    I don't like it. The story is a horror story, thinly hidden behind a system progression theme. You can be certain that anytime the characters make a plan or achieve success the author will immediately shit on in some horrific way.

    The author then uses the stress of these horrible situations to play twisted mind games on the characters, often orchestrated by the MC with some weak justification. Of course it's still a horror so things go wrong, or the author comes up with some weak excuse why the characters are suddenly stabbing each other in the back.

    The translation quality is poor. You often can't tell who is speaking, the characters use the Asian style of referring to each other by a dozen different nicknames and honorifics so it becomes excessively difficult to even figure out who is who. Things become even more difficult when the names are constantly being translated differently.

    Anyways, it's a great story if you like horror stories, and seeing people become increasingly depraved after the asshole MC subjects them to extensive and constant psychological abuse.

    Great novel. From beginning till the end stayed true to itself and it's premise of a weak but manipulative and selfish MC.

    Gotta warn you that the dialogues sometimes make it hard to discern between who's speaking.

    While it had some flaws
    it's definitely distinct and memorable.
    The characters were vibrant and interesting. Yes, they were extreme, but it's also what didn't let the plot go dull.
    The world and plot were clear and reasonable, allowing us to plot along MC, in stark contrast to most novels out there where the people, rules and power systems are so murky that we couldn't predict anything, even if the matter was simple. And despite that, the plot and MC managed to surprise me time after time.
    I could even find quite a bit of worldly knowledge from it.
    And especially appreciate how author realistically showed the negative effects of MC's manipulations over time, while still managing to keep a funny and overall positive mood throughout the series.

    The way Kiyoung understood and played on general public's and his friends emotions and thoughts was the definite highpoint, while a great rarity in the current novels world at that.

    It was disturbing at times, funny at times, surprising and food-for-thought at times, brilliant at times, and while of course imperfect at times, brilliant overall.

    It's just my opinion, but I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

    I got bad news. For those who don't know, the website from Active Translation is shutdown for like 3 months ago and they're basically stop translating lots of novel, especially this novel. Well, not that they're stopped but the one who translate the novel will only translate in their free time. So we need to wait for at least a months or even years to completely translate the novel cry6 sigh
