The story about the barbarians just maaade me really mad. Like f#ck. It was like:

-MC met a girl from the tribe and married her for his plans

-Traveled to barbarian lands where sun don't shine for his plans and met the tribe

-Become elder of the tribe, have agreement and cultivate their sacred fire

-Got sick and plans fall apart, wife runs away again together and goes back to the land with sun.

-The agreement of barbarians going to the land with sun is off the table

-MC is healing and barbarians invade the land with sun

-Barbarian killed indiscriminately and rape women like they are slaves and toys.

-MC's adopted daughter have sect full of women fought back but failed, probably got rape and killed too

-Cities conquered because barbarians are strong, do whatever they want

-MC succeed of cultivating the sacred fire, take her daughters to watch him aura farm.

-Goes to fight leaders and shows sacred fire then cheers! He's the barbarian king! Barbarians follows MC

-Daughter ask adopted daughter why father didn't kill barbarians because they are bad who raped and murdered people

-Adopted daughter was like "Welcome to reality" father is not good but he is not bad either. Fu#k the people when he can benefit and only cares for the family, only helps if he can.

-Daughter be like: but he said I should be kind and stuff? The other be like: nah,

-Now MC has an army of barbarians, life of the family is good and safe, f#ck those people MC wants soldiers.

-Barbarians actions are normal because they are barbarians(strong and lot of them), they can rape, murder and play to their hearts content but MC will lead and teach them now so...all's good everything should go back to normal.


I mean sure, MC been cautious and heartless if they are not family and friends but omfg, I can't stomach it. Time to stop reading for a while and come back later. I enjoyed his character until that shit happened but yeah this shit is dark.

6/10. Тhe main advantage is that the main character can gain practical experience, strength, and knowledge by improving techniques by spending points for this obtained through intimacy with his wife. The author holds back the main character too much. You can't call him a time traveler. He's like an old butcher who hasn't seen the Internet, he doesn't even try to experiment with his cheat, trying to awaken different skills. He didn't even accept the free technique offered by the sect. Now he's trying to make a technique out of his experience of slaughtering pigs from his past life. Here's one excerpt from the novel: "Of course, mastering a new skill isn't easy. I felt something with that first blow, but the subsequent cuts seemed kind of strange. Well, don't rush. I slaughtered so many pigs in my past life that I definitely have an advantage when it comes to using a blade. I'll just continue tomorrow."

The main character seems to show his loyalty to his wife, but he holds back his growth for her sake. He should have quickly become strong to protect himself, but he's in no hurry. I understand he doesn't age, and he supposedly hides his powers, and also has feelings for his wife. But he also has to understand that in a world where there are martial arts, ghosts, etc., he has to become stronger with all his might in order to preserve what is dear to him. Therefore, he will have to sacrifice something. But the author said: Some readers have asked about skill development, how the protagonist might acquire and refine various abilities. The short answer is that it won’t be easy. He needs the right tools, enough time, and the right environment. If every skill could be mastered in just a few days, that wouldn’t really be a skill, would it? Nor would it make for an interesting story if the protagonist just stayed home training in bed and became invincible overnight.

Our protagonist already knew how to train dogs and had plenty of interaction with a tiger, which led to the development of the beast-taming ability. Rest assured, the story won’t neglect such skill-building elements, but neither will it be over the top. This isn’t a tale about becoming godlike in isolation and steamrolling everything unchallenged.


Instead, it focuses more on a small individual surviving in a strange, chaotic world, gradually growing more formidable while witnessing the endless ebb and flow of time. As for questions about the fate of the female lead—like whether she dies, and how it’ll be handled—I do have plans. It won’t be an abrupt, she died, the story ends, nor will it be a simple, get stronger together and achieve eternal life. I’m aiming for a third path. Stay tuned!
