    Definitely like this, as it’s not quite conventional. Definitely different to sign in novels. The main thing is, that the reader has to be like the MC and see the rewards as more of a danger gauge of a particular action rather than take it literally. So far, the plot doesn’t seem forced and has been entertaining without being cliche (not obviously anyway)

    This is definitely not for anyone looking for a conventional xianxia or a sign in novel. Adjust expectations accordingly. (Yes I’m repeating myself as people on webnovel seem to go in expecting something else and keep complaining)

          yeah but the problem is he doesn't cultivate he is just using the power of his system to his normal body,
          also, the fact that there are just 4 options is kind of limiting per se,
          and you are right but it feels boring for me.

          another point is the fact that he doesn't change in the latest chapter he is still doing the same thing again why doesn't he change or improve or try different methods, it just feels weird to me.

              That’s the thing though. This MC from the start has been straightforward with his goals of just surviving and trying to be a background mob. The cultivators around can easily tell what cultivation people have so they can gauge strength. It was also in the first bunch of chapters how some random disciple got ambushed and crippled because he stood out. MC’s method is strength is basically going for raw stats over level based strength which is far far easier to hide and currently more versatile.

              Tbh, you seem like you just might prefer a conventional xianxia? That’s fine too, but this novel just ain’t it (at least so far). Theres plenty of those around with a headstrong MC constantly looking for more power.
