“I saw with my own eyes that they used the finest, rustproof refined steel to make utensils and cans, filling them with just a little food, then casually throwing them away after eating.”

“I saw with my own eyes that they used giant beasts as tall as mountains to devour soil and rocks, digging out underground cities, just to park their steel carriages beneath the surface.”

“I saw with my own eyes that they fed glowing ores into an everlasting stellar furnace, unleashing a radiance brighter than the sun.”

“I saw with my own eyes all those indescribable things.”

“Their iron birds covered the sky, their steel ships filled the ocean, their war machines tore the earth asunder, and their gods walked upon the world.”

“You must think I’m mad.”

“But it doesn’t matter.”

“It has already seen you.”

Oil is Its blood.

Thick smoke is Its breath.

Ore and steel are Its food.

The countless cargo ships in the harbors are Its myriad offspring.

The place of origin stamped in the corner is Its silent mockery.

They claim they are mere mortals.

Child, you’d best not argue.

You must understand:

Their technology is beyond comprehension.

Their production capacity is unimaginable.

A mere glimpse of their creations will drive you insane.

Their morale surpasses even the most fanatical worshippers of dark gods.

How will you stop them?

With your sword, child? Or your flesh and blood?

You should be grateful that they still consider themselves mortals.

“I’ve finished building my factory, and now you’re telling me this world runs on idealism?!”

“Wait, then what the hell did I just create?” Collapse

It's a good novel. I don't know how but read till 93 without realizing it. Chapters are short though.

novel synopsis that has enough information, flowery words, and strong enough hook to knock on this hardened heart, it actually makes me want to read it straight away!

Funny, it made me feel the exact opposite. The flowery, long winded, information sparse intro made me feel like this was written by an art student that got lost in the sauce.

Makes me suspicious that the author is going to be lacking in real world insights.

The first few chapters may seem quite off-putting due to the pseudo-scientific nonsense, but it's worth giving the novel a chance and reading until about chapter 10.

Well, I've read all the current chapters and I have to say I was extremely surprised, I won't give away any excessive spoilers, so you can rest easy, that said, let's get to the summary. welldone

    Current ranking: B (4.0 to 4.5)
Note: I've only read 87 chapters.

    Potential: A (4.5 to 4.7)

The novel takes place in an apparently "normal" world that is about to inaugurate its industrial revolution and our MC appears in the middle of it. kef

After a stroke of luck, or bad luck, he ends up discovering that the world is not as ordinary as he knew and that there were things far beyond his knowledge inhabiting the waters of his kingdom, even though he himself was far from ordinary. oru2x

The novel mixes kingdom building, comic horror and steampunk, a seemingly strange mix, but one that has created something very interesting and fascinating, I won't say why, as it would be a spoiler, but know that the MC is a genius, Lmao. swindler

Speaking of him, I can sum him up in a few words: "Mad scientist!". hlst

Someone who knows a lot about material sciences, history and various other subjects, someone with a fervent desire for change and who wants to show the power of steel and gunpowder to this seemingly backward world. 3

Armed with modern knowledge and an iron determination, he tried to change the world, only to fail, so he decided to make use of the maxim: "If you can't fight them, join them!". 9

The supernatural and science work together to create a monster that uses oil as blood, smoke as oxygen and steel as flesh. Will the brilliance of science and wisdom win out or will ignorance and pollution devour all that remains in this dying world? hokage

That's what awaits you on this journey. Good luck and happy reading. 12

The title and image make it sound bad, but it's surprisingly good. It's not quite a masterpiece, but it's certainly a solid read.

You should be grateful that they still consider themselves mortals.

They are mere mortals, what can they do!

    Them:
“I saw with my own eyes that they used the finest, rustproof refined steel to make utensils and cans, filling them with just a little food, then casually throwing them away after eating.”

“I saw with my own eyes that they used giant beasts as tall as mountains to devour soil and rocks, digging out underground cities, just to park their steel carriages beneath the surface.”
