"Cautious protagonist"... The author likes to make characters cautious, just like Han Jue...

This comment is just a rant as if you read the story a little bit you’ll quickly notice these but if you wanna read it anyway and want a smooth reading experience just skip to the end.


I like it but everyone putting the Dao Ancestor’s meat in their throat 24/7 is starting to get old and the story is kinda repetitive as all that really happens is “The Dao Ancestor stays in the dynasty for incense points and advances his cultivation and deals with the various enemies that arise(mainly bc of the dynasty) who never actually show up early enough to defeat the Dao Ancestor(in the story at times there are various enemies that are stronger than the Dao Ancestor but by the time they show up he’s already 10X more powerful and has new problems) and as he gets stronger those enemies he had previously are now cannon fodder compared to him(if it wasn’t for those meat munchers on Lonqiu Mountain you would’ve thought Universe Realm experts were weak asl) and as he defeats these enemies and get more incense points bc of that, and the cycle repeats and i read to chapter 230 so i’m ok with these problems but the human race being everyone else’s(demon race) bitch, like during the events of chapter 230 everyone thought the demons who attack are natural calamities and this pisses me off so much bc theres people who know that these are just demons and everyone martial artists included still act like there calamities(which they are as someone in the novel said when this happened before in 7 years 90% of the population was killed) and this wouldn’t bother me as much if the humans in this novel weren’t so insignificant compared to the demon race(so the story says) like you keep seeing various “powerful” martial artist who were “invincible” in the same realm who practiced for hundreds of years, various powerful dynasties, and the all powerful Martial Emperor Realm but for some reason which i think was addressed a little in the story(i forget, i just resumed reading this) the human race is the demon race’s bitch and there so weak that when young demons kills some humans and ends up being killed THEY come for revenge and your either 1. so weak you think there attacks are a natural calamity or 2. a martial artist who can’t do nothing about it. im going stop here bc now im just bitching about the story’s main points 😭😭.

well good

Went quickly from trying to avoid calamity by staying on the mountain and not leaving, to involving himself with the royal family, to collecting slave subordinates, building a force, and intentionally acquiring every enemy possible. He even states he doesn't want to live a wandering life, so he chose to stay and be involved in peoples schemes and assassination attempts. Seems so badly written and forced.

Just like „ top tier providence“ this novel gets really exhausting after some time.
It’s always mc chills then the enemy comes and threatening mc‘s people but mc just sits back and waits until last moment, then in an impressive show of power he defeats his enemy’s and everybody is like „woah he’s so strong“, „he is a god“, „I knew he can defeat the enemy, I never had doubts“…
The problem is that after the tenth time with always new and stronger enemy’s it gets really boring. And the over all plot that’s running in the background progresses unbearable slow.
