Fang Heng was transmigrated to a parallel world and his soul was forced into the body of a man who had just committed suicide.

Huh? What? Every human here was being forced to join a game? Those who refused would be killed?

Wait? This suicide dude was a pro gamer?

He had the highest S-rank talent sill, the Zombie Clone?

Damn! The S-rank skill evolved! My zombie clones could auto hunt!

[Your zombie army has crafted Wooden Axe x720 when you were offline. You have received 1921 experience points for the Basic Crafting skill.]

[Your zombie army has chopped down 27,821 trees and gathered 128,973 pieces of wood while you were offline. You have received 2,171,921 experience points for the Basic Wood Chopping skill.]

Just as the rest of the players were struggling to survive in the zombie apocalyptic game, Fang Heng’s zombie clones were starting to clear every resource out of the forest.

Hm… What an interesting game! Collapse

it's called AFK, but the MC spends the entire novel running around in the game. The dude can't catch a break. The author has tunnel vision and it's exhausting to read.

if he had to use a actual keyboard to play I'm sure he'd even sleep on it smh

It's not incorrect but he also has his zombies do alot of stuff in parallel which is what allows him to have a solid foundation be it industrially financially militarily or in terms of personal skills. And significant amount of the time he spends on setting up the action chain - it's like setting up a bot - it might seem time consuming for what it does but the amount of time saved not doing the simple things adds up, let alone when it's multi instance

Read 1400+ chapters. And 90% of the time everything is done by the gg, and the zombies mainly pump up skills or collect resources. I wouldn't call it afk

You said it right. Along the way instead of enjoyment it becomes suffocating. There's no relief.

yeah, I dropped it after the server advancement quest. I thought it was just gonna be a side quest that would take a few days but the author kept piling stuff up without end in sight

I've been meaning to pick this up again but I get lazy just thinking about it

By the way this the best at expressing this novel.
      Do you have good recommendations?

At the moment I really like "Eternal Tale" but they don't have it here. It's on Novel Updates though

The MC and his ox are immortal and they roam around in a cultivation world doing stuff, it's pretty comfy

If you can tolerate through the initial set up and arcs where MC is still trying to figure out and gain strenght. Then it is worth the read. Alot of fellow Daoist have not been able to tolerate it and dropped around that time as MC is acting overly cautious at that time.

That's how novels of this type should be, it always starts with personal strenght and later with military strenght, if MC isn't cautious he would die, ofcourse he won't die in the novel, but it gets boring when you think, here's 90% chance to die, but he survived, here he went against gods with a 0.00000001% chance to survive, but he survives, it just makes me disgusted as reckless MC like in most novels would be dead 10s if not 100s of times by the time they reach the top level powerhouses, in this novel its the same and MCs chances of survival is minimal most of the time, but with his genius level intellect somehow thinks of a way to get out safely

And let's be fair, most reckless MCs have intellect lower then 5 year old children

I read close to 1000 chapters of this novel...the score of this novel on this website seems fair. This novel is not good enough to reach 4 stars. 3.9 is an above average score and maybe that's how i feel about it, perhaps i would give it a little less.
As for why? Well...everything feels both rushed and filled with filler at the same time. I've been thinking about how to express my feelings on this novel, and this is the best way to put it. The mc's talent is overpowered, and because the talent is overpowered and filled with potential the author made a decision: to throw every conceivable problem at the mc in order to prevent him from having time to research and develop his zombie talent. We are met with problem after problem, invasion after invasion, plot after plot, a roller-coaster of f#ckery that never stops and never gives the mc or the reader any room to breathe. The mc is forced to jump around trying to put out fires, and although it feels like the mc is growing stronger, at the same time, it feels that he hasn't grown stronger at all. Or at least, he hasn't grown as strong as he should have been. This is all to build tension, keeping the mc weak on purpose by giving him less time to act, it just feels forced.
At some point, the author simply removes the mc's status screen. We no longer see how strong the mc is, none of his skills, and have no perception of his growth, or how he compares to his enemies. Sometimes, it feels like the mc could easily deal with his enemies because of all his abilities, only to struggle quite a bit instead. Some skills are outright forgotten.
The power system is also extremely convoluted. It's like a patchwork of various systems that the mc collects as if it was candy: zombie power system, vampire power system, sealing power system, holy power system, death power system, among others. At first glance, the world building seems pretty rich, but giving it a closer look and everything feels shallow and poorly fleshed out. It's like the author tried to dip his toes into too many pools, only to never commit. The author seems aware of this, since he has blamed this on the very little time the mc has had to learn these powers, which is true. 1000 chapters in, and not even 2 months of time have gone by. Amazing right? This is also why i felt that the novel was filled with filler. It gives me the vibe of - you're only allowed to progress in the main quest if you do all the side missions.
So much has happened in such a short timeframe, i sometimes found myself just skipping chapters, only to realize that i lost no important information at all, which led me to a certain realization: why am i reading this?
The mc himself isn't very appealing. He's funny, and greedy, but he has no ideals, or stakes, or goals. No family to protect, no attachment to anything or anyone. The side-characters are poorly treated by the author, forgotten or discarded after they outlived their usefulness, you'll often find yourself wondering while reading this novel: "what happened to that guy?" or "What happened to that girl"?. These are questions you'll often find in the comments, and they seldom get an answer.
I personally don't like the mc, though many people will disagree with me, and find his greed to be very amusing.
Perhaps this review may seem harsh, but as i've said earlier, i've read 1000 chapters. This means the novel has value and is entertaining. Perhaps you might disagree with me and find this novel to be close to a masterpiece, and that's fine. To each their own. Thanks for reading.

    Read 150 chapters

Meh novel. MC and system are OP enough. But there is no personality. The story has a plot, there is some intrigue, mystery etc but after 150 chaps there is still no sense of adventure.

It’s too focused on MC, side characters are there just to pop in , or help MC get more OP, but they don’t seem to add anything to the world.

Feels off somehow. Not a bad novel tho, but feels like a brain off novel.

    6.3/10

Solid novel for people that do not want to think. There is some plot development. Hidden enemies. Grand reveal and all that. Most of the story is just the mc doing quest and leveling up which I don’t mind. Little to no character development. Mc is relatively smart, does not have a shit personality. Arcs are very long but mc does get stronger every chapter. Readable. Deserves a 4/5 but I gave it a 5/5.

Have you read Worlds apocalypse online ? it has one of the best world building I have found, and it is very original.

But in general it is hard to recommend something if we do not know if you have read it or not.

Usually if cultivation is your thing then anything from Er Gen is solid.

besides that Lord of Mysteries is a a good novel
Throne of Magical Arcana is also good read.
The World online is solid kingdom building (not to mistaken with world online)
I rather enjoyed Release the witch, tho I have not finished reading the ending as it felt rushed.
Kidnapped Dragons - Solid read, mostly slice of life with bit of action. Really good drama.

It would be nice if there was a Zombie bloodline, rn, MC has 3 bloodlines(2 strong, 1 normal). If he upgrades his 3 bloodlines to Vampire King, Demon King and the third normal one HUMAN to something like High Human with the same strenght and potential as Vampire and Demon King it would be a nice combo, adding that to Zombies(which are OP in later stages), after he became something like Zombie King his UnDead skill could become a racial skill and upgrade further. Later all the bloodlines could advance and become something like demigod Vampire, Demon, Human, Zombie... A perfect combinations of his skills and personality(Monster bloodlines are supported, Human bloodlines doesn't work, like the hunter bloodline in vampire world for example).

What do you mean Zombie lineage? Do you want to kill the MC? He already possesses the World Lord SSS skill, Body-Immortal. I don't see the point in having a "zombie bloodline", he would have to die and become stupid.
