MC is pretty naïve, but he doesn't stay that way after about chapter 20. Really good book so far, MC isn't too overpowered that there is no challenge for him.

Nah MC is still naive ie. chapter 207. MC is dumb and naive.

There's also tons of misunderstandings and not the good kind. It's the kind where people misunderstand MC as someone who cheated(when in reality MC wanted to do bad in an alchemy test to appear average, but because he was trying to do bad he almost failed and barely passed, making the elder think that maybe MC cheated in the past because the rumor he heard was that MC was supposed to be gifted and not this dumb f*ck that barely passed the test) and someone who uses his connections to get stuff(Ie. a disciple found out a conjecture of how MC is able to use the only top grade technique of the sect when he just started and found out that he was the sect master's disciple and thought that he used his connections to get stuff). Started disliking this novel from then on.

First 15 or so chapters are annoying because mc is ignorant about games and cultivation in general. Then he does some research which gives him a idea of how the game works and to continue forward. It gets better from there.

Yeah it's good. Mc has an op beginning but doesn't realise ,he's like yuan from Cultivation online but changes after doing research and deciding to sell pills for money.

I haven't read it all and stopped at around 40 or so but it's good and I'm gonna start it again.

Its also more of a Cultivation online novel rather than reincarnation of the strongest sword god where NPC's lack character

Have you read the novel? I started it but dropped because I dislike the mc, is he getting more clever and not so stupid and naive? If yes at which chapter?

Actually at chapter 183 you'll know that MC isn't that special and in many of his fights MC won't end up unscathed.
