Shao Xuan joins a friend in his expedition to a recently discovered archaeological cave. After he picks up an ordinary looking stone he is teleported to a different world and wakes up in the body of a small orphan child. The world he is in now is still in its stone age with primitive tools made of stone and the ways of the people are savage. Savage isn’t the only thing special about the people though, because they have superhuman strength, jump higher than trees and punch stones. In short, they are able to cultivate their bodies. Despite all this, it is a real struggle to survive because of the scarcity of food. Together with Caesar, his pet wolf, he tries to survive in this cruel world. Collapse

The story was great 4/5 but the ending was a bit rushed. Could have done it more beautifully but hey, it was a good read.

a decent novel AND translation?! a combination of SSRrarity worth savoring not found in any other chinese written novel. the atmosphere is set well enough for you to atleast understand its primitive era and the mcs effects towards such culture. It couldve been much better with even grittier story and raw lore. A pilgrimage of ancient ceremony and rites of passage. Maybe one or 2 proper land seige hunt warefare. Stick in a waterfall bridge jungle battle and id throw money at it.

This was a refreshing read, characters are reasonable. MC, while pretty strong, the others are strong as well. There are enemies too that the dude simply cannot beat so that's also a good dynamic. While there are some plot points that can still be explored, overall this series did not overstay its welcome. Tribes have somewhat distinct personalities (though only MCs tribe was explored to the fullest) which is also nice since in almost every other cultivation novel, everyone is just the same.

You can even claim that literally villains are similar to MC, the only difference is that the MC has a lot of life saving stuff they got somewhere. The MC here, while not having a unique personality relative to other novels, it's not something similar to other novels as well where MC starts off as relatable then just turns into "benefit this benefit that morals and principles only as lip service!" which is understandable but only up to a point.

    Again, pretty refreshing.

Very well written with some politics and not only fighting, this is more of a how the journey is rather than this is how it ends type of novel.
    I recommend it
