Simply, underrated

I thought it was nice, but it wasn't worth getting excited about.

Why is it stopped at 903, did something happen? I loved Holy Roman Empire, author's other work, so I wanna read this one as well.

As someone who continue reading through MTL site , I could say that the story much focused on politics side, even though it got a fair share amount of kingdom building in it. It kinda interesting to watch them going up in hierarchy from mercenary group to building a kingdom . But, the final arc is a bit stretch out and the ending is a bit rushing, well due to the chapter reaching 1000, maybe the author had to quickly get a way to finished it, I don't know. For me, it's good as I will come back to read some part of the novel anytime.

Good historical novel with kingdom building. First 50 chapters are quite confusing with a lot of names then you just get used. Also first ~70 chaps author licks the ass of China almost every 5 chapters but I guess its related to chinese censorate and a must in order not to get banned from publishing, cuz after 70ch there is no such thing at all.

I would rate it 5/5.

If you expect default chinese things like face slapping, young masters and mc being able to beat everyone in situation of 1vs100 then you better leave this page :)

This one has too much history imo. It tries to be unnecessarily accurate to real life in the wrong areas, and takes conveniences at other places. Unless one is interested in the history aspect, this will get extremely boring (around half the novel I've read are info dumps, scattered throughout, maybe it gets better later but I dropped at ~165).
Translation is not really good, but better than mtl.
MC doesn't really use his advanced knowledge much, it is kept to a bare minimum required to move the story in a direction favorable to him. His character is also a "fully matured" version from the start so there isn't much development there. MC is a perfect orator, to always get his way. As far as I've read, his combat successes are usually luck, or others underestimating him and being careless. The political plays always end with keikaku doori by MC. So there's never any tension at all, to look forward to.
