Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method巫师：从骑士呼吸法开始肝经验

Ah I remember reading around 200 chaps of this in MTL. Its very very good. Only stopped because the MTL became unreadable due to paragraph order being mixed up all the time.

Note my review will include terms from the MTL so it might be slightly different in the actual translation.

In terms of the story:
He transmigrated into the body of a noble boy of the Black Snake family, who is the only member of the family left with the bloodline due to his father being killed in battle. At the start of the novel we are told he is 13 years old and transmigrated after the death of the original host at 10 years old. He has his own small territory and a loyal retainer.

The main Knight "cultivation" is from Breathing Methods. Generally the better breathing method require the relevant bloodline as well. However his Proficiency panel gets around this, so he can practice any Breathing Method. Later on he is able to sacrifice lower tier methods into higher ones in order to limit break and derive a higher level for them. They have different types - Attack, Defence, Speed, Auxiliary etc. Once they're cultivated to a certain level they focus on a specific body part and provide him They all give him at least 1 characteristic and the rarer ones multiple. For example his family Breathing Method's characteristic is Defense.

It does have some modern references in there - like MC's first contact with a version of Magic comes from certain seals he finds that are related to supernatural families. Winchester, Constantine etc.
He uses the name "Geralt" and wears a White Wolf mask as an alias as well, which is why Ciri is on the cover I'm guessing. Afaik they are just references though. It is nice to see him referencing his past world at least.

The MC himself is smart and doesn't make stupid mistakes all the time for no reason, which is rare in novels nowadays. He also isn't super selfish/ruthless like Leylin Farlier (WotMW) either. He doesn't overestimate himself either, like

Don't go into this expecting the Knight stuff to be a small part at the start. It is not until around . Even then he does continue his Knight path as well.



Overall, give this a try. I despise MTL and very rarely read it, but this is one of the few novels I liked well enough to read through it despite that. Though when I read through it, there wasn't any translation at all - it was either MTL or nothing. Am definetly hoping this translations continues so that I can eventually continue reading on.
