In a world where monsters dominate, and humans are but one out of ten thousand of the population, Gao Yang, having transmigrated to this world at the tender age of six and led the life of a normal boy until his eighteenth birthday, must seek the truth and survive against all odds—with the help of a mysterious system, a bottom-of-the-list Talent, and the companions he meets along the ways.

What is hidden under the facade of an ordinary city and its ordinary occupants? What are these different manners of monsters, and where is the line drawn between monsters and humans? Could relationship and love be true when all are merely playing their own parts?

Ride along on his journey and find out!

Official blurb translated from Chinese:

An orphan, Gao Yang transmigrated to a parallel world at the age of six, and he was given the gift of a loving family of five.

However, with the coming of his eighteenth birthday, Gao Yang found out by chance that this is no parallel world, but a strange domain where his family and friends can all be terrifying monsters! He almost got killed when he realized the truth, and he would, if not for the system and Talent he acquired at the last moment, Lucky—the longer he lives, the stronger he will become!

Now commenced the battle royale of a lamb among wolves… Collapse

The author is cooking like crazy right now around chapter 1080. For those who were stacking chapters or stalling like I was, catch up quickly because crazy shit is happening (partially because I stacked up a lot of chapters and caught up, now feeling empty and I want others to feel the same) forwhat But one hurdle some readers might feel is how damn long some fights are, if you’re ever feeling tired just skim through at that point, or slowly read it while taking breaks like I do.

It's not that everything is so bad, but a number of things seem very artificial. This is especially true for combat. In particular, all of the MC's talents seem useless, and he uses his super skill, which costs stat points, too often, although in fact the situation could have been resolved without it.
He also stubbornly does not increase his main skill - luck - spending stat points on everything except it.
It seems to me that the author is TRYING REALLY hard to prevent the MC from becoming too strong and to make the fights interesting. But in the end, the fights are too artificial and annoying, and the MC is useless. Not always, but often. Even if by all the rules he should quickly defeat the enemy, for some reason he drags out time, after which the situation gets worse.

    What hell looks like?
I feel like i got one answer in about 900 chapter of that novel.

    Is good? Yes.
But it is also very flawed.
It is a very certain type of flaw, and if you hate it, it is probably not book for you.

It is also very misleading, as among the lines an descriptions, there very different story's that cold happen but never did, or will. I will say first 100 chapters is something with infinite potential. Next 200 is a good story. After that... Well, read for yourself.

I'll be quick, caught up to the most recent chapter and here's what i have to say.

Foreshadowing: Above Average/ 3.5/5, I like the foreshadowing in this novel although it's nothing noteworthy

Plot: Great/ 4/5, It's note a game changing plot like LOTM but the way the novel slowly changes itself around the main character makes me want to read more

World building: Great/ 4/5, World is fleshed out and you see how complicated this world is in the later chapters

Finally Characters: Amazing 4.5/5, Probably this novels best aspect is the way it builds characters. You never see someone die and just NOT know who they are. It's one of the saddest and best things about it in my opinion

I'm sort of biased but this is how I rated this novel so yeah🤷‍♂️

I've read up until ch37, and almost every chapter has left me pondering how dumb something was in it.

It was pretty good in the beginning, despite some plot inconsistencies and convenient twists that didn’t make much logical sense, but served to move the plot forward. However, especially in the middle, it got much worse. Later, it improved again, but overall (up until chapter 957), it's about a 6-7/10. The first 100 chapters by the author almost feel like they were written by a different person—sure, they weren't perfect, but they were at least less problematic than the later chapters. Still, if you enjoy mystery, it's probably worth a try, although I do think you need a lot of experience to avoid getting frustrated.

Pff. Why does everyone hate harems? Because they're just not done well. In fact, a harem is much better than a pseudo-harem, in which everyone falls in love with the MC, but he stubbornly remains faithful to the one and only, who is in fact far from the best.
Good harems are much better than these pseudo-what-for-whatever-there harems.
For example, Martial World. It's a harem and it's the best. There are other examples. Not to mention Chinese novels, remember The Wheel of Time.
But I agree that harems like ATG are just crap. First of all, there shouldn't be too many girls. Authors need to have a sense of proportion, then the harems will be good.
Also, there shouldn't be any annoying bitches in harems.

I was excited because I saw someone comparing this novel to LOTM and decided to give it a go... I ended up reading up to chapter 30, obviously I ended up being disappointed, it's not a bad novel by any means, but don't expect a masterpiece

lol I don’t know who compared this to lotm as even though I like it I wouldn’t say even say that, but your argument is flawed. I for one liked the beginning of lotm but many others didn’t, so you judging this novel based on its beginning when lotm has such a slow beginning is flawed. How many people said “wait 200 chapters till lotm gets good” and you’re judging this based on 30 chapters…

First 300 chapters good 300-930 shit. This novel definitely shouldn't be this long.
The author loves killing a character and bringing it back in the next chapter. After a while, you don't feel sad when anyone dies. Also, in one episode, he gave a big spoiler for the future, and all my curiosity died.
