But the Underworld is drowning in true darkness... so, shadows have to complete a journey through a realm that is inherently hostile to them in order to find peace. There's literally no worse place for a shadow to be."

    no way every shadow has to cross the underworld . There has to be some sort of saftey mechanisim for shadows to safely cross . How else do shadows even manage to reach shadow realm

    Although the Creature of Darkness had attacked them, it was not inherently a hostile force. The reality of facing an abomination that was not hellbent on killing him for no reason whatsoever was a new and deeply strange experience.

    in a way sunny is pretty similar to a nightmare creature because just like a NC is hellbent on killing those of the flame once he gets fixated on killing something he will try his damn best to try kill it till his dying breath (or sometimes even after death)

      Narratively it isn't interesting to keep using that trick. Also there is the issue that it is like a shot to the face for Sunny to use it. It takes an immense physical and mental toll on him.
