Gary Dem is a person with a secret. While coming back to school appearing as a whole new person, he does everything he can to keep this from the people he cares about. For his path is one that led him to become part of the underworld.

The world has changed, and gangs rule the streets sponsoring big corporations. Bribing politicians behind the scenes and controlling the decisions people make without them knowing it. Using a new breed of humans called the Altered, a mixture of man and beast.

It was only meant to be a side job, he was never meant to dig in too deep, but on a mission for his gang, something went wrong, something changed him.

    Ah yes, JKSManga , the absolute pos. Few points to note about him:
    - snowflake
    - narcissistic
    - scum
    - childish
    - retarded
    - huge ego
    - literally said f#ck off to positive critisizm comments.
    - actively deletes low ratings
    - pins the comment comparing his shitty
    novel to likes of Lord of the Mysteries (see webnovel review)
    - loves retarded MCs (maybe they are just his personifications)
    - boring fillers
    And so on.
    Extra: When I once commented on one of the chapters that he was leaving some plotholes and pointed out some inconsistencies; he replied, "Who tf are you? If you know so much write your own f#cking novel and I'll see if it reaches top. My novel is at top because its good. I know what is good. You .... (Insert few more sentences about how his novel is at the top, while ignoring the abovementioned flaws) ...."

    All in all, justifiably so, for most people, they hate him and even if he writes something on par with Lord if the Mysteries, they won't be giving it a go. Let alone another dung tier composition of scribbles that he calls a novel.

      I totally agree with you mate, in my opinion as a reader his novel is bad and almost trash, when I see a lot good review on the comment section it’s make me wonder do I live in the parallel world -.- how can trash novel can have all the good comments, now I know how this is happen.

        He came basically out of nowhere and dominates Webnovel ranking to this day.

        As usual, people hate on such a success story, probably wondering why it couldn't have been them. >_>

        Personally, I can understand some of the critique, like the beginning of MVS isn't reinventing the wheel. You can liken it to fast food, you know it's not as great as a home made meal or something, but it helps sate the craving and its also popular with a large percentage of the populace ^^

        Same as 'fans' shitting on Call of Duty or the latest Fifa, they might not have anything new, but why should publishers change anything if they make boat loads of cash XD ?

      well, I have not read this book to talk about it, but about author is normal for this to happen, the author is known to delete negative comments to climb in front of better books in the webnovel - and on other sites that this is not possible, these negative reviews will appear in large quantity . The previous book was reasonable at most, only took the place after the Lord of Mysteries ended and excluded negative reviews.

        Actually, this is not necessarily true.
        If you go on WN and check, there are a lot of negative comments, however, because of how many positive ones there are, it looks like he deletes them,
        Moreover, WN automatically deletes reviews that have certain words on them so the author may not necessarily be the one deleting them.
        Also, reviews don't really matter on WN as all the top novels are pretty much the same.
        Regarding the performance of the book, although it isn't the best of books, the reason why it's so popular is because of two things
        vampire and system
        back when novel first came out those were the most trending subjects.
        So it quickly rose to number one and from there it retained number one spot because its the best novel with regards to novels that you should read when first starting to read webnovels.
        Its like the entry webnovel and thus why its doing so well.
        (also, WN probably bots some of the stats)
        But it cannot bot trending ranking which shows how much author make, that is not bootable.

          MDS = My Dragon System

          Both are JKS other works, and all three are part of a trilogy.

          Each one follows its own protagonist, but there are certain elements linking them together.

          MDS is the first book, and also first chronologically.
          MVS is the second book, but chronologically it's the last.
          MDS is the third book, though its events takes place like 1,000 years before MVS.

      It's more like people hate the author. You can't fairly rate his other novel TVS in web novel because all the censorship and mass deleting of low reviews, how it constantly top the list even when there are better books with higher viwership or rating etc... so its naturally he'll get trashed everywhere else,

        This is false info.
        On web novel, views are meaningless. Meaning that if you just click on the page that's one view.
        So it is a useless index to measure the performance of a novel
        Regarding reviews, if you check there are plenty of negative comments on his novel but WN automatically deletes reviews that have bad words or certain words so the author has no control over that (it also deletes good reviews with those words)
        What you should be checking is collections and trending on web novel
        Those are the two accurate measures
        Trending measures how much people are spending on the novel and collection at who puts it in their library.
        ...and since author still makes it to top on those lists, it is a good indication that novel is just genuinely performing well.
        So I don't know where you got that info from, but please don't spread false info like that.
        (He may have deleted some reviews, but all authors do that. Take a look at cultivation online a raring of 4.9 when here its far lower)
        Btw, this is coming from someone that doesn't like that novel very much, tried it but dropped it.
        I still felt the need to defend the spread of false info.

            Check his stuff, there are plenty of low stars on the novel. Webnovel automatically deletes them. Or did you perhaps put a one star? If you put a one star on the novel, than fair enough. He has every right to delete it.
            The book is judged based on five criteria, and if you put 1 star on writing quality and update stability, than author has every right to delete them as that is false info.

              Kumb, You might not know this the TVS was written by web novel inhouse writer and they own the complete right, that's the reason even if there are a few low review the total rating is always top of the page and it's #1 on most categories even when it doesn't deserve it. They won't even let novel update list it on their site for user review. Do you still think it's fair rating?

                All novels on webnovel are 100% by webnovel. That's how the contract works. Authors will sell the copyright to webnovel. So there is no difference between his and the other books. Moreover, the author of MVS was actually just a teacher before writing. Never worked for webnovel before.

                  Webnovel only own online publishing right for most novels and needs to pay a portion of the earning as royalty to the authors. The author also own other more important rights like graphic illustration, printed publishing, animation and movie/show rights. It cost a ton of money to own everything about a novel written by someone else but that's not the case of in house writers under contract. That's why WN heavily promote their own product over others.

                  Moreover there is manhwa for all three of JKS novels
