Cultivation: Start From Simplifying Martial Arts Techniques修炼从简化功法开始

I want to like this novel, I really do, the MC is actually smart, which is a miracle, but the author is simply doing too much.
There is never a moment of rest, the main character is always embroiled in some sort of drama and is constantly in danger and it is the kind of danger that although sounds stupid, is actually believable.
I read around 120 chapters, here's an example:


ALL OF THIS HAPPENED IN THE SPAN OF LIKE TWO WEEKS.

IT IS SIMPLY TOO MUCH.

Don't get me wrong, the story is very good, but I feel that everything is happening a bit too quickly and suddenly, every few paragraphs something new has happened before I noticed.

Overall, I do reccomend it, only if you like a very fast paced story.

Story Development:
It fairly good, I think the only problem is pacing. The author makes certain realms seem impossible to reach, so the MC has to do break rational to reach those realms.

Every time the author talks about mc speed of cultivation he throws in “that if other know they would be astonished.”


Writing Quality:
I won’t say the writing quality is bad, what I will say is the MTL that is translating this novel is not great.
It’s at least somewhat readable better than most MTLs. I think the most annoying mistake is that there are two major realm that sound similar which confuses the mtl and breaks the immersion.

World Background:
I have to say that the world is well written, I really like the strange realms and heart realms a great addition to the novel.

My only main problem is the lack of important exposition, the author will go on a tangent for half a chapter about useless information or how powerful mc is, but will gloss over important information.

Also the world progress to slowly, and when it does progress it does so only to make the mc cultivation seem like it follows some type of logic, when everyone know it doesn’t.

Character Design:
The MC is more of just a means to end, I think most people read this to get the hit of endorphins from mc cultivating and reach higher realms.

Side note: Real Mc in “system novels” are the systems, the Mc using them are just tools to progress the ‘True Immortal System’.

The story is actually very good, it kept me engaged for 135 chapters but it's completely let down by a trash translation. It's literally barely edited MTL. The sentences are exactly the same as MTL from novelhall, just the names and places are changed.

I wasn't here, it's all a work of your imagination and schizophrenia!
