Man what a ride, i really loved this novel from front to back (doesn't really fit a webnovels but eh). Really Bai Xiaochun is one of my favorite protagonists, he would be a great influencer in real life he just makes content wherever he goes. The story is maybe one of the weaker aspects of this, I don't have any references for Er Gen's other work but from what I've heard the story in those is stronger. Though the story is still a solid 7.5 and maybe a 8 if you have read the other Er gen novels because theres some references you would get. Basically it's this cowardly boy that wants to be immortal after seeing his parents die slow death, which tramautizes him. This provides a good foundation to see strong character moments and change from Xiaochun, like the first time he risks his life, which is honestly a highlight of the whole thing. The story develops pretty steadily, from sect, Xiaochun causing disaster and getting in trouble, learning and getting stronger, exploring or a new sect then going back to that first sect, but generally it's a good a good cycle that doesn't linger too long. Personally though after like 500 chapters the constant disasters and people saying "I'm gonna kill you" got stale and I'd just skim past those parts. Translation of this novel is good, deathblade did a good job, and the ending no spoilers was satisfying except one thing. 8.4/10

Well to be honest it is a good novel, can't say the same about the story and MC...

The character building started good ....
MC is not smart but repetitively dumb but still it won't get annoying until 600-700chapters after that it all repeat talk
Tbh it almost feels like the author ran out of ideas ... He has a amazing start it was fun .. there were future progress prospects but nothing is implemented honesty some might say the MC hasn't gotten a bit smart even after living for almost century

He can several flames and can make more but when he returns he won't enhance the sword and all reserve powers of sect....
It was shown he loves his village but won't even visit back for 1000s of chapters
There was an secret abyss realm which has Deva beast remains and such... It felt like a good place to explore but it's forgotten
He hasn't helped almost anyone lol

Excessive plot armour and all on time entries just killed those Zhao, Zhou in beginning

Has Harem but no romance not even proper care for each other just two repeated scenes twice... Two women fighting and other pills busting by women

ANYWAY GOOD TO PASS TIME AND KINDA FUNNY IN BEGINNING AS I SAID TRY IT BUT DON'T HAVE OVER EXPECTATIONS

The author suffers from dementia and memory loss. The idea itself is beautiful, but the implementation is three stars. The main character has studied a lot of things, but all this is useless. Sorry. I threw it in the middle.

My friend suggest this novel for me, saying this is the best novel he read in a while. I'm so exited to give this a try.
