        I read your suggested novel. Premise is nice actually but the novel is too detailed that one cant help but scroll through the chaps. Yet it still has too many plot holes. Nothing really fascinating or makes it one wants to read more. What just barely made me until chap 900+ is that I wanted to know what other soul pets MC acquires. Other than that, it was very boring.

          Well, at least you gave it a chance, I like it, but well, not everyone can like it the same.

          Although from the "genre" of spiritual beasts, I would say that it is better than others. I've seen at least 5 or 6 (if you count one in which the "pets" are "cards" and, it has a "system" that doesn't get the full potential [Divine Beast Adventures]), where the protagonists play a level of being absurd or irritating in some way, excessive forced "script expediency" points, characters lacking a "something" that makes them relevant, or details in personality that make them without "life" or "system/classification" "that are sometimes left without explaining or detailing enough.

          Well, there is another one that I like and it has a different feel to it, no idea if you will like it or not, but I will mention it: 牧龙师/dragon tame, if you search for it on novelupdate you will find it or, you can search for the original.

    Too much competitions, town competition, aviation, and university test, and university 1st year and 2nd and 3rd and etc.. Competitions, city competition, continent competition, all world competition in fact even silk thread competition he joined in as well, everywhere he goes there must be competition he just visited wilderness because its his reward and out of nowhere officers came up with competition whoever grab many treasures is number 1 and author srsly made Mc number 1 again, I lm really pissed off story became shit of competition, I wanted to explore the world and travel and see various mysterious things than the number 1 bullshit started and Mc pretending to not care what a joke, Mc is like epitome of perfection everything he do must shock others and perfect and he act indifferent, I dropped this story because there's racism and number 1 bullshit, author didn't know how to describe the world and plot so he came up with number1 bullshit

      He grabs all opportunities for competitions because he's from a poor family and he needs resources like metals and pet food and artifacts. I dont know about racism tho. I think its more of a competition between warzones so other warzones will criticize or take advantage of something when their warzone could get an opportunity.

    Im currently enjoying this one. No cheat system aside from the fact that he is an OP cultivator before he died and reincarnated in the current world, a pokemon-ish and soul land-ish type of world mixed together..

    So he teaches his pet cultivation techniques and draws pokemon 😆😆😆
