      2 things for me,

      1. “brrrrrrrr” numbers go up, satisfies a primal part of my brain

      2. I never got to play any games growing up, and still rarely get the opportunity, so this genre has appealed to me

      Personally, my view is that all fiction isn’t real. That the power is real outside of the game doesn’t normally matter since the story is within the game, where it has a tangible affect on the game environment.

        Well you're take on that is welcomed BUT!! While it is true that fiction novels or stories are just that, fiction. It doesn't change the fact that when we read a book or watch a movie, we imagine our selves in that situation and connect with the characters there. So real or not doesn't change anything because most people would prefer to read an actual fantasy novel and not a novel about some guy playing a video game in the novel. Peace
