Shao Xuan joins a friend in his expedition to a recently discovered archaeological cave. After he picks up an ordinary looking stone he is teleported to a different world and wakes up in the body of a small orphan child. The world he is in now is still in its stone age with primitive tools made of stone and the ways of the people are savage. Savage isn’t the only thing special about the people though, because they have superhuman strength, jump higher than trees and punch stones. In short, they are able to cultivate their bodies. Despite all this, it is a real struggle to survive because of the scarcity of food. Together with Caesar, his pet wolf, he tries to survive in this cruel world. Collapse

    •The power progression in this novel is very slow and confusing at times (which Irked me a little bit cause I mainly read novels with clear and fast power progression, but I got over it in the end)
    •Politics, Politics, Politics..
    •Chapters 350-500 were (IMO) boring af but fortunately it heated up again in later chaps
    •Can be a bit cliche at times but it doesn't really take away anything from the novel
    •The ending can be summarized in three words, "Up for interpretation"

    Conclusion: The negatives I have about this novel are mostly due to personal preferences, which is good thing for the novel I guess

    Great novel
    MC grows with every step and unlike many novels where author undergoes amnesia and mc at start and end are like fire n water, the character of this mc is well defined. He learns, grows, fights and establishes. The world building is great and frankly the novel had a lot of potential ahead don't know why author ended early but the ending did not felt rushed in some ways it could be even called better but its just my unwillingness how it ended in just 800chapters

    This novel is truly great. Why you may ask well it is a basicly a cultivation story type ( even tho hardly the case since there isnt what you may call cultivation in it) it beginns with the mc living a pretty bad life being an orpan in an tribe where there are many dangers so he has to step by step try to become more adept in the harsh Environment and become stronger (thats the beginnig no spoiler there) what it excels in is the world building and Immersion like the beasts the harsh world of winter sure it isnt perfect but still fun to read as the story progreses many new things will be added the mc slowly becomes stronger but you never have the feeling that he is just realy op or was growing to fast it also mainly focuses on his tribe and certain events surrounding it and the other tribes. What it doesnt do good tho are wlso quite a few it never realy goes back to the vibes it gave in the beginnig sure it tries but due to certain cercumstances it doesnt achive that also sometimes it will feel a little empty even tho the story mostly is continues. What i mean by that is that he doesnt have a true end goal for himself perse which is annoying and may even be the reason for the bad ending
    to note is that despite sometimes mentioning from the author (how beatiful some people are or how some are attraktive and stuff) there is no form of romanze in this at all which can be a little weird if you know in what world they life in and the mcs abilitys but thats just minor part from me in conclusion i can say its a solid 8,5/10 which is quite high from me for such a novel which goes on and on while many conflicts take place and there also is a power sytem where some beings are realy op( but mc never even gets close to some beings in terms of power) but all of this is my personal critic( chars are also quite good not perfect but not flat)

        Yep there are even tho after the end i am not sure but it still is likely the case.
        (But they arent humans or even able to speak human language, they are beasts)

    Review as of chapter 279. I had to take a break right about here, because, in recent chapters, the translation was all over the place and made it hard to read (for me at least). Overall, for the setting the story takes place in, it is definitely a 5/5 for me. Who would have thought that a story taking place in a "prehistoric" kind of setting, with tribes, stone tools/weapons, etc could be this interesting. The power system is unique and every tribe we meet has a different type of power (or unique ability, depending on how you want to call it). I won't get into too much detail, but the story focuses on traveling and adventure more so than combat, which makes it even more interesting since the fights are few but brutal. Definitely give it a read, it has a slow start but it gets only better as the story progresses.
