you really cant go wrong with IET and CKtalon, much of what you read of this genre IET has a big part in his massification and for a chinesse author there is little to no racism and sexism even if he is a Male Mc only author.
The pacing in his novels are a little slow but usually start that way in his novels and pick up the pace to a cenit, should he be a little more inovative? probably yes.
But he is above average in almost any novel

A novel written by IET, which is translated by the god of translators CKtalon.The novel though may not be great but it surely would be good.

First of all, the novel is very similar to the story progression of the author's other novels.
Mc is weak, he is defeated, then he gets stronger during the war, but he is defeated by a small margin, he wins in the last big war, there is no tragedy, there is no ridiculous romance, there is no strong female character, and most importantly, there is a little racism.
I still recommend the novel, most of the author's novels are above average, sometimes you can get bored but not bad
Also, I must say that I don't know or remember any of the characters' appearances. There are very few descriptions.
If you say "oh my god he's so strong"
"No, I think it's a little weak"
"unbelievably powerful"
"he will definitely lose"
If you don't want to see sentences like this, I wouldn't recommend this novel. There is a lot of talk like this.
Let's get back to racism.

It’s still good at least not like Super gene theres only chinese in 2 universe

Man, story is well written but just bit too boring. There's really nothing else to it than just some tournaments. Overall, mc isn't interesting, there isn't any great plot(s), even strength progression isn't that interesting etc.
It's not that story is bad, there isn't any irritating parts or anything, it's just so meh. I feel like good rating is just because there isn't really anything offensive about it so people don't give negative comments due to emotions. But honestly I would give this at most 3.

Granted I only read till c40, but overall, stakes are really just some money and glory mc doesn't need. And really reader shouldn't go trough tons of boring and bad stuff just for stuff to get good, that just means story is not good, c40 is plenty to read to give an chance for an story.
Ofc there's the evolution in real life but honestly it hasn't been really an factor. Story might get better later, but I don't think I can get trough boring fighting and tournament that mean little, I mean reading about fighting itself is usually pretty much filler anyways.

Someone might like it, but just like Slice-of-life type stories(this is pretty much like slice of life, just more fighting), this is definitely not for me.

Does it take place 50% or more in VR? Are there any actual consequences besides money on the line? Help a brother out, ty.

Translator has been splitting the translations in two to three chapters. Kinda lame if you ask me

This is a review up to chapter 200, where the next part of the saga starts. 4.5/5 ★

• The very beginning of the story really got me hooked, and I was looking for the cliché standard rich young master villian vs protagonist fighting for revenge, but the author did a real good twist and got me sucked in.
• The hype is real! It has some exciting scenes that remind me of the Korean novels Legend of Legends, and Overgeared.
• After chapter 187 the translation/editor completely changed and got ruined for a bit but that's fixable.
