Chapter 2943: The Apostles of Typhon Retreat |
"BE GRINDED BY THE MIGHT OF WAR!" The God of War Ares shouted as all of his chains returned back to his palm and all of the monsters bound are pulled towards him.
The monsters that were pulled towards the God of War Ares were then burned by the flames of war that he has created. The God of War Ares could be seen rampaging and creatin more and more chains that bound the monsters. He was swiftly cleaning up the battlefield like it is nothing. Even with this, the God of War Ares is still searching for the Nemean Lion earlier as he wanted to kill it and have its hide be decoration as a floormat.
"You cannot escape the eyes of war!" The God of War Ares stated as his eyes suddenly burned with flames and all of the beings around him suddenly became distinguishable for him.
The God of War Ares’ War Sight is a special ocular skill that lets him gauge the power of a being when it comes to war. The color would be from a light red to a dark red and it is determined by how much war potential one has. The God of War Ares knew that the Nemean Lion earlier is someone that has great war potential which is why he used this sight as soon as he could not bind it earlier.
"GOT YOU!" The God of War Ares stated as he is actually shocked that there are two beings with dark red auras that could be seen by his War Sight.
The God of War Ares suddenly became even more interested as he never thought that there is another being that is equal to that of the Nemean Lion. In fact, the being that is running with the Nemean Lion has a darker shade of red. War Potential is not really just measured by how much they can kill but the overall thins that they can contribute in war. The God of War Ares could already tell that the other one has potential to be a war general hence the other being having a darker shade of red.
The God of War Ares did not even wait for the others to join him in his charge because he will rampage with all his might. He is only given five minutes by the God King Zeus as that is the maximum time that they can have with a full descent in the vicinity of the areas around Olympus. The God of War Ares could only exert his power near the areas of Olympus or else the world restriction will apply to him.
This is the reason why the God of War Ares will not let the two fine specimen of enemies leave the vicinity of Olympus or else he will not have his fun. Both Namea and Myrma felt the hairs on their neck tingle as a literal war god was hot on their case. They did not know how the God of War Ares was able to determine them in such a thick and chaotic battlefield but they are now the targets.
Myrma knew that they would get captured if she does not do it now. She no longer held back the commands of the Myrmekes colony that she commanded. She commanded all of the colony to attack the God of War Ares. The Myrmekes under Myrma could not stop or refuse the command hence all of them charged towards the God of War Ares.
The monster army that was tough and full of confidence finally scattered like flies when the God of War Ares descended. It seems that the suggestion magic that was used to partially control their minds got destroyed upon seeing the being of war descend before them. In fact, the first ones to run away were the demigod level monsters as they value their lives more and the God of War Ares is known for easily killing demigods.
The demigod level monsters are actually relieved when they saw that the God of War Ares were not after them but are after two monsters instead. The God of War Ares not being focused on them made them easily get away from the battlefield. Even the monsters that should not be good at running away or escaping were able to get out from there. The God of War Ares is too focused on the two female humanoid monsters to even care about them.
"How is the God of War Ares able to descend? Your attacks earlier are not something that transcended the level of a demigod. They should not be able to descend like that because of the rules. Even our master told us that the gods cannot easly descend in areas that are not directly their divine domain but the God of War Ares is now hunting us down." Myrma stated.
"I do not know but maybe I got carried away earlier and made a strike that is equivalent to that of a lesser god or something. I did use my Nemean Aura after all." Namea stated which made Myrma even more ticked off.
"Lernea! We need your help! The God of War Ares is currently following us. Can you send a diversion?" Myrma sent a message to their back up.
"Do not worry because Phaea already noticed what is happening to both of you and is now sending some help. I am currently looking for another route for the other team that entered as the path they used earlier has suddenly closed off. If you need anything else, contact Phaea instead." Lernea replied.
"I am already sending the help. Make sure to evade also." Phaea replied in their group chat.
"What do you mean we have to dodge as well?" Namea asked but Phaea did not reply to her as she only noticed a spherical shadow above his head.
Large circular boulders suddenly started to rain down from the sky and all of it is in the direction of Namea and Myrma. The two Apostles of Typhon evaded the incoming boulders easily and those boulders then rolled behind them. The one behind them did not even evade as he just tanked the boulder like it is nothing. The God of War Ares just destroyed the boulder with sheer destructive force that is his body.
"Fight me!" The God of War Ares shouted.
"We... umpph!" Namea was about to shout something when Myrma closed the former’s mouth with her hand.
"Do not reply with intent! You will be trapped in a match! Did you not read about the file about the God of War Ares?" Myrma exclaimed in fear as the gods of war have a special ability to pull in challengers to their divine domains.
Some gods of war need an actual confirmation but the most powerful ones just need intent. It does not even matter if they accepted or rejected as long as there is intent in the reply then the gods of war can pull them into the divine domain. This is the reason why Myrma hurriedly shut Namea’s mouth when she was about to respond.
"Tch! Do not run away! I can feel your burning fighting spirit! Fight this god here!" The God of War Ares shouted as he still chased the two Apostles of Typhon.
The God of War Ares was unrelenting in chasing the enemies that he deemed fun to fight. The God of War Ares did not notice that this made a brewing thought in his mind that they might be weak. This resulted in him thinking that the boulders that he was crashing through earlier will all be the same. This became the major miscalculation of the God of War Ares as he only noticed that a boulder has been enchanted with powerful energy when it finally hit him.
The boulder slammed towards the God of War Ares like a truck. It sent him flying for about five meters before his anger reached the peak and he melted the boulder along with the energy in it. The only problem is that the two he was chasing got away when he regained somewhat of a coherent thought.
The God of War Ares tried to search for them again but they finally got away from his War Sight. The two beings he was chasing looked like they vanished into nothingness. They were able to getaway which angered the God of War Ares even more. He only has a minute left for his full descent hence he used that remaining minute to clean up the battlefield in one fell swoop as he declared his domain.
