Qing Mei Niang looked at Shen Shuanglian, a playful smile on her lips. “I’ve heard that Sect Master Shen was once known as the greatest prodigy of the cultivation world. How many of them can you kill?”
Shen Shuanglian’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Ten more than you, Senior Mei Niang, would be sufficient.”
Qing Mei Niang laughed, her body transforming into its nine-tailed fox form, a massive creature that dwarfed the island, and charged towards the fissure.
“Then don’t disappoint me, Sect Master Shen!”
—
Chen Yin frowned slightly at Jiazi’s words.
Seeing their lack of reaction, Jiazi’s eyes narrowed.
“Aren’t you worried?”
“Not really,” Chen Yin grinned, “I have faith in my women.”
As Shen Shuanglian had said,
None of them were flower vases.
They were all powerful cultivators, capable of fighting by his side, ensuring his soft rice lifestyle for eternity.
Master glanced at him, then smiled faintly. “Let’s settle our own score first. Show me,” Chen Yin said, pointing his sword at Jiazi, “what a true Dao Realm expert is capable of.”
Jiazi’s eyes narrowed. “You’ll regret this.”
“I’ll regret your—”
Chen Yin’s sword flashed.
The moment Chen Yin moved, so did Jiazi.
Their first exchange was deceptively calm.
Jiazi’s halberd felt incredibly heavy, like the weight of a thousand mountains, the weight of the entire universe concentrated in a single point.
A single blow from that weapon could crush a world.
Chen Yin’s sword, on the other hand, was blindingly fast.
So fast that Jiazi only saw a flash of light before a thin cut appeared on his forehead.
He had never seen such speed, not even in the Upper Realm. He hadn’t even felt the pain.
They had both been testing each other.
But after that single exchange, Chen Yin understood the power of the Dao Realm.
Jiazi’s strength was comparable to his own Second Sword, infused with the power of two Daos.
He was confident he could hold his own in a one-on-one fight, but the Eternal Light Sword wouldn’t last.
Fortunately,
He wasn’t alone.
He glanced at the sword, its blade already showing signs of strain, and said softly, “The Eternal Light Sword won’t last long. We have to end this quickly.”
Master nodded.
Then, she took a step forward.
Jiazi’s gaze, which had been divided between them, now focused on Master. He was wary of this girl who had so easily killed two Silver Generals.
He braced himself for her attack.
But she did nothing.
She simply raised her hand, her flowing robes swirling around her, her slender wrist twisting gracefully.
A deep gash suddenly appeared on Jiazi’s left arm.
Although no blood flowed, thanks to his immortal energy, he was stunned into silence.
If Chen Yin’s sword had been too fast for him to react to,
This time, he hadn’t even seen the attack.
It was as if he had been cut by an invisible blade.
And just like Bing Chou, shimmering threads of energy, his immortal energy and life force, began to seep from the wound.
The Dao of Life and Death. A terrifying power. Jiazi knew he couldn’t drag this out.
But he still didn’t understand what she had done.
“What… is your Dao?” he asked hesitantly.
“Why would I tell you?” Master grinned, her eyes sparkling mischievously. Then she turned to Chen Yin, her voice filled with a playful excitement. “Go! Beat him up!”
“Roger that!”
Chen Yin’s sword moved before he had even finished speaking.
Three more deep gashes appeared on Jiazi’s body, one of them extending from his left shoulder to his chest, almost splitting him in two. From the wound, a torrent of immortal energy and life force flowed into the Eternal Light Sword, its blade regaining some of its brilliance.
Jiazi stared at the wound, his eyes filled with confusion.
“How…?”
“You can think about it in hell.”
Chen Yin attacked again, his sword a blur of motion.
This time, Jiazi raised his halberd, its ancient and heavy form radiating a powerful aura.
A dragon’s roar echoed through the Void as a shimmering barrier formed around him.
Chen Yin’s sword struck the barrier, creating a small crack.
And the Eternal Light Sword, as if it had struck an impenetrable force, dimmed slightly, more cracks appearing on its blade.
“Tough shell you have there,” Chen Yin said, impressed. “How many years did you spend as a turtle to develop such a thick shell?”
“Your taunts are useless.”
Jiazi’s voice was calm and steady. “Show me your true strength. I want to see what you’re capable of.”
Chen Yin and Master exchanged a look, then they both smiled.
“So your mouth is even tougher than your shell. Since you’re so confident, how about I show you something… interesting?”
Jiazi frowned, sensing something was amiss.
But he wasn’t worried. In his mind, the only real threat was Chen Yin’s sword.
And that sword, damaged and weakened, couldn’t break through his halberd’s defenses.
He watched as Chen Yin pulled out a small, round object, something he had never seen before.
…What is that?
“It seems you’ve never used the Heavenly Dao Fragments yourselves,” Chen Yin said, tossing the small sphere in his hand playfully. “Then let me show you their… charm.”
He threw the sphere at Jiazi.
A deafening explosion rocked the Void.
A brilliant flash of light, like a firework, momentarily blinding them, the shockwave so powerful that even Master, standing at a distance, gasped.
“Whoa,” she said, her eyes wide with surprise, “that was… impressive.”
Chen Yin grinned, his hands on his hips. “Technology is the ultimate weapon. Did you really think I would just slash at you with my sword? Wake up, old man, times have changed.”
The light faded, and Jiazi’s figure reappeared, his halberd still intact, its aura unwavering.
But his expression had darkened.
…He knew how close that explosion had come to breaking his defenses.
He hadn’t expected such a powerful artifact to exist in the Lower Realm.
This world was truly full of surprises.
But it didn’t matter.
“You have some interesting tricks, Lower Realm ants, but they’re not enough to break through my Qianlong Halberd’s defenses—”
“Not enough, huh?”
Chen Yin’s smile sent a chill down Jiazi’s spine.
“Who said,”
“…that was all I had?”
He grinned, and Jiazi’s eyes widened in horror as he saw hundreds of small spheres appear beside Chen Yin, their surfaces shimmering with a dangerous light.
“Let’s see,”
“If your shell is tougher than my bombs.”
“Oh, wait, these aren’t bombs.”
“—They’re art.”
Chen Yin smiled.
And the Void experienced the most devastating explosion since its creation.
