    Short version: Not for everyone, but it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.
    Long version: I’ve read all the chapters (only 157 translated as of this comment), and it really is a good novel. However, it’s just not meant for me. First off, I don’t like all the Chinese names used during fighting scenes. I also feel like there are quite a few plot holes. For example when the VR tech from aliens on mars was revealed, NO ONE AT ALL mentioned that ALIENS EXISTED on mars. (Not a spoiler, mentioned in synopsis) There are some others, but I don’t wanna make the reading experience worse for you if you get bothered by such things. Otherwise, it was fine. Just some personal qualms with how the MC dual wields shield’s and uses a spear instead of being more like a Spartan and using spear and shield. Really, the only major problems I had with this were merely personal complaints. Oh, something of note; the VR tag on this gives a vastly different feeling compared to all the other VR ones on the site. It’s also very unique (imo).

      The tech found on Mars isn't alien technology. You should give the story another chance. I admit it seems very slow initially but the story has picked up space. The arc which starts just after the chapter current translation has reached is very interesting. The secrets of the world are being revealed slowly as our mc powers up. So i would recommend you to give this novel aanother chance atleast when out of novels to read.

    Finally a new Novel from IET, i have read all of his novels and liked all of them. Despite reading shit loads of the stories, IETs novels remail one of all time favourites. Love age progression, power progression, world building, neutral or good characters with no harem seeking. I will come back once the more chapters are translated.

      So far, it's going well. However, because this is set on Earth, there is a fair share of "Hail China" in this. That's why I don't like it as much compared to other IET novels.

      Also, some things aren't explained at all. For example, this novel starts in 2082, but Earth's population is still 7 billion. China still has about 1.5 billion humans.

      IET pretty much doesn't know about any countries other than China, the USA and Russia. Geniuses almost always emerge from these.

      Regardless, this novel is still better than most other novels right now. At least the fights are pretty good.

        I’m not chinese but I do believe that China is the most focused when it comes to martial arts; and most martial arts developed there. That and the population is a huge advantage most obviously.

        So it’s not surprising that China has the highest number of ‘geniuses’ when they have a such a huge pool to pick from.

        As long as it’s not heavy chinese nationalism, racism and hate like those other novels from few other chinese authors I’m fine with it I guess.

            True, but not in the this novel. Cuz everyone has a VR set and can learn. So basically, since everyone in the world has a VR set and it comes down to ability/talent to get more resources, the countries with huge populations mostly win.

          Okay, I admit that my evaluation was a little harsh. In this novel, nationalism is entirely logical. It's similar to how the majority of superheroes in American superhero films are from the United States. It's fine for someone to show their patriotism as long as they respect others.

              That’s obvious, they can’t be going around having internal squabbles when there are people out there that can one-shot the entire planet.
              No one cares about planetary life-forms; probably comparable to slaves in the other novels. So their only hope are these ‘cosmic heroes’ who could possible end up supporting the planet.

      It’s a competition to find the strongest where people are improving constantly so everyone seeks a good opponent. The strongest doing a 1v1 is a given even though they haven’t set any rules, it’s like a gentleman’s agreement.

    Excellent Novel. I love the whole background and setting. Would love it if the MC had higher intelligence than the most or some special talent other than his obvious spear talent though.

    Superb read overall. Waking up everyday expecting to read the next chapter is a little sad :( Hope there is a mass release or something. 💙
