I had my doubts about this novel and it devolving into mindless gore porn. But the skill of the author is evident. The focus is on the character interactions and mindgames. The MC is definetely not interested in killing or torturing the others just for the sake of it.

It will be interesting to see the larger worldbuilding. My only pet peeve is that the stakes are not very clear or enticing. What can you get out of winning more time in the new orld and is deportation death or being sent back to the normal world?

Caught up all mtl raws, the novel altogether is pretty well written, characters seem human enough, and mtl translation is readable.

In this story is sort of a mix of imposter game and jigsaw death game types.

God imitators design the game and play the game with players, there are many group of players, not much is disclosed for example how many ‘communities’ etc, communities go through death games, each community has one god imitator, so the games get chosen by the system called gallery, this is just background as summary doesn’t really give you the feel of the novel.

Won’t spoil but in general it is just a decently written story, the main character seems very very smart, traps are decent, overall a decent read if you have nothing to do, not peak, but not bad.

Its good, some people just can’t handle the yap and want immediate action. Not much else to say, its not the best, but its good enough for now, I’ll change this rating once I catch up, if I decide its not worth it. 4/5

Wouldn't using "Losing Money to Be a Tycoon" be much better?
I have no idea what Almighty Game Designer is, but LMTBAT is one of my favorite urban novels.

Editing and putting this in the beginning of the review because I view it as important: This novel is mainly three different phases

1. The main character gets notified by the Gallery to make a game this is the shortest and lasts a whole chapter or less

2. The game itself which don’t all have the main character proactively in it or making the game

3. The review where the group discuss the game and how it went with insights and everything

They are not mutually exclusive, you can skip the entire game and only read the review or vice versa the reader is god after all 🤷‍♂️

Writing this review in chapter 100 and It’s fine it honestly depend on who reads it though it’s mainly about the main character who becomes an “Imitator god” who can make games as heeded by the gallery within certain limitations to complete certain broad “tasks” such as “distribution” or “judgement” the main character is in group 13 with each group having 12 people but there is more info like a voting based system where people can propose rules and if it has a majority (7) then it is passed and the main character “competes” but it’s mainly getting their game chosen by the gallery from different Imitator gods though it’s not how it seems and the main character isn’t a god gamer dude main character who always gets the highest ranked evaluations and always gets his game chosen but he’s highly valued im assuming while he also has to hide (which he is doing quite well) his identity though this is obvious however and later encounters lots of things I’m probably forgetting to mention but a lot of this information is basic ass shit I might get wrong 😑 so forgive me on that and other things you may have guessed but I hope this isn’t too spoilery and panic does not chase and find my home to slap a warning on my ass like a creepy uncle nobody talks to

i love it

Truthfully, boring as f*ck. They dig too deep on the same talking for muktiple chapters about one thing. It's like author is trying to make us understand his creation of the game and how cool and smart it is. The relationship divide between the group seems interesting but i just can't take the torture anymore.
