    Don't care much for this one at all. At this point I'm extremely tired of cold MCs who "fiercely care about those close to them but remain totally indifferent to anyone else." This trope became popular in the first place as a counter to the "cliche" of sentimental heroes who want to save people, but it seems like now 95% of webnovel protagonists are near-emotionless murderhobos as long as their immediate families aren't involved (in which case they become angry murderhobos till they get resolve the crisis/get revenge before returning to indifference) while MCs who get easily invested in others are nigh-extinct. After the novelty wears off reading yet another webnovel about an MC who barely cares about anything is just so goddamn boring.

      I don't know though what your comment has to do with this novel. Story starts with Mc literally rescuing people and worrying about his family.
      Besides do you know how rare are novels where Mc is ruthless? In fact most mcs are idiot saviors then there are few vengeance porn where author makes cartoonish villains and these are "murder hobo" stories since Mc is forced y author to face slap and kill.

      Ambitious mcs who want more from life are really rare. If you have any novel where Mc is not yet another idiot hero write them here. You may not like ambitious Mc but I like them though

        Yeah, there are too much author that pretend to write evil, villian, badass, egoistic ant other egocentric and ambitious mc. Every second bad boy (or just not so "good") just another paladin with bad mouth.
