OKAY! i just read till chapter 253! and what a wonderful novel this is. the start may disgust some people but give just 5 chapters and you'll start understanding the mc.
this is my review on the content of the novel
System: [spoiler] The system is basically a danger detection system that allow the mc to dodge hairy situations. And frankly the world is out to get him.[/spoiler]
MC: the mc is thoughtful and understands hoe to handle the system. He is not naïve. He is decisive when dealing with people and doesn't take all the damage without retaliation. And MC is OP but does not show it outwardly. he isn't bullied for this reason as in usual Xianxia since the world here gives some importance to culture.
The FL: there is no fl. there is no harem. there are just bunch if women who want to have his favor but he avoids them since the system deems them as Earth grade threats due to the strings attached. (this is not yaoi either.) [spoiiler] there are yandere stalker types but they dont actually force them on the mc they keep a healthy distance and sniff the stuff mc gives them[/spoiler]
The Characters: They are another aspect of the novel i quiet like. they aren't cardboard cutouts. the character interaction are real good. and mc's inner dialogue during conversations are also good
And i love how the mc when putting up the front of a 5th qi refiner is actually a guy who is almost or more powerful than Mystic spirits (since this isn't clarified)

his method of leveling up is thru ignoring mission and taking option that give him random attribute points. [spoiler]this means he is crazy good in almost all field of cultivation and other misc[/spoiler]

so far no nationalism and a 5/5 in xianxia for me.

Alternative name

This novel is like a pickled radish for your sushi. A palate cleanser of some sort.

It is a refreshing take on system novels due to the main character's quirks and wittyness, the apparent dangers lurking at every turn, the system's unique operation, and the golden interactions with other characters. It is not your usual xianxia novel of power-ups, face slapping, and harem chasing. Girls chase him, not the other way around. Power-ups are hard to see because he stays lowkey. When I say lowkey, it really is hiding in the background, unlike the other main characters; when they say they would hide, it gathers the attention of the whole universe in the next chapter.

It is not a perfect novel. It has its ugly side too like the translation. It's not seen in the early chapters, but as you go on, you would be confused by the pronouns used in the sentences as they are interchanged. It's also frustrating to see how the main character rarely gets what he deserves because the world hates him. Literally.

Overall, it's an enjoyable read if you're getting tired of the rinse and repeat kind of novel.

Real harem or nah?

I didn't think i would like this book as much i did, it is pretty fresh and mc isn't dumb and actually thinks! Interactions are quite fun too. While the system mc has is a bit of too much plot Armor but it doesn't go too aboveboard. Overall I enjoyed this books, recommended if you're looking for something fresh with overpowered mc who is being targeted by heavens will.
